We rent houses on MV every year and this house was a perfect location between OB and VH. Perry was great to work with and the house was beautifully maintained. The deck and yard were perfect. Remember to bring your spices, towels and paper products. We will be back again.

Incredible location for an easy walk into oak bluffs and the ecbc, easy drives to everywhere and a nice quiet landing space to go to at the end of a busy day. Beautiful, quiet street with the house being tucked back in off the road. The instructions provided were thorough. my bad, I am sorry I did’t turn up the air when we departed as instructed. Towels are not provided but we bought some and just left them hopefully for future guests as well as three beach blanket sized towels for the beach. There is a rental service on island we did not use for the towels. If you get chilly at night bring warm pjs and a blanket. Bedding was not most optimal. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and location with us! It was a lovely stay!

Ok but could be much better!

Pros: The property was very clean and offered a lot of space. The yard was lovely and big! The kitchen was fully equipped minus spices/cooking supplies (except for salt and pepper). The gas grill was nice and we enjoyed the outdoor space for the kids. Cons: Had to bring your own towels, washcloths, hand towels and beach towels. Only sheets provided- no blankets, duvets, or bed spreads!! Sparse cleaning supplies. Had ants all over kitchen counter one day. Location is strangely tucked into a side road. It was not close enough to walk into Oak Bluffs if that is important to you- have to drive or bike. Would have been nice if owners had more than 4 beach chairs and 2 small umbrellas since the house can accommodate more guests than that. Big bonus would have been some beach toys, boogie boards, and/or some bikes. May be ok if you are driving and have all of those items to bring but not if flying.

Thank you for the feedback and glad you found the place to be very clean and spacious. You echo the sentiments of all of our previous guests. In addition, the repeat renters from the last three years appreciate the location since it is less than a mile away from Farm Neck and only a little more than a mile away from the beach (1.2 miles). It is not unusual to only find salt and pepper being the only seasoning available since we request our cleaning service remove all items left behind by departing guests. The towels can absolutely be an inconvenience; however, I was transparent about this weeks in advance and provided you with the information needed to secure towels from the rental agency that several homeowners on the island use. There was also transparency regarding the other amenities mentioned which suggests in the future you just have to double check with the owner if they can meet all of your expectations. Even if you choose not to rent with us again, I do hope you come back and visit the island in the near future at a home that has all that you are expecting.

Birthday Celebration week

I was pleasantly surprised this house was available when I decided to change my plans at the end of June for a July 24 start in the Vineyard. Our adult group of 5 fit very well in this beautiful home. Fully stocked with the essentials, clean, bright and so comfortable. The owner, Perry, was always quick to respond kindly to any questions I had about the property. Loved the location!! We walked to the Trade Winds park every day. The joy on my mom’s face being back in her happy place made this week the best of the summer!

Can’t wait to return!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this immaculate and well appointed home. Spacious and set on a beautifully landscaped yard, tranquility loomed throughout. The property is centrally located which made it easy and convenient to plan our day. The Raineys were gracious hosts and responsive to all our inquiries. We can’t wait to return!

Cozy, comfortable home

Homeowner very easy to correspond with. Home is clean, bright and comfortable-just right for our adult family of 5. Family room with good sized TV and large, comfortable sectional. Lots of comfortable seating at table-great for playing games as well as meals. Beds comfortable. Despite the cold and rainy weather, we had a great time!
