This gem is in the middle of the action. Walking distance from restaurants, shops, antiquing, wine tasting, nature walks and the beach. What a great place to maintain or get back that peaceful state of mind we are all searching for these days.

This charming house has all the amenities to make your get away a magical experience.

If you like to people watch or look at nature, the only thing you need to do is decide if you want to sit in the front of the house or the back of the house.

Great Location Cozy home

Tristan our host was a sweetheart she sent us so much helpful information. Very close to Hearts Castle we spent half a day at the castle. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We loved the rack of lambs at Indigo Moon, blueberry peach cobbler with ice cream. Weather was absolutely beautiful!!

Perfect location

It was great to just park in the driveway, and walk to all the cute cafes, restaurants, and shops that downtown Cambria has to offer. A short 15 minute drive to Hearst Castle, and an even shorter drive to the boardwalk made our wick getaway easy to pack in lots of walking and activities. The Yellow House is comfy and cozy.

Wonderful Weekend Away

My husband and I spent our 28th wedding anniversary in Cambria at the historic yellow house. I haven’t spent time in Cambria since the early 90s, so I was curious to see how it had changed. We found delicious food (Robin’s for brunch, Madeline’s downtown for apps & drinks/ linner) , and great shops and of course, the beautiful beaches. My only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer! I will definitely be back within the next year or so, and I will look to stay here again. The privacy, central location to everything, and historic charm are perfect for us. Thank you for a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Wonderful stay at Cambria

The property was right in the middle of downtown. The home was well stocked and the host left us wonderful treats. The bedrooms were so comfortable and very quiet at night. We could walk to shops, restaurants, and explore this great town. We also were very close to the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve where we hiked on the bluffs trail. The views were spectacular. Great stay in town

It was so nice to stay right downtown with so many shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. The home is very comfortable and is well stocked with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Cambria.

Great Stay in Cambria

My wife and I went to visit my brother in Cambria as we have many times in the past. This time, instead of staying at a place near his home, we stayed here closer to the far end of town. Except for some issues getting into the place (the batteries on the security system decided to fail), the home was outstanding. Very comfortable and perfectly located. The owner of the property was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Perfect location in the perfect coastal town

This was my second visit to Cambria. My previous visit was a stay at one of the small hotels along the beach. Staying at The Yellow House on Main was much preferred! Having the shops outside the door, along with great food options, was lovely. I did still walk to Moonstone Beach (got 10k steps in before 8:15 am)! The house was clean with great amenities, the host was communicative, and the policies clear and easy to follow. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect location

Clean, comfortable, welcoming! The Yellow House on Main is located in the middle of downtown Cambria, with easy access to a great coffee shop and restaurant directly across the street and many cute stores along both sides in both directions. Tristan is an excellent host who communicates well with you and works hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. April is such a pretty time to visit, cool weather, sunny skies, everything green. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location in town

Close to nearby shops and restaurants. The only issue was the steep driveway which was somewhat difficult due to rain and water running off the hill. A good place to start and come home to after a day of exploring. Great host. Well-equipped. Really enjoyed our stay.

This house was built in 1910, refurbished in 1988, and again in 2020. I call this my rehabilitating retreat. I have always had people living here, mostly family, but I have decided I love it too much not to be able to come to stay whenever I want. I spend half my time here and the other half in LA. Every time I come here, I leave refreshed and renewed. I am not sure if it is the ocean, the pine trees, the sunsets, or the house, but I suspect it is the perfect combination of all that makes this place so special.

I wanted to allow others to enjoy this little soul-refreshing Gem so I have decided to welcome others into my home in the hopes it can wash away some of your day-to-day grunge and replace it with a renewed energy

2020 was spent remodeling and feel I have been able to breathe life back into this old house. She responded well and is ready for new energy from those who visit.

This is a historic property and one of the original buildings in Cambria. The same builders who built this property also built the Hearst Castle. Because this house is commercially zoned, it is in the thick of shopping, restaurants, and wine tasting and is close to one of the best restaurants and coffee shop in town.

The view from the porch will remind you that "it IS the pines that make Cambria so special." The ocean is also just a short walk through the woods.

Lastly, if you have dogs, they love it here. Cambria is absolutely a dog-friendly town
