The Space:

Ready for a little rest and relaxation? We’re ready for you at SunDestin Beach Resort, located directly on the Gulf of Mexico in beautiful Destin, FL! Upon arrival, you’ll note all the amenities within your reach. A gift shop is located on-site and you’ll find plenty of meeting space available for special events or business meetings. Exercise enthusiasts will love the outdoor pool and fitness facility. Take advantage of the steam room and sauna and be sure to check out the outdoor hot tub! Everyone in your party will enjoy the outdoor tiki bar and complimentary DVD rentals. Beach chairs and umbrellas are also available for an additional fee. Our warm and friendly Scenic Stays team will be available throughout your stay via our 24-hour on-site front desk.



SunDestin Unit 0501 is a bright, cheerful, two-bedroom condo accommodating up to six people. This unit boasts a master bedroom with a king bed, a guest bedroom with twin beds, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room and two bathrooms. You’ll find flat screen TV’s in both bedrooms as well as the living room and a stackable washer-dryer conveniently located in the fully-appointed kitchen. Enjoy meals and snacks at the dining table with seating for six or take it out on the balcony.



Grab a meal, do some shopping and check out the view at the Destin Harbor, a five minute drive from SunDestin Beach Resort or spend the day in the sun at nearby Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park.



Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their  stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.



Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Highly recommend

Absolutely loved this condo and the whole resort. Our condo was well stocked with basic supplies, very clean, and just the right size for our group of five. Loved that it had a small washer and dryer available. The staff at the front desk, security desk, and gift shop were all very friendly and helpful. The location right on the ocean was perfect.

Great unit!

This was our 3rd year staying at Sundestin during October fall break. We love this condo and the amenities it provides. We frequent The Pelicans Roost often during the day. If I had any advice to give it would be that they try and staff a couple more people there in Pelicans.

Great vacation experience

Thanks his unit was perfect for two couples for a week. We have stayed at this property before and knew the property was good. The unit is very well furnished. If I could change one thing I’d put a queen in the guest room instead of two twins. Other than that thought absolutely love it

Great view of the beach!

We enjoyed our stay. We had a few problems - TV remote had dead batteries and no instructions for using it, and coffee pot quit working the second day- but they were quickly addressed by the front desk and maintenance staff. The decor needs to be updated, AC unit in front bedroom is very loud when it comes on. A table on the balcony would be helpful.

Nice Time!

Great view of the beach! Chair and umbrella rental company takes over the entire water line of the beach. If you don’t rent their equipment you have to set up behind them. The condo unit was clean with the exception of the floors. The bottoms of our feet were black from the tile floors. Cleaning fee includes mopping I would presume. Don’t believe the floors were mopped after the last rental. The ac unit works fine with the exception of the loud bang it makes when it turns on. So loud that it keeps you up all night and you jump when you hear it. It’s much louder in the bedroom where it’s located. It needs to be replaced or serviced. When plugging in our electrical devices it was noticed all the plugs are very loose and would not work unless you played with the plug. They need to be replaced. We had a fun weekend and enjoyed the stay.

Poor Resort.

This facility is awful. The walls had patch work that did not even get painted over. The ceiling is peeling. The master bed is so low thats it almost impossible to stand up getting out of it and it\'s a very old noisy coil spring mattress. The guest bedroom had to very tiny twin size beds that were so small that my 10 and 12year old refused to sleep in and chose the let out sofa. The nightstand in the master bedroom is on 3 legs. Every handle for the chest of drawers are bent. The glass door to the shower doesn\'t slide properly. The sofas are also dirty and the resort smells of musk.There was so much to complain on that we knew the receptionist would be overwhelmed so we just dealt with it. We\'ve stayed here back when Wyndham had it and it was totally different. The owner of this resort is definitely taking the cheap route and it shows. Also the smallest toilets I\'ve ever seen. This was just a awful stay. Suite 501 sundestin

Pros / cons of this unit…

The entire property is a bit odd. The location is great, but the building seems sketchy. As we exited the elevator to get to our rental unit, I was put off by the dark, damp, low ceiling hallways. The ac units are extremely loud and the whole place looks outdated. Onto this unit in particular: Pros - Beautiful views, right on the beach, high enough to see the clear ocean water and low enough to people watch and spot family on the beach or in the pool. Nice fridge, efficient washer/dryer in unit, AC worked well. Didn’t hear any noise from other units. Glad we were on a corner. Cons - cheap decor, felt dirty/grimy, outdated & bare looking furniture, low popcorn ceilings, chipped paint, bedding was bagged up and thrown on couch when we arrived, poor lighting, off balance ceiling fans (noisy and unstable), corners of box springs were broken and sticking out, no actual comforters - just thin stiff covers, outdated Formica counter tops throughout unit, very limited hot water for showers, cheap pvc patio chairs. It was an ok experience and glad we found something to book only a month out from our trip, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Old rusty unit

Rusted and broken down furniture and fixtures, roaches in the unit (we killed one and left on the floor so the janitors can see it), big trash bags were put in front of the unit( next to the trash chute) by other people, asked front desk to remove but no one showed up, uncomfortable stay
