Wildlife sightings — especially a moose near the bottom of the hill — always make the stay feel extra special. We also appreciate you mentioning the road conditions. The area is beautiful but more rural, and while the roads are maintained, they aren’t paved. For that reason, we recommend a 4WD vehicle, and during the winter and shoulder seasons, snow tires or chains as well.
