Two bedroom, fully furnished apartment with private entrance on 3 wooded acres

This cozy fully furnished apartment is located on the ground floor of our log home. Located on three acres just 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, basic spices (and if you need a spice and I have it in my pantry, I will gladly share!), Keurig coffee pot with a starter supply of coffee pods and teas.

The bathroom has a good-sized shower and we keep a supply of body wash, shampoo and conditioner on hand. Leave your hair dryer at home -- there's one in the unit!

One bedroom has two twin beds and the second has a queen bed. All have comfortable bedding - all of which are washed after each reservation using ALL Free and Clear detergent and Lysol laundry sanitizer.

The washer/dryer unit is located in the mechanical room just off the kitchen and an initial supply of detergent and dryer sheets is kept on hand.

The property has lots of birch and aspen trees, a few spruce, lawns and flower beds, corrals and barn.

During the winter months and the northern lights are dancing in the sky above, you just have to step out the door to take in this amazing phenomenon. There are no street or city lights to prevent a good viewing.

If you're visiting us during the winter months, we highly suggest you rent an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle with good tires that is winterized for our Fairbanks winters. Driving can be challenging! An engine block heater is especially helpful. We have an extension cord and outlet to plug into -- but we are not responsible if your vehicle doesn't start during our cold winter days.

PLEASE NOTE. We (owners) live upstairs. We have pets and we're a busy family. We are conscientious of noise levels and try to be as respectful as possible about this while living upstairs. If you are looking for silence and a more isolated location, I suggest looking for alternative accommodations.

Our goal is to give you an enjoyable, homey place to stay while you discover the wonders of Fairbanks.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Raspberry Acres! We were in town to sightsee and visit and this was the perfect spot for our adventure. The apartment was beautiful - it had everything we need and lots of thoughtful details. Rooms and beds were very comfy and it was delightful to sip coffee and look out the picture window at the beautiful trees in the mornings. We felt like we were tucked away in the woods but it was a very convenient location for our excursions into town. Kathy was a great host and made sure we had everything we need. Would love to come back!

Family friendly apartment with full size kitchen was a blessing! The entire apartment was spotless and welcoming and made us instantly feel right at home! Lots of books and games to use which was a bonus! Location was perfect and the addition of daily views of Chip the Smokey Mountain horse to their adorable golden retriever greeting us, Kathy was the ultimate host! Highly recommend booking this apartment if you’re in the Fairbanks area visiting. You will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing stay. Raspberry Acres was very comfortable and our hosts were wonderful. The horses and pups amd chickens were welcome companions as we walked the property from time to time. Aurora Trip

The host was welcoming and communicated well. The place was everything you would expect. Picturesque area views through the Paper Birch trees. Cozy quilt bedding. A full kitchen with Keirig coffee. And the occasional Aurora siting.

Greatittle piece of Alaska Heaven!

The cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath was a perfect spot for us. Outside of Fairbanks, its a bit in the country, so you dont hear traffic noise. Its located in the downstairs area of the owners home. The owners were very accommodating and friendly but stil giving you privacy. Very clean accommodations! Would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Fairbanks area from fall thru summer.

What a beautiful spot! It’s close enough to Fairbanks and its outlying places of interest for day trips galore. It was immaculate and had everything we needed from towels and toiletries to cooking pots/utensils and some pantry sundries. We didn’t need to take the owners up on their kind offer for anything we needed because we had everything. It’s a lovely space, and we recommend it highly.

Spacious and quiet

This unit was perfect for our family of four. The unit is spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The property is quiet. The room darkening shades were fantastic - which is very important if visiting in the summer time. Kathy was a great host too. I recommend!

Cute place

This house is so cute! The grounds are beautiful placed in the woods yet so close to town. Host has plenty of pamphlets for things to do in the area and a list of good restaurants in the area & a Kitchen stocked with everything you’ll need if you prefer to stay in. Quiet and peaceful during normal sleeping hours, the only noise we herd from above was the dog playing and a few footsteps, but definitely not enough of a deterrent to stay somewhere else.

40th Anniversary get-away

Lovely home in a rural setting. The hostess was amazing, and couldn't have been kinder. It was easy to get to, just a short drive from Fairbanks. Made a great "home base" for us to do some interesting activities.

Steve and I grew up in Juneau and moved to Fairbanks in 2005. Our two adult children, their spouses and a total of five grandchildren ranging in age from 10 to 23 live nearby.

Our little mini farm includes our golden retriever Mila, Dillon our orange tabby cat, several chickens and our Rocky Mountain horse Chip.

Steve is an avid hunter and fisherman. Kathy loves riding Chip, gardening and quilting. As a family, we all love camping, spending time at the cabin on the Chatanika River, snowmachining and four-wheeling and trips to Valdez for fishing.
