We love the location of the Puu Poa condominiums. Richard's unit is an exemplary example of a comfortably furnished and clean space in that complex. Beds are extremely comfortable as are living room, solarium, and lanai furniture. The kitchen is well stocked. We'd definitely consider staying there again if a return to Princeville is in the cards for us.
The condo was beautiful. Had a couple minor issues upon arrival that were resolved immediately. Communications with the owner and housekeeping were excellent. Kitchen was well stocked and organized. They have a glass water wall that is beautifully backlit at night. I would definitely stay here again.
We recently stayed at this condo hoping for a peaceful Hawaiian romantic getaway with a great view. Unfortunately, during our visit, there was a lot of ongoing maintenance with workers on-site most days. It led to quite a bit of noise and obstructed the view we were excited about. Iâd recommend checking with the host before booking to see if the work is finished. The unit is nice and adequately clean, but the place is dated and a bit tired and needs to be updated to bring the condo up to a much fresher and nice/modern place. Once refreshed, I think this place will shine again, but guests should be aware of current conditions. The location itself is great, but not on a beach; it sits on a cliff, which has amazing views of the ocean. There is no easy access to the beach.
I have stayed at Pua Poa 10 or 12 times. At one time , I lived just around the corner. Host was good. He fixed the door while I was there. The unit is tired! They lead you to believe it's been remodeled but it's really not. They added a few things that were haphazardly done.
Our stay was super. Listening to the surf and having the ocean right in front was tranquil. Owner was so accommodating as well. Totally recommending this property.
We spent four days at this property in early February and loved our time. We saw whales throughout the day while sitting on the lanai, the unit is spacious and clean, and the host was readily available. This was a great property and we would definitely stay again.
Fabulous vacation in gorgeous property with ocean view
The location is wonderful, with a direct ocean view and walking distance to 1 Hotel. The unit is swanky and well equipted and maintained. The owner is gracious and helpful.
Great location and view. Very roomy and comfortable for our family of 4. Appreciated the beach gear that was available for our use. Convenient parking.
Originally from Philadelphia. Lived in Hawaii since 1974. My wife Rosaline and I have been married for 30 years and going. We live in Honolulu. Puu Poa is our getaway second home. I was an entrepreneur owned multiple companies, with my wife who served as the Controller/CFO. Currently, I serve as a lobbyist for a national real estate property management company for Hawaii, besides being an instructor for real estate continued education for realtors, expert witness for lawsuits, and US subchapter 5 bankruptcy trustee. In 2022, I was appointed by the then Hawaii governor Ige to serve as one of the Real Estate Commissioners for the State of Hawaii, a 3-year term.
I fell in love with Puu Poa while vacationing on Kauai in 1980s. Eventually decided to acquire the unit in 1990. The place offers unobstructed breath taking ocean views in front of your eyes, the playground of marine mammals, sounds of crashing waves, lightning shows in the stormy night and meteor showers in the summer night.
Golf courses, Princeville Shopping Center, fine dining restaurants, Hideaway beach below the property, tennis/pickleball court, hiking to Na Pali Coast, visiting quaint Hanalei town, Kilauea Lighthouse and bird sanctuary, not mentioning surfing, canoeing and paddle boarding on Hanalei River. Horseback riding, helicopter ride, waterfalls.....
