Unique newly constructed tiny house we named the Drunken Mermaid due to its mermaid tiled shower and bourbon barrel furnishings!
0.9 miles to cruise ship terminal and 1.8 miles to Alaska Sealife Center and Downtown Seward!
Private and quiet location.

Hosts live in main house connected by a covered walkway to tiny house.

Seward stay

This is an amazing property!! It was one of the best, if not the best VRBOs we have stayed it. Clean, comfortable, perfectly decorated and great location.

Quick overnight stay

This is a beautifully decorated one bedroom tiny home that is worth a visit in itself! It feels very homey and every detail of this design was well thought out. It's in a perfect location and quiet at night.

Cozy getaway

The Drunken Mermaid is a cozy home away from home. Thoughtful touches, including coffee, snacks and treats welcomed us. Julie, the host, was very helpful, great communication before and during our stay. If we’re ever in Seward again, we will stay here!

Our stay was amazing. The cabin was so cute and perfect for our little stay after our cruise. It was close enough to walk to the little waterfront if the weather was a bit drier. There was a grocery store close and we were able to grab our essentials. I highly recommend this cabin if you’re planning on staying in Seward.

We loved our stay at the Drunken Mermaid! The little house is amazing with attention to every detail and extremely clean. It’s perfectly decorated and well stocked. Great location and very quiet. I was in Seward on business for 14 days. This place made me feel like I was at home. Great use of space, modern amenities, and the WiFi was strong. Favorite features of the property were the backyard lawn furniture made from skis and the ski lift chairs. Also loved the use of an actual porthole in the bathroom. I will definitely book when I return in a couple of months.

Convenient location to town and wilderness. Clean and creative and comfortable and functional space. Host was responsive.- Not a huge issue but surprised at large boat on trailer in front of the unit to store for winter resulting in partially blocking windows.- First time using VRBO. Overall process and experience good, except: Disappointed in VRBO damage deposit policy in that we have to wait as long as we do for reimbursement. Host and housekeeper immediately confirmed we left unit in good shape, as we should, but host does not control when VRBO releases damage deposit. VRBO, it's been close to two weeks, can we please have our damage deposit returned? thanks

Beautiful little mermaid house!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Drunken Mermaid in beautiful Seward. The set up and flow of the home is so well designed and Julie has a real knack for art and decor. We both enjoyed the vibe and the attention to detail such as the working porthole in the shower or the tiles mimicking scales in the kitchen backsplash and shower. Well appointed kitchen and Julie was amazing with helping with questions as needed. So nice to have her right next door! We appreciated staying a bit away from the typical hotels in town for a few days and having the extra space and washer/dryer,(laundry soap included). I enjoyed seeing the peaks of the mountains through the upper windows of the home. Lastly, thank you for the little gift bag and for everything Julie!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Drunken Mermaid. The attention to detail of the themed accommodations is quite commendable and our host, Julie, was very helpful and accommodating. Her timely communication eased the logistics. This is a perfect stay for your pre-post cruise sailing. It is a 5 min drive to the port, close to a grocery store and gas station. 5 - 10 min drive to town and Exit Glacier.

Amazing

Better than the pics online depict - I wish I could move this tiny house to every place I visit! Perfectly cozy. Kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen among the ~10 rentals I’ve stayed in in the past. Location was quiet. Having laundry and and ice maker was a bonus. Literally zero complaints. Would recommend to anyone going to Seward!

A total treat to enjoy!

This was our first stay in a tiny house and boy did it set a standard! It was so comfortable and perfectly planned out to make your stay easy and wonderful. Loved our stay and can't wait to go back. The decor was beautiful and the entire property was meticulously cared for! I'd highly recommend this treasure of a place in a heartbeat.

We have stayed in a bunch of places and this by FAR the BEST place we have ever stayed!!!! The place is beautifully designed and decorated, it is so cozy and the bed was AWESOME!!! I wish we could’ve stayed longer, if I am ever blessed enough to return we will DEFINITELY stay here!!!! It’s close to downtown and the cruise ship terminals.
