Sparkling clean home in amazing location!

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Loon’s nest! Fantastic location, great communication and incredibly clean. Can’t wait to come back some day!

Great place

This house is awesome! Plenty of room, solidly built, perfect central location. Well equipped kitchen, would benefit from appliance upgrade. Beds comfortable, kayaks great with many life jackets. Large yard, quiet neighborhood. Yes, the access to the river is a bit steep but there are stairs and a nice dock. Lisa and Charlie very helpful, rent it you won’t be disappointed

Our second time at the Loon's Nest

Four years ago we stayed at the Loon's Nest and once again we had a wonderful time. The cabin is just far enough out that it is quiet and relaxing by the river. The moose were everywhere, we saw 20 of them. We hiked on several days and spent the nights doing puzzles and playing cards. It rained daily; we hiked in the rain and had a great time. It was so nice to get away and just relax, we grilled out side and even had a small fire to make s'mores. The Loon's Nest is beautifully decorated and a great place to stay.

Beautiful home and great piece of property

We had a really great time staying at this log cabin! The house was very clean and it was nice to be a little ways from town. A nice, secluded spot right on the water. The house really had everything you needed to feel comfortable. We cooked all of our meals during our stay and enjoyed the fire pit in the yard for dessert. The house was convenient to the Big and Little Moose Mountain trails, which we loved. Our only complaint is that when we arrived at the property late at night the house was frigidly cold. We had to have the pellet stove cranking out heat all night. In the morning we learned that the hot water was not functioning as well, so we were 36 hours without hot water. Luckily, the owners were able to have a repair man come by and remedy the problem on Saturday morning. Overall, we had a really nice experience.

Were glad you had a great time. We pride ourselves on a well stocked, clean cabin. We were notified of the hot water issue on Friday afternoon. We have a service contract with a local oil company and they had it repaired Saturday morning. ( circulator pump ) The home has hot water baseboard. The home has several zones which by turning the thermostat up would have resulted in instant heat. We have a pellet stove for backup or ambiance. It does put out great heat. Thanks Charlie and Lisa

Great week getaway

My family and I had a great week at this camp! The location is ideal and the camp is well stocked with everything you could need. This is our second time staying here and we hope to book again in the future.

Family Retreat

Short stay and a day of rain changed boating plans to indoor games. Spent one day riding trails on side by sides and enjoyed a great dinner at Maynards.

Great place to have an outdoors vacation!

This house has everything you need for an outdoor vacation! Huge yard, water access with dock for several boats, down to fully stocked games for all ages on rainy days. Lots of space for big family and stocked with linens, towels, fans, and lots of kitchen essentials. Lisa was quick with her responses and a wonderful host. I fully recommend this listing! Megan P.

Snowmobile get away.

First of all. Chuck was outstanding. Call the day we arrived and ask if everything was OK. Then a couple days later he called again and ask The snowmobiling was. He really went out of his way to make sure I stay was awesome. Can’t say enough about the loons nest. Comfortable spacious and very accessible to the snowmobile trails. We do plan on going back next year.
