"Glamping in the Vines" - Vineyard Airstream Trailer

Airstream camping adventure in the vines! Experience a Boho vibe in our newly restored Airstream trailer located on our estate vineyard. Tucked amid sycamores and oaks, the Airstream offers vineyard views for two. Grab a bottle of wine, relax on the deck and snuggle around your cozy fire pit. Nighttime visitors include coyotes, bobcat and deer. If you are lucky, our local coyotes will serenade you! This is a glamping experience - the trailer is outfitted with a small kitchen, pantry full of utensils, fridge, AC, heater and shower, with restrooms proximate in our main building.

Unique Experience

Overall nice experience. Issue with check in no key available when we arrived but not a show stopper. Could ask for a little more privacy. It's near a wine tasting room so surrounded by cars until about 10pm. Loved the mornings, the nights were entertaining with owls and coyotes. Saw 2 coyotes in the morning, and a large friendly piggy walking around the grounds. Overall pleasant experience if you want to do something unique.

Amazing Location to unplug and Relax

Caleb is amazing, airstream is fantastic, wine is delish. Watching the sunset with a good glass of wine was wonderful. The stars at night felt like you could touch them. The sounds of frogs, crickets, owls was peaceful. I will be coming back and I joined the Wine Club. Loved it. Highly recommend.

Need to get away? This airstream is THE PLACE!!!

What more can I say about the phenomenal hospitality of the Domaine Artefact family!? I was adventuring solo for the first time, which can be daunting for any newcomer to the solo-travel-scene. Gracious, thoughtful, and FUN are all ways to describe the hosts of this property. Caleb was so welcoming and took care of all my wine-tasting needs. Carol is the sweetest woman who will make sure you feel at home. Mark can be found sweeping through the vineyard in his rubber boots, making the most unique, delicious wine in San Diego. And lastly, Lynn will show you what it truly means to be the 'Hostess with the Mostest.' Lynn flutters about, guaranteeing that everyone is comfortable and having a GOOD time. She is a gem! Neighbors come from around the area on weekends to listen to live music in the outdoor tasting room. Everyone I met was more than willing to bend my ear and tell me more about what this community has to offer. It really is a family! When the winery is not open, you can spend your days exploring the expansive property. There are horses, chickens, pigs, and not to mention the rows & rows of grapes! What more could you want? If you are looking to travel off of the property (I went and had dinner at the Rancho Bernardo Inn), calling a Lyft or Uber took about 10 minutes. As far as the airstream goes - it was my first time staying in such accommodations, and I will say that it did not disappoint! The trailer stayed fresh and cool despite the 95 degree weather. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and adorably outfitted. I also didn't realize that there would be a working shower/sink/toilet....there is!! Every night ended with a cozy fire on the outside deck listening to the surrounding wildlife. If you are thinking about staying here - do it! Many wonderful memories to be made in Escondido.

Weekend Review!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for the weekend and it was such an awesome experience! Everything about the airstream trailer, property, views, and hospitality were wonderful. Such a great staycation spot!

We purchased our 30 acre property to develop our estate vineyard and winery. Along came horses, chickens, a pig and four wine dogs. Domaine Artefact is a working winery, producing over 2,500 cases of award winning wines in the Rhone-style. Voted 2021 "Best local winery" by San Diegans - also ranked as an Open Table "top 10" destination winery.

If you are looking for something unique and not too far afield, here's an opportunity to experience a night or two at the vineyard. Listen to birds, and hear the call of the wild coyotes from your front porch! You might even see deer, or bobcat at the pond early in the morning.
