The Bird House in Comox

Immerse yourself in nature and comfort at this beautifully designed cabin 2km from the town of Comox. In a treed rural setting, this private retreat is complete with a fully equipped kitchen, concrete countertops, heated tile, locally made wood floors, 24 foot high ceilings, and cedar paneling. Come relax and enjoy this special space as you watch deer walking the wooded trails from your window and listen to the curious whistling and piping notes from the resident eagles. Welcome to Comox!

The space
The main floor hosts the living room, kitchen and dining area, small bedroom and half bath and up one flight of stairs there is a great loft area that serves as a TV room and office space overlooking the trees. Great angles impress with the Gambrel roof architecture. There is a luxury bed with buttery sheets and black out blinds in the master bedroom. This project was a great vision for us and we invite you to come and feel the 'wood hug' of this great little cabin!

Comox Cabin

I stayed here for two months, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. It is close to many walking and biking trails,. Fishing and hiking were the highlights of my time spent in Comox. There are also many sites to see within a an hour or two drive.

Quaint cabin in the trees!

This property is in a great location. Walk to balero beach or explore the many trails. Comox is super close! Surrounded by beautiful trees in a quiet neighborhood.

Fantastic!

We stayed at The Birdhouse for a week from August 19-26, 2022. The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful area. It’s very clean and it’s set up well with all the basic necessities. The bed is soft and comfy. The shower pressure is perfect. The cottage is bigger inside than it appears from the pics. It’s roomy and perfect for a small family. Our dog enjoyed her stay too. We saw a cute tree frog on the deck and deer in the front yard. Comox and Courtenay are the prettiest cities on the island. We had excellent meals at The Tidal Cafe and the Black Fin. Airforce Beach and Filberg Park were so beautiful!

Wonderful time in perfect location

Melanie’s house is very Casey, fully equipped and in a great location with many wonderful walks right from the doorstop. We saw deer often passing through and lovely birds. Loved Comox and this house made our three week stay wonderful - in a great neighborhood. Melanie a great host. Thank you - hope to be back!!

The perfect vacation spot

The most gracious host ever. A beautiful rural setting that’s minutes from the beach and from downtown Comox. The best of all worlds. Highly recommended.
