Great Beach Vacation

The view in the posting doesn’t really do the unit justice. Top floor balcony that’s right on the beach with a fantastic side beach/ocean view. Had all of the amenities we needed including personal washer/dryer, large tub/shower (that can fit two people), fast elevator service, ice machine in fridge, full kitchen, and more. Overall we had an amazing experience!

Loose pipes

The view was very nice. The shower was nice, also. On our first day we noticed a wet floor outside the front door. It seemed to get wetter each day. Then my wife noticed one of the pipes from the air conditioner had come apart. She reconnected the and we think this might have the problem.

It is what it is

The room was clean, but the furniture is well worn (a few springs in the bed are broken) with humidity damage (paint peeling, fridge and oven is rusty on the outside, ceiling peeling off in parts, etc). The doors are also really drafty - we shoved towels in the doors to stop them from heating up the bedroom and whistling in the living room. The bedroom still doesn't cool down like the rest of the place, so we bought a fan and put it in the doorway to the bedroom so we could be cool enough to sleep. Also the elevator is SUPER HOT with no air movement. So you'll need to cool off and stop sweating once you ride up to the 21st floor. Not the rooms fault for that, but just be aware. Overall everything functions and is clean (except a few of the dishes), but you do get what you pay for.

Getaway stay

I loved being on the 21st floor with an outstanding view. The condo could be updated a bit in the living room. Found dirty dishes in the drawer in the kitchen. I must say check in was great experience. The ladies were very friendly. The lazy pool was small. The free breakfast was really good. Just wish there were more activities on the resort.

The condo was very clean and well supplied. It is a perfect location and parking was easy in parking garage half a block away. The condo was comfortable but just needs a little attention. Furniture is little worn. Some updated decor would add a warm lift.

I feel the cleaning, upon arrival could have been a little better. Definitely needs some updating. And towards the end of our stay the water started to smell like mildew. Yes, we are from upstate NY, but I’ve been coming to MB, including the Carolinian, most of my life and I have never smelled that before. Very odd! But, overall it was a great stay.

STILL NEEDS MAJOR REPAIRS!

The springs could be felt through the mattress of the king bed and are not supportive for a good night’s rest. The family room sofa and chair are just as uncomfortable as you end up sitting directly on the wooden frame. The carpet looked clean but had many sand spurs stuck in it. This unit has great potential with a nice setup however, the unit requires new furniture. The kitchen appliances have exterior rust so we skieved and didn’t use them. Tiled floor needs a good grout cleaning and laminate flooring in the remainder of the condo will help eliminate spurs getting stuck in guests feet.

Room was okay. The refrigerator has rust on it and the curtains have mildew on them. Couch is very hard and uncomfortable. Bed is worst than the couch. Mattress definitely needs to be replaced. Air doesn’t go below 68 and no ceiling fan so if you get hot easily, bring a fan. It wasn’t terrible for the price we paid. Not sure if we would stay again. Hotel is in a good location. Beach and the view are beautiful.

The air conditioner does not go below 68 degrees to prevent freezing; if the air conditioner is set to 70 with the slider closed, the rental will cool comfortable. We have notified the homeowner about the rust. We do hope you'll consider returning!
