Originally designed by AD 100 Architect Peter Bowman, this Fully Staffed, 5,000 sft, Luxurious Beachfront Villa in Conchas Chinas in Puerto Vallarta rests proudly in the center of Amapas Beach. Marea Alta sits behind us on the hill above. Take a 10 minute walk by beach/ road to Playa Los Muertos & the Romantic Zone. This is a private home. There are no shared amenities. The Pool, Terraces, etc. are not shared. The Villa features 3 master suites w/ private baths, two trundle beds and an additional small (11'6 x 8'4) lower level room with sleeping for 1 or, in a pinch 2, good for a teen or nanny. Villa Marea Baja is fully staffed with English speaking Concierge, Houseman, Chef, & Maid. Staff prepares 2 meals per day of your choosing. Guests pay for food (about 10% less than U.S. prices), and alcohol. Concierge does all shopping for you and provides receipts.

The Villa features white interiors, Slim Aarons Photography, a more open concept, new wet bar, Hotel Collection Bedding, Beach Chairs, & Snorkle Gear. The private infinity pool accents the terrace overlooking Banderas Bay. This private villa is the beach front sister property to Villa Marea Alta. The sister villas share an elevator, which brings you to your private antique double door entrance for Villa Marea Baja. Explore PV and have a grand time! The only Villa on Amapas which offers private beach service!

The concierge arranges Airport Transportation.

The elevator is not inside the house. It takes you from street level to the front door. Stairs are required to get to the 3 bedrooms upstairs, lower level smaller bedroom, and the beach. The elevator and beach gate are shared with Marea Alta, the sister Villa directly behind our House.

The beach is swimmable for kids and adults, best in the area!

Guest access:
Keys will be given upon arrival by the concierge. Come and go as you please. There is also an intercom to the main gate which can be opened by staff inside the villa.

Escape from reality - Perfect rental & staff

I was hesitant to book, but pulled the plug after spending months researching online. Don't waste your time hesitating, this is a "no regrets" rental. The villa is authentic; charm & character greet you at the front door. From the moment you pass through the weathered wooden doors, you're taken away to paradise. The rooms were laid out perfectly for my large family, we were never cramped yet always felt connected. The staff was magical. Every afternoon they would close up our bedrooms, activate the air conditioning, and make sure all was "well" before retiring for the night. Each morning everything magically opened back up, beds were made, laundry completed. There are a lot of great places to eat in PV, but Beto was the best. Every afternoon he would surprise us with delicious delights like tortilla soup, carne asada, mole, and seafood paella. My kids were obsessed with Tony, he was so kind and went out of his way to make them feel special. His pool-side drinks made their vacation. Finally, Ana was my favorite. She would say "anything for you!"

Truly the experience of a Lifetime!!

Staying at Villa Marea Baja will no doubt go down in history as one of the best travel experiences of our lives! 7 of us came to celebrate our 40th birthday year and 30-35+ years of friendship and this property was the perfect environment to facilitate comfort, fun, excitement, adventure, pampering, exploration and beauty. Not to mention the colorful and vibrant Mexican culture! PLANNING - so smooth and informative from the first email I received from Monse @ Mexi Travels. She accommodated menu requests, shopping requests, custom cake ordering, ALL transportation to and from our adventures, two bookings of in house spa treatments and at least half a dozen special requests after arrival. Always just a text away. ACCOMODATIONS - Think Architectual Digest Worthy. The open air home is stunning!! Materials, furnishings and decor are authentic, classy and beautiful. The windows open to the most amazing oceans views and sounds. The house plants, the table settings, the glassware, the beds, the tile... I cannot say enough. Your jaw is sure to drop upon arrival and honestly the enjoyment of the ambiance never faded. THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO RUN THE VILLA - Tony, Humberto and Anna are 3 of the most kind, hardworking, genuine, sweet, talented souls. EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTIONS!!!!

We were celebrating our 40th Wedding anniversary with our children. There were 7 of us (including our 2 yr old granddaughter). From the time we arrived, and were greeted at the door by the amazing staff (Anna, Tony & Humberto) w/ fresh cold washcloths, welcome drinks and appetizers, until we left (7 days later) we all felt like we were in an amazing dream. Villa Marea Baja is more than just a destination, it is an experience. For our family, it was a trip of a lifetime. Paradise

This was a very special place for our family to spend some quality time together. It was so hard to leave the property. It is even better in person than the photos show online. The staff went above and beyond to take care of everyone and we all felt very spoiled. We had a two-year-old and a six-year-old and the staff made sure that they had something to eat and drink at every meal. Plus the Strawberries and lime popsicles were a big hit. Anna brought the girls a little gift and homemade cookies. She’s very sweet. The location is spectacular. The meals and margaritas were so delicious. This is the first time we have ever had a staff taking care of us. It was phenomenal. The absolute best thing we experienced was our son proposing to his girlfriend/fiancĂ© on the beach below the property. It was beautiful and so exciting. We want to thank the owners, the staff and Puerto Vallarta for the wonderful and memorable vacation ❀

Great Beachfront Villa!!!

This villa is lovely and we are so happy with our stay! The highlight of the villa is the breathtaking view and the superb staff: Humberto, Tony, and Ana treat you like royalty and execute their jobs to perfection with genuine kindness and expertise! The heated infinity pool is AMAZING! The advantages of choosing a beachfront villa are obvious: easy access to swimming, beachcombing, and seeing whales every day!!! I was less aware of the disadvantages: the surf at PV is thunderous so at night most guests will need earplugs, and the beach right in front of the property is small and busy on weekends and holidays. Since the villa is so close to the beach you will get frequent whiffs of cigarette smoke and cannabis and unfortunately despite the surf and earplugs we were woken twice at around 3 a.m. by drunken tourists who were screaming and swimming. The concierge company did a poor job with the airport pickup, we were not met as expected and the instructions provided were wrong. They were very professional when I gave them feedback. The grocery bill was ~1100 USD for breakfast, dinner, and happy hour (2 bottles of liquor) for 5 of us for one week. Consider bringing pesos to pay for groceries/any activities because the concierge company charges 5% to use a credit card and provides a low USD exchange rate. Ana kept the villa spotless! No issues with flies, mosquitoes, or ants, and no one got ill. We would come back in a heartbeat!!!

Daughter's 30th birthday!

Outstanding beachfront Villa with tons of privacy! From the time we walked in, it took our breath away ~ better than the photos. We traveled as a group of 6 for my daughter's birthday and had plenty of space for everyone. Everyone loved how the staff greeted us in style and continued to pamper us throughout our stay. Our chef prepared amazing meals to the point one of our scheduled nights out we chose to stay in. 5-star vacation experience!

Beautiful older home with great staff

Our 3-generation family stayed at this beautiful home for a week. Overall we had a nice relaxing stay. The architecture is stunning and the location is perfect: right on the beach, but private and secure. The back patio and pool are amazing. But what made our stay most enjoyable was the staff, Tony, Umberto, and Anna, who went above and beyond every day. There were also some significant problems. The home is older and needs some repairs. One bedroom toilet didn't work but was repaired. There was a leak in the ceiling of another bedroom and it rained often. The balcony door on a third bedroom leaked water inside when it rained, ruining a computer left on the floor. One of us got locked in a bathroom because the door lockset froze. We had to remove the door from its hinges. The kitchen needs some serious attention. Many of the appliances need to be thoroughly cleaned and upgraded. There is no sink disposal so food waste is put in a trash bin in a cabinet which is not tightly sealed, attracting lots of flies. The flies were constantly in the kitchen, often landing on food being prepared. There were tiny ants throughout the house: in the bathroom sinks, on the floors, and even inside our laptops. 6 of 9 family members got travelers' diarrhea even though we only ate at the house, so the home's water filtration system might be an issue. This house has the potential to be superb. But it really needs some repairs and upgrades. The dedicated staff was what made our stay enjoyable.

Perfect family vacation

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Marea Baja! Tony, Humberto, and Anna took such good care of us from the moment we arrived. The property is beautiful, with the pool and fresh food and drinks right there, and the beach steps away, it is hard to even want to leave to go out to dinner or explore PV! Tony and his crew went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including finding Nutella for our very picky 7 year old! We loved absolutely everything about this villa and are already planning a return trip to the same villa next year!

Villa Fun

Eight of us spent 6 days at Villa Marea Baja in early April. The villa was amazing. The three bedrooms on the second floor were fantastic. The waves lapping on the beach at night were perfect. The 4th bedroom is in the basement and tiny and probably shouldn’t be considered except in a pinch. The staff were all great and the food was very good. We spent a lot of time in the pool and almost none on the beach as it was overrun by beachgoers. Didn’t consider that the local families were all off for Easter. We all felt very safe and it wasn’t a major issue, but did get noisy.

Amazing location and staff

This was the second time that we have stayed here and we have already booked for next year. We love this area, walkable to the romantic zone and all of the great restaurants. It sits right on the ocean/beach so if the sounds of crashing waves, daily whale sightings during season and cool breezes bothers you pick another place. You are welcomed with Margaritas, fresh guacamole and appetizers, depending on your arrival time.Tony, Anna and Umberto, were amazing We generally ate breakfast there and sometimes lunch, this year we stayed in one night and Umberto prepared fresh Mahi Mahi. There are three main bedrooms with very comfortable king beds and en-suite bathrooms, there is also fourth bedroom downstairs, small like it was a maids quarters with a trundle, no view.Two of the three bedrooms have ocean views and the third is on the back with a little balcony for a parcel ocean view. You can still hear the waves from your bed there. The house itself has lots of options to enjoy the fabulous views of PV, you can see all of the way to Los Arcos, the Marina and across the bay to Nayarit. This house is very special, we feel very safe and at home here. I hope you get to enjoy this wonderful home one day!!

Paradise on Earth!

What a beautiful villa! It is truly breathtaking. We walked in & felt like we were in a dream! The pictures do not do it justice. The STAFF; Blanca, my sweet concierge who I emailed with for one year! She took excellent care of the planning. We stayed for a week & did multiple excursions, in villa tequila tasting & even an in villa mariachi band. The band is a must!! It was a band of TEN & they all were extremely talented! You will entertain the entire neighborhood too ;-) Chef Berto & Tony the butler were always smiling & eager to please! They quickly tended to every persons needs & went above & beyond every day. I am lactose intolerant & chef had no problem catering to my dietary needs at each meal. Marta the house cleaner was there every day, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, exchanging towels & doing laundry. Very pleasant! There truly weren’t any issues. Nothing is perfect so I’ll explain some preference items below but overall extremely happy with our trip & choice of villa. There are 3 beautiful suites, each with their own private bathroom. 2 ocean front rooms and 1 ocean view. The fourth room is small & on the lower level without windows & secluded from the rest of the villa. This room is definitely more suitable for a nanny or older child / young adult, as the owners note in the description. Other than the lower level bedroom, the entire home is open air! No true doors or windows other than the doors on the exterior for security. We were traveling with our 8 month old daughter who is used to a dark, quiet room for naps. This presented an unforeseen challenge for our particular situation. I only note this for any other parents traveling with young children. If you are sensitive to noise while sleeping, you will want ear plugs bc the amazing ocean crashes loudly all day & night. You are truly ocean front here! Lastly, the location is about 10 mins drive to the pier & downtown. There is always traffic so it is more direct to walk if you’re not in a rush. The walk is about 25 mins. I learned there are no private beaches in Mexico so you will have many people, locals & tourists, on the beach every day in front of the villa. The villa is very secure & we never felt unsafe. If you are looking for a more private beach with less people & less noise, you will need to travel further from Puerto Vallarta for that. Overall our trip was 10/10 and worth every penny! Thank you to Joe & the amazing staff for an unforgettable week in the sun!

Celebratory week

Everything about our stay in the Villa was wonderful! We had 3 couples celebrating birthdays and there was more than enough space for all of us. We spent most days enjoying the sun on the patio and the pool. The ocean is only a few steps away which makes it easy to run in for a swim or just a walk and beach. Bedrooms were perfect, each with their own bathrooms and privacy. The stars of the week are the staff that Joe has assembled. Tony is there to make sure you have everything and anything to make your stay memorable, from inflating pool floats to mixing the best margaritas. Ana was delightful and the home was always in immaculate shape. Humberto’s cooking was phenomenal, starting with breakfast to order every morning to dinners that beat any restaurant in the City. Make sure to try his Paella. This was our first time with a house staff and it definitely will change the way we travel.

Home Away From Home

This villa is incredible! It is beautiful and open. The house is just perfect. It has everything you need like your own pool, large patio, lounge chairs, a beach. The best part was our crew. Blanca, Humberto, Tony, and Ana. They are the best. We used to go to large resorts in PV. Not anymore, this is our new home away from home.

Incredible and Beautiful

We had seen this property from the beach on a past trip and were delighted to find it on VRBO when planning to head to PV. The lead up to the trip was very professional, with Mexi-Travels (Blanca) helping us with everything including excursions, massages, stocking of the kitchen, airport travel etc ... Then ... the Great Southwest Meltdown happened. We spent multiple days in long multi-hour lines at the airport and were tempted to give up. Our seven day stay seemed impossible as no flights were available and Southwest customer service was as bad as anything I've ever seen. Joe (owner) was great: very responsive and understanding of the situation. We finally gave up on Southwest and bit the bullet to take Volaris and Aeromar to get there. And while our 7 day trip was reduced to 3, it was well worth the trouble. The place is every bit as good as it looks on the property page (which is a bit unusual as most places are a little disappointing). The staff, including chef and cleanup, was tremendous. The food was so good that going out to eat at a highly rated restaurant one night was disappointing. This is truly one of the great vacation spots you might rent, and I can't recommend the place, the staff, the owner and everything else enough.

Lovely luxury right on the beach!

Villa Marea Baja is a wonderful luxury villa right on the beach in the swanky Conchas Chinas area. While not far from town you also have a wonderful relaxing privacy. The staff (Tony, Humberto and Anna) are fabulous. Tony is eager to please and attentive to your every need. Humberto is a gem of a chef. His meals are as good as any restaurant in town. (Try the grilled/barbequed snapper!). And Anna quite keeps everything sparkling. We went to relax and decompress and visit so we basically just chilled in the villa, dipped in the pool and walked the beach! This villa is booked pretty far out and we understand why!

Paradise in Puerto Vallarta

As others have said the house staff is outstanding. Umberto, the house chef, is a true talent. Having a personal chef has to be the ultimate perk while on vacation. Tony the waiter was there everyday and made fantastic drinks and Anna was better ta any maid service you would get at a 5 star hotel. The house is amazing with beautiful sunset views and the beach is just outside the back gate. You can walk in either direction along the beach, however, I was unable to walk all the way to town along the beach. The bedrooms each come with their own bathroom and the water pressure is good. We did get bit by mosquitos so that is something to be aware of in coming in August. However, every day we spent was a beautiful day

Villa Marea Baja exceeded all of our expectations

It is hard to appropriately convey how much we loved our time at Villa Marea Baja. For starters: Joe (the host) was communicative, responsive, & informative during every aspect of the booking process. Upon arrival, this stunning villa took our breath away. It has been built & decorated with intricate detail, and the landscaping is gorgeous. Nearly every room features floor-to-ceiling wooden shutters, offering an open-air experience throughout. We fell asleep each night to the sound of the ocean. The location is excellent; just far enough away from Puerto Vallarta to feel secluded, but within walking distance for those comfortable exerting themselves a bit. For those who prefer, it's a very easy & inexpensive Uber ride. Although we ventured to town a few times, we spent most of our time at "home," on the deck of the villa and in the pool, overlooking the beach. The sunsets over the ocean were fantastic. But for all its structural & locational beauty, we found that the highlight of this property is its staff. Berto, Tony & Anita each contributed immeasurably our vacation experience. Berto is a talented chef; every meal was perfection. His guacamole was a trip highlight, especially for our teenage travelers. (We went out to dinner in Puerto Vallarta one night, and although it was lovely, we all agreed that we would have preferred dinner prepared by Berto.) He was a kind & warm presence at the Villa, and an absolute joy to get to know. The same can be said of Tony, the houseman. Tony was there for everything we needed. Every morning he brewed and served our coffee, and then squeezed fresh orange juice for us. He crafted delicious margaritas for us every afternoon using fresh fruit and his special recipes. Tony anticipated all our needs, including setting up the umbrellas and chairs on the beach. We loved starting our days with Tony's smile as he wished us Buenos Dias, and we appreciated his genuine commitment to our comfort. Anita (the housekeeper) made her way through the house each morning and evening so quickly and with such efficiency that we barely knew she was there; but our rooms and bathrooms were kept tidy and clean, and the entire villa was spotless at all times. Anita was kind and gentle, especially with our "grandparent" travelers who connected with her despite the language barrier. In summary; we recommend this property without hesitation. At Villa Marea Baja, you will build beautiful connections and memories to last a lifetime.
