Gorgeous Secluded Cabin; Hot Tub; Mtn Views Pike’s Peak on 5 acres; hiking trail

Words do not adequately describe this cabin and the land that it sits on. Let’s just say, it is pretty special. This cabin was built in December 2020 and is located in the beautiful Valley of the Sun, just North of FairPlay and 30 minutes south of the Breckinridge ski resort. Full, unobstructed views of Pike’s Peak from the wrap around deck, surrounded by Pine and Aspen trees, plenty of gorgeous wildlife and not a neighbor in sight on this 5 acre secluded property. The property also boasts it’s very own hiking trail right (Moose Lodge Trail) which allows you to walk the perimeter of the 5 acres (you might even spot Bigfoot ☺️) concluding your hike with some stunning views. Granite and farmhouse sink in the gournet kitchen, with gas stove and breakfast bar. Gas fireplace in the living room, king size bed in Master, queen bed in guest room, then queen over queen size log bunk bed, foosball table, and separate living area for the kids (with an additional gas fireplace). Huge Hot Tub (8ft x 9ft), Fire pit, gas grill, and Pit Boss (smoker) for your outdoor entertainment. 2 car attached, finished garage (one slot available) with plenty of additional parking in the driveway. The acreage is simply stunning and serene. Lots of places to hike right near the property and unexpected adventures abound. There is even a sledding hill right on the property. Wonderful getaway for multiple families where memories will sure to be made. Additional discount off nightly rate for military members/first responders **excluding holidays. Beautiful Mountain House
This lovely home above Fairplay was fully equipped and comfortable! Set at 10,000 feet, the air is clean and the house is surrounded by trees. There are two cozy fire places, a wrap around deck, and so many great features. I hiked on the Pika trail four miles away. Aspen were starting to show some gold in early September. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Cabin
We had a wonderful stay! The beautiful view of Pikes Peak while still being surrounded by pine trees. The 5 acres this property sits on gives it a very secluded feel. This cabin had everything we needed and more. The owners have really thought of everything from family games, kitchen tools, blankets for cool evenings, popcorn maker, hot tub, corn hole, and more. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful home with a great view!
Very beautiful home! We loved staying here! Even though there’s neighbors close by we felt very secluded here. House was very clean. We were a little disappointed that the master bed was the most uncomfortable bed in the house. Just a little too firm for us. So we stayed in the guest room. The rest of the beds were very comfortable. Loved the location of this house, amazing scenery! And didn’t have to drive too far to find beautiful trails. We had an amazing time, would love to stay again!

Paradise in the Wilderness
Stayed for thirty days and enjoyed the weather and location immensely! Especially, when it was 100 degrees back in NC where we live. Hiked everyday, enjoyed the Hot Tub, and had a moose come to visit one morning. FairPlay was quaint and had a nice park for young kids to enjoy. Bill was easy to communicate with and quickly addressed any issues we had. Great stay at Moose Lodge!!

Exceptional vacation home
This property is in the perfect location. Amazing views and privacy while only a few minutes from fairplay and easy drive to Breckenridge. The hosts are awesome and very helpful. The property description and pictures are very accurate. As a family of 5 we had plenty of room. The hot tub is huge. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. The gas grill and pellet smoker are a plus. We would stay here again in the future without hesitation. Highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.

Fall family getaway
Enjoyed a long weekend with Denver family. What a gorgeous home with everything we could possibly want. Our son fixed ribs on the smoker and both evening meals we used the outside grill. The grand daughter's wanted waffles and the kitchen had a flip waffle maker and waffle mix and syrup in the pantry. A bonus to our stay our son brought an outside screen and projector and we enjoyed movies on the wrap around deck under the stars. Priceless Hopefully we can return to this beautiful home in the future.

Perfect Vacation
My family and I truly did not want to leave this home. It was secluded, clean and very well equipped. Communication with owners was terrific. It was so quiet out there and we were fortunate to have a clear night there to see the stars!! We drove around the area (went to Pika Trail) and saw FOUR moose. This home has everything you need and then some. Very well decorated and truly a perfect mountain escape! Beautiful home, property and neighborhood! We will be back!

BEST cabin, BEST location, BEST hosts!!!!
This cabin was better than the pictures and description! This was our second time renting from Carrie & Bill. (Two different cabins) This year was just perfect in every way! There were 6 of us (three couples) and there was more than enough of everything! This place was perfect for relaxing by the fire in the morning or evening, sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, taking a peaceful walk or a challenging hike on the nearby trails. Everything was just perfect! Communication was always fast and easy. We love the town of Fairplay but you're also so close to Breckenridge or Buena Vista for a different pace. We got back home last night and we are already looking forward to our next trip!

Amazing cabin!
This home and property is beautiful! The hosts thought of every detail and it felt very homey. The communication before and during the stay was great, they were always super quick to respond. We did get about a foot of snow while there, and within a day the driveway was cleared for us, which we appreciate! My kids had an amazing time exploring the property and sledding on the sledding hill. The hot tub was perfect for cold nights! We look forward to visiting again!

Awesome stay in Fairplay!
This is a beautiful place just on the outskirts of Fairplay. We had great communication with the owner Bill when we had a little snafu with the plumbing. The views are astounding and there is plenty too do! One thing I will mention, if you are staying from a lower altitude (like our family) look into a small dehumidifier as there isn’t one yet.

We had a great time relaxing at this cabin! It was fully stocked with all the bells and whistles and furnished to the T! We stayed the weekend and had everything we needed and more! Anniversary trip
We had a great time, property was spectacular. The house was clean and had everything you needed. From the hot tub to the fireplaces to the heaters to make you comfortable from the cold. Love the little town of Fairplay. Thinking of coming back with the kids.

Bill is a retired Air Force Communications Officer and now works for the Department of Labor. Carrie is currently Active Duty Air Force. We love all things outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, skiing, ATVing, snowmobiling, and just plain being together with our 3 teenagers.

We simply love this area and hope to retire here some day. We wanted a property that was secluded with views that we could make memories at with our three children. We also wanted a property that was close to Breckinridge for skiing/snowmobiling and close to Buena Vista for fishing, ATVing, and white water rafting. This property is right in the middle.
