Our beautiful home (duplex) is perfect for a large family or 2 -3 families vacationing together. One block, a 3 minute walk to the beach. Outside storage with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, 2 coolers, sand toys for the kids and a gas grill! This 6 bedroom, 5 full bathroom house allows everyone to have their own space. And, there is a fourth floor bonus room with a large deck for entertaining and a mini fridge! The house comes with excellent internet if you are working from the beach or streaming videos. Spectrum silver package cable on 4 flat screen TV's (living room, master bedroom, bonus room and 2nd floor bedroom). New 60” television in the living room. Cable, DVD player and many games for kids and adults. There are 3 decks for everyone's enjoyment and beautiful views of the ocean from the upper decks. Large master bedroom has blackout curtains, a jacuzzi tub and a shower. Fully-equipped kitchen and dining room. The kitchen includes a coffee maker, coffee grinder, keurig, tea kettle, toaster, blender, griddle, waffle maker, crock pot, plenty of wine, beer and champagne glasses and a frozen margarita machine! No need to buy bottled water, we have a reverse osmosis water faucet at the sink. We have a ring doorbell camera. Walking distance to ice cream and restaurants. The Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar (.4 miles), the Veggie Wagon - which has amazing coffee, wine, beer and homemade desserts (.8 miles) and less than 1.5 miles to many amazing restaurants, the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Kure Beach Pier. A 10 minute drive to the NC Aquarium. The first floor has 2 bedrooms - One bedroom with 2 twin bunk beds and the other bedroom has a queen bed with a jack and jill bathroom. Second floor has one bedroom - a Queen bed and full bathroom. The third floor has 3 bedrooms - one with twin bunk beds and a Queen bed and the second bedroom with a Queen bed with a jack and jill bathroom. The third bedroom - master bedroom with King bed and full bathroom. The fourth floor has a bonus room with a tv, mini fridge and a full bathroom. (Total beds - twin beds - 6, Queen beds - 4, King Bed - 1). Linens (sheets and towels) are NOT provided. You can bring your own or rent them at the beach. We had a family of 12 stay at Lori's home for a week and it was a great time. Very close to the beach and the home had everything we needed. We would highly recommend a stay with Lori!

Best beach house

3 families stayed for an extended weekend. The house is large with 4 floors. Beautiful kitchen. And 1 block from the beach which makes it a perfect walk.

Family vacation

Comfortable stay for 16. Easy walk to the beach. Thankful for the well stocked storage closet with beach wagon. Loved the patio seating on the main floor.

good time for family.

Very nice property. My family had a great time. Nice layout. Nice location. Only drawbacks were one mattress to soft and windows need washing. Overall a great place to stay. Balconies were great. Kitchen,living room very accommodating.

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful family get together; there was plenty of room for the nine of us to gather together for games etc and a clean well-equipped kitchen; we rented towels and linen from the company that was recommended-that was so very convenient The location was great; just a short walk to the beach and quick drive to restaurants

Beautiful House

The house was beautifully decorated and well stocked. We had everything we needed and Lori was always quick to respond when we had questions. There were 14 of us ranging from 5 to 75 and there was plenty of room for everyone. I would definitely recommend this house.

Had a great time.

We had a great stay at this beach house. Location is great and Lori supplied tons of beach chairs and other gear. The decor was very nice. The ice maker stopped working, but Lori responded promptly. Overall, a great experience. The one thing that I would have preferred was having linens supplied, but we brought our own and it wasn't an issue.

Room for Everyone

We had 11 in our group and the house was perfect! With 4 floors, 6 bedrooms, a pull out couch on the 4th floor, and 5 bathrooms we had plenty of room and didn’t feel cramped. The 2nd floor deck is where we all gathered in the evening and there was lots of room. The kitchen had most of what we needed and it was nice having a Keurig and a regular coffee pot. The walk to the beach was very short. We will definitely stay again!!

Extended Family Beach Vacation

This a very nice property close to the beach! It has great decks on every level. The host communicated with us quickly to resolve an issue with the ice maker. We had a great time!!!! The driveway can handle 4 cars but you have to do a lot of maneuvering to get in and out, and there is no street parking.

Perfect Place for Carolina Beach

Enjoyed out stay. We had 5 adults, 5 teenagers, and 1 6 year old. Plenty of comfortable beds and bathrooms. Beach closet is packed with everything you need. No need to bring beach chairs or umbrellas. Clean. Had what we needed in kitchen. Beach is a close walk as well as restaurants. (Side note for anyone traveling to the beach with older parents. Great rentals like this have lots of stairs and multiple levels. Just make sure you rent handicap accessible if you need it.)

Good beach spot

We had a good stay. Wasn’t clear it was just half of the house (duplex) from pictures. That meant lots of stairs, so older people or those with issues on stairs need to be aware. Downstairs bedroom is queen but extremely small and one married couple had to stay there, which was tough. Switched with another couple midweek to make it more equitable. Overall it was clean, had good amenities, good water, nice outdoor and indoor seating. Nice kitchen space.

Great family reunion

We had a wonderful week. The house was beautiful, and the air conditioning worked great. We brought stuff we didn't need to bring because the house was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials. Between the large dining room table and the 6-person table and chairs on the deck, we had plenty of room for sit-down meals. The storage room had plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, toys for children, and a wagon to bring everything to the beach. The best part of being a block and a half from the beach was the wonderful breeze on the deck where we sat for hours with our relatives. Oh, and it was great to have the outside shower and a hose to rinse off the sand when we returned from the beach.

Our beach vacation was August 2-9 2025. We had family visiting from Montana. The house was large enough that everyone had their own space. We cooked at the house for most of our meals and there were adequate appliances and utensils already in the home. We did have a problem with the freezer/refrigerator. It stopped working the first part of the week and our food was starting to melt. I contacted Lori and she quickly sent out someone to check it. When that didn’t work she had someone bring over a replacement refrigerator. She quickly fixed the problem and was very pleasant to work with! It was nice to have chairs and beach toys supplied in the outside closet. The beach was only a block away and it was a great way to wear the kids down before bed. We took them to the beach every evening to play and get all their energy out. We had a wonderful time visiting Fort Fisher aquarium, the battleship, rode the ferry to Southport and spent the day. We even had t-shirts made for Carolina Beach Summer Camp 2025. Great memories were made! Can’t wait for the next beach vacation!

Family get away

Loved the house and how easy it was to get to the beach --house was larger than we thought and having the balconies worked beautifully for us! We had some difficulty keeping our kids off of the neighboring driveway, but they were understanding. The only negative was that the house was not as clean upon arrival as expected: some garbage in the master bedroom, the couch had items left under the cushions, and the sliding doors had black soot in the grooves at the bottom so that if you stepped on it, it transferred to your feet. This was all minor. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

Great location, great host, needs improvement

This is a great location and the host is super responsive. Unfortunately, the house furniture and appliances are outdated/ old. We initially moved the house, but as the weekend went by we found a couple of roaches in some of the rooms. We tried lighting candles but didn’t work. It was just tough to get sleep because every time it was time to go to bed we would find a roach on our bed (king master room.) Couple of our friends had the same issue in their rooms. Other minor things weren’t working, like keurig and dryer.

We had a wonderful stay at this home, yet comparing it to other homes we have rented for our family, we gathered a list of improvements that need to be made. Since it was continuously suffocating heat during our week, the air conditioning provided a very welcome and comfortable vacation stay. If it were not so hot, we would have walked more extensively for the location was great. Suggestions for the owners: Front of refrigerator needs to have sn area rug because that particular Frigidaire refrigerator ice and water dispenser ends up in water down the door and ice scattered. The living room area rug needs to be cleaned or replaced. It would be helpful to have bathmats beside tubs. We do suggest the owners put a cement pad in front of the outdoor shower area, for to turn off the spray hose one has to walk where you get dirty again. The microwave did not work all the time. Large serving and mixing bowls along with more spatulas are needed in the kitchen. The sliding door into the bathroom from bedroom next to kitchen gets stuck when locked and trying to unlock. Second floor, middle bathroom door rubs as if the floor heaved up. The door needs to be cut down. The pillows were flat and lumpy; not all bedrooms had lamps, just ceiling lights. The bathroom floors and tubs and toilets could be cleaner. The balcony off the living room had roaches, so we had to buy Raid to make sure they did not come in. That balcony really needs a fan.

Our Annual Family Thanksgiving Gathering

Our family has a tradition of Thanksgiving gathering for more than thirty years. We go to different locations each year. This year on Carolina Beach was one of the best. The location, the accommodations, the location, and always, our loving family members made this year a hugh success. We will add Carolina Beach as one of our favorite places.

Great place for a family get away

We had a lovely time at this home! It was close to the beach and within walking distance of many different restaurants and shops. The house was fully stocked with the kitchen equipment we needed (Keurig for those planning their coffee needs). We loved hanging out on the various patios (three different levels!), and it was great for group time as well as down time to read by oneself. Lori was extremely responsive and helpful, and we would definitely stay there again. One thing for renters to make sure they know is that you need to rent your own linens and towels - this was in the description, but it was at the very bottom and we nearly missed it. This is standard in the Wilmington area, but was new to us (and we have been frequent VRBO renters).
