We understand the pool’s appearance was disappointing, but we do want to clarify that it was not dirty or unmaintained. The discoloration is staining caused by the naturally high iron content in the local well water. Once you contacted us, our pool technician responded promptly to make sure the pool was balanced. While the drinking water inside the cabin passes through a filtration system, the outdoor water supply used for the pool does not which is what causes the discoloration. We also feel it is important to note that no concerns were reported regarding the cleanliness, condition, or functionality of anything else at the cabin. Given that the remainder of the property met expectations and the pool concern was promptly addressed, we believe a 1-star rating is overly critical representation of the overall stay.

We're so glad you enjoyed the cabin, its convenient one-level layout, and the communication with our team. We sincerely apologize that the pool heating issue impacted your family's vacation. Unfortunately, due to the seasonal operation of the pool heater, an equipment malfunction was not apparent until the system was activated. Once discovered, we worked to get the necessary repairs completed as quickly as possible. We understand how disappointing this was, especially when swimming was such an important part of your family's plans. While we know it couldn't replace the pool time you missed, we were happy to refund your pool heating fee and cover a family activity during your stay. We also appreciate you bringing the bed size concern to our attention. Although it was accurate in the description as a queen the bedroom list was inaccurate. This was clearly a typo and we have updated the listing accordingly. Thank you again for recognizing our team's efforts and for your kind words about the cabin.
