The Palm Leaf is a newly remodeled three-bedroom, two-bathroom private home with a pool and spa. This fabulous house is only a short walk to the white sand beaches of Anna Maria and a short walk to Bayfront Park. Stroll down to Pine Avenue and dine out at one of the many fine restaurants. Don't forget to explore the island on the free trolley that runs all day, every day from the end of Pine Avenue. The Palm Leaf has all the charm of Old Florida cottage ground level living with modern updates. All TVs in the house are Roku TVs. The open floor plan streamlines the living area, kitchen, and dining room with a second living area space. The vacation home has a well-equipped kitchen with all modern appliances and a perfect place to prepare the family meal!

The tropical, pool 32x13 and spa with the outdoor dining area has plenty of room for family and friends. Cook out on the gas grill and enjoy evenings around the pool. Enjoy an outdoor shower to freshen up after your day at the beach.
The pool heat is $150.00 a week. Pool heaters in private homes are locked for your safety and controls must not be tampered with as they are monitored by the pool company. 86 F is the highest heat temperature setting which might not be always reached. Please note if cold days and nights occur, water temperatures will drop and may stay cooler longer. Pool heaters will not operate and will automatically shut down if outside temperatures get too cold. While we take every precaution to ensure that pools are heated as specified, weather conditions may affect the temperature of the pool. Nothing can be done about this issue. Outdoor spas are not hot tubs and require heat at the additional cost. The temperature of a spa is typically set at the same temperature as the pool. In the event of pool equipment malfunction during your stay, Duncan Real Estate will expedite repairs as quickly as possible. It may be necessary to close swimming pools for maintenance purposes. No refund or rent adjustment will be made for circumstances beyond our control, malfunctions, or loss of use of equipment or amenities.
There are two covered parking spaces underneath the carport and an additional two parking spots in the driveway.
Please keep in mind that you are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property. Our stay at the Palm Leaf was okay. The house has had renovations which are nice. The bathrooms could use a renovation, tub, tile, towel bar etc. we found several nails and screws in the front/side gravel area and a few by pool which may have been left by the upgrades. The back pool area is wonderful. When making breakfast Saturday, the morning after our arrival on Friday, we found mouse droppings in the pots and pans and the cupboard. I called the after hours number given and the person took the information about the mouse incident and said someone would get back to me. I did not receive a call back. I called the weekday number for Duncan Real Estate on Monday but they must of been closed as the number rang and then clicked off. I called again on Tuesday and did talk with someone who gave me to another person. She said she never got the message that I had initially called. They did get a cleaning service to clean up the mouse problem. I was disappointed to see an after hours number that didn’t have a follow through. Why have the number if your not going to respond. I have learned once again that renting from real estate/rental agencies is very different than renting from the actual owner who puts their personal touch and care into the property.

We see your initial call at 7:42 am on 2.14.26. We received the report from our Answering Service on the morning of 2.16.26 and cannot understand why we didn't reach out to you. The Palm Leaf
The house was very clean and very well appointed for 6 people. There was plenty of room to relax and enjoy the property. The kitchen has most things you would need for cooking.
The pool area is fantastic and especially well suited for children as their is a shallow area with just several inches of water for splashing around. The pool furniture is very comfortable.
We spent mornings at the pool at walked to beach for the afternoons.
Issues that we encountered:
We paid the additional fee to heat the pool and the temperature was too hot. The management service came out the next day and indicated that the heater was functioning at "spa temperature" so they turned off the heater but it took about 2 days to return to a temperature that was refreshing and not too hot for swimming. The management company indicated that they would have to work with the owner to determine if there would be a refund or pro-rating of the fee to heat the pool.
The propane tank on the grill ran out while we were cooking dinner for 6 people. We contacted the management company and they indicated that they could replace the tank the next day.
The main bathroom does not have any towel bars or hooks which is a minor inconvenience but could be improved for a property hosting 6 guests.
We did encounter two Palmetto bugs in the house on different days (one in the living room and one in the kitchen). I do not know if this is to be expected in Florida but it was alarming to me.

The pool area is, as you mentioned, great with lots of room, comfy furniture and an oversized pool. We are very sorry that there was an issue with the pool heat while you visited. The owners were happy to refund you the full amount of the pool heat for the inconvenience. We are also sorry that you ran out of propane on Sunday night. We are On Call 24/7 for emergencies (plumbing, AC, lockout etc.) and advised you of the 4 places where you can get a refill and we reimburse the cost. On a normal weekday we can come right away, which we did on Monday. Florida, being in the Tropics, do encounter a Palmetto bug from time to time (we see that beetles are common in Michigan where you reside). It's still unacceptable to find live ones in a vacation rental home and we have spot treated the property thoroughly after learning of your experience. We really appreciate your business. Perfect rental
We loved everything about our stay here. Great location, close to great beaches, shops, and food. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean and had everything we needed. The pool was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
