Situé dans une rue calme de Union Bay, à un pâté de maisons de l'océan et offrant une vue sur Denman et Tree Island. Cette suite de 2 chambres avec parking dans la rue et entrée privée offre un excellent répit après l’agitation de la vie urbaine. Idéalement situé dans la vallée de Comox, à proximité des villes de Cumberland, Courtenay et Comox, du mont Washington et du parc Strathcona. 1 heure de route du terminal de ferry de Nanaimo, 30 minutes de l'aéroport de Comox et 6 minutes du ferry de Buckley Bay

We had a great stay in this suite in a heritage home that was moved to Union Bay from Vancouver. An amazing feat! Very clean with a comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. My only recommendation would be to have a Nespresso machine for guests. I loved the location in Union Bay; just a short drive to Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland. Also close to Qualicum Beach. My dog and I really enjoyed walking at the Royston Seaside Trail. If you enjoy finding coffee shops, you’re in luck. So many in the area!

My third or fourth time staying here, and always a great place to relax and use as a base for walks along the shore. It's increasingly rare to find a place friendly for bigger dogs, and the fully fenced yard means my old dogs can sit outside and sun themselves without being tempted to chase the local rabbits.

Nice, very clean and comfy suite in a lovely heritage home with nice garden. Quiet area but we felt that neighbourhood wasn't the best for walking if going for evening stroll or dog walk although there is a field close by to throw ball for a bit. Disappointed with no view from property for guests. I misunderstood the pics I think and the view in listing pic is upstairs which hosts have. Jenny was very nice and helpful and brought out a fire table which was appreciated to enjoy the evenings. Good central location.

We were very comfortable with the Hatton House guest suite. It is clean and well equipped with a very functional kitchen. The two bedrooms are compact,one with a queen bed, and the other with two twin beds.The bedding linens/duvets/pillows are all very nice. We loved that the suite is private, fully fenced and dog friendly, and the garden is lovely with lots of seating areas. The owners are very responsive and friendly, but give you your privacy.There are many interesting dog off leash trails in close proximity, and Union Bay is in a perfect mid Island location for lots of road trips to other towns and villages and beaches. We were very happy with our stay here, and would highly recommend.

This is one of the nicest vacation rentals I ever stayed at. My friend, her dog and I had a wonderful time. The suite was very clean, spacious and well equipped with everything one might need. Being so dog friendly was an extra bonus for us. We definitely will come back again

Cozy place to enjoy mid island

We had an great stay at this property near Comox on Vancouver Island. The house was spacious and well-equipped for our family of four, plus our dog. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.The property itself was incredibly pet-friendly, with a fully enclosed yard where our dog could run around safely. The house was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to extra blankets. The location couldn’t have been better. We were just a short drive to Comox and the surrounding beaches, which were fantastic for walks with our dog.The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, offering us helpful local tips and making sure we had everything we needed. They clearly care about their guests' experience, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Overall, this was an ideal getaway for our family and would recommend.

Cute hideaway for a quiet vacation

Haddon house was a lovely place to stay for our island vacation. Beautiful gardens surround the outside eating area and entry to suite. Comfortable bed and very clean and well stocked unit. Windows open at night keep the suite nice and cool. There was a big field very close so our dog could have a good run around.We highly recommend this place and will return in future.

Hatton House — our best ever experience!

Best friends for over 45 years, J. And I try to meet for an annual getaway. The Hatton House guest suite far exceeded our expectations. From the lovely gardens to the immaculate interior and the very thoughtful homey touches, we couldn’t have asked for more. We loved the quiet privacy and although we never met our hosts, thank you Jenny and Richard for everything! It was a perfect stay.

Great little pet friendly find in Union Bay

Right from the beginning our hostess Jennifer was awesome. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable and it have everything you needed (except for a microwave), otherwise it was perfect! She even had a Christmas decoration on the door and a cute little tree as well.

Beautiful and tranquil property

My friend and I really enjoyed staying at this beautiful and peaceful property. It was quite clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed drinking my coffee in the quiet garden setting each morning. We would definitely stay there again if we return to this area. I appreciate it the host efforts to encourage recycling and resource management. I also enjoyed meeting our host family, including their dog.

Lovely Spot

We really enjoyed the suite. It was clean, modern and comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen. We appreciated the laundry after Beach days and the kids toys was an added bonus. Location is quiet and central if you plan to explore the Comox Valley and/or access to Buckley Bay.

Union Bay Stay

Enjoyed the location, small but interesting community with a strong west coast history. Convenient to a small, local market, the ferry terminal to Denman & Hornby Island. A 20 minute drive into Comox. The suite is on the lower level of the house thus the lighting isn't great, the main area and kitchen had subdued natural light from the windows during the day with poor lighting at night. The beds were comfortable, the bedrooms were roomy with adequate storage for clothing. It is a short walk to the ocean. There were 3 electric charging stations a 5 minute walk away from the house, this was very useful for our electric vehicle, we didn't expect to have these so close. Overall it was a comfortable stay. I loved the roses that lined the front walkway, the smell was wonderful!

We are passionate about travel, good wine, family and sports such as hiking, skiing and golf. We love to spend time out in our garden with our son Miles, Winston our dog and Izzy our cat, smelling the roses, harvesting the veg, fruit and herbs that we grow. We enjoy good coffee, so we're always on the hunt for the best baristas and coffee roasters in town.

We fell in love with the Comox Valley due to its beauty and access to a wide range of activities. We'd been looking for the right property and when we saw Hatton House in Union Bay we knew it was the right place for us. We bought the property early 2019 and moved over to the island from Vancouver in May 2019. We are thrilled to have Hatton House Guest Suite open and ready to share our excitement and learnings of the area with anyone that comes to stay.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The guest suite was newly constructed in 2011 when Hatton House was moved over from Dunbar, Vancouver to Union Bay by Nickel Brothers. The upstairs of the heritage home was originally built in 1915 and ample amounts of old world charm are still intact. The property is one block from the beach, ideal for paddle boarding, kayaking or boating. Behind the property is the old commuter, Victoria to Comox rail line which offers up kilometers of trails. The town of Cumberland, known as a mountain biking mecca is a short drive away, and the local breweries are a great way to quench your thirst after a ride.
For those that are looking for higher alpine, we do not disappoint. Mount Washington is located 40 minutes drive away and offers downhill skiing, cross country and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking and mountain bike trails in the summer. Strathcona Park is the oldest in Canada and the largest on Vancouver Island. Parking and access point just 40 minutes away, offering access to alpine lakes and meadows, wheelchair and stroller accessible trails and day-long, all terrain trails.
After a day of activities the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort and Spa is a 7 minute drive away. Visit the full service spa, drop in at a yoga class at the Starfish Studio or enjoy one of their bar/restaurant options.
If golf is your thing then plan your stay around the 6 golf courses in Comox Valley, all offering their own unique course design and views.
The Comox valley offers something for everyone and our suite is a great base to get out and explore or unwind and soak up island living at its finest.
