Charming Coastal Resort Cottage - Gated Private Beach Entrance

In 7 years of hosting, this guest was one of the most disrespectful guests I have ever encountered. The home was left in a shambles with damages and broken items throughout. They had no regard for the house nor for the housekeeping that had to clean up their mess. They left goldfish snacks and other food items opened in drawers under the beds and floor.They moved furniture, TVs and beds in all the rooms and left them. They broke a designer lamp and refused to pay for it. They broke the slats out of two beds probably by bouncing on them and classified that as normal. Their kids colored on the furniture which had to be repainted, they spilled drinks and other liquids on the beds such that housekeeping had to replace the mattress covers and bedding envelopes. They broke glasses from the cabinet and worse, left the glass on the floor and then suggested in their review they did not have enough glasses for their party although this is also false. There was macaroni on the walls and trash and debris all over the home. They did not follow the rules of the home as posted and I would never host them again. In 7 years, housekeeping has only asked for additional fees three times and here they took 26 pictures. One incident was a spring break frat party that broke couches, coffee table and other damages. At least the fraternity had enough maturity to pay for their damages but these people have taken no responsibility. This review of "3" is retalitory as HK asked for $ 100 extra, not me.

Thanks for the nice review. The internet cable was struck by lightning of course and we were at the mercy of Cox cable to repair the damage. (they did come but not sure when) Glad you had a nice time. Brad

Vanessa, thank you for the response. However my wife and I were puzzled at the rating. In four years of rentals we have never received a three star. Your comments said you enjoyed the stay and it was spacious etc. but you did not share why the rating was so negative . We use a service for the cleaning and ask guests to let us know if anything needed repair or attention and you did not communicate any problems which we would have immediately addressed.
