L'appartement spacieux de 750 pieds carrĂ©s est attachĂ© Ă  la maison du propriĂ©taire, une villa d'architecture mĂ©diterranĂ©enne. La suite est entiĂšrement privĂ©e, WiFi gratuit et cĂąble. EntrĂ©e privĂ©e, parking. Une BR 1 BA avec lit queen et couchette pouf dĂ©pliable. Immense salle de bain et de divertissement avec un canapĂ© spacieux, 2 fauteuils et une grande tĂ©lĂ©vision Ă  Ă©cran plat. What a great place to come and unwind. Julia and Robert were amazing hosts. The villa is so nice and comfortable with plenty of room for my wife and I. Huge spacious bathroom. We enjoyed our time here. Even got out and went for a walk in the neighborhood.

Our four night stay was a wonderful experience, especially since the weather was sunny and warm so we could use the pool every afternoon! We used each morning to go out to breakfast at any number of wonderful local restaurants in the area, and then either go to the beach or go to Julian, etc. Escondido is a wonderful hub, with much to do in the area, including visits to wineries, casinos, or just go for a wonderful drive out into the country.The owners/hosts were very accommodating and we would love to come back someday!

Beautiful place to stay for a few days while I was working all over San Diego area. Pool is gorgeous, as is the very nicely decorated suite. Amazing 3 room well designed bathroom, with great walk in shower and separate bathtub area. Hosts make the stay very easy, with good kitchen amenities and open space living room and bed. It all fits! Wish I was able to enjoy sitting out by the pool longer but was too busy working. Great stay!

Lovely accommodations

What a beautiful getaway Villa Escondido is! Quiet yet centrally located, it was close to everything we needed. This was our 2nd stay and we look forward to a 3rd at some point.

Five Star Villa

A peaceful and stunning oasis to rest and refresh one’s mind and body. We enjoyed lounging around the pool in the evening after the day’s activities. Location was perfect for visiting the SD Zoo Safari Park, family events in Valley Center, hiking trails, concert at the local Arts Center, and dining at the unique restaurants in downtown Escondido. We look forward to our next visit to The Villa.

Excellent all around

The location is beautiful. The facility is beautiful. It was a perfect weekend getaway., and it is a great place to use as a home base when exploring Southern California. If we didn't have 1000 things planned to do in S Cal, I'd be just as content to sit poolside all weekend and enjoy the peace this place has to offer.

Staycation

Stayed here with my best friend who came in from out of town for my daughter’s wedding. It was a nice clear spot to get away from the madness of the wedding prep at my house. Didn’t have much time to enjoy the property and pool but it was a nice little spot and very stress free.

Luxurious Hacienda Villa

Quiet, clean, private, many extra amenities. Julia outdid our wildest expectations with providing many extra items that we found useful and functional like an umbrella for the beach, towels for the beach, Kureig coffee, unlimited tv stations that spoiled us to no end. With plenty of space, use of a laptop and printer (even though we didn’t use), large DVD selection, we were very happy and content. We would like to book again next time in Escondido. And yes this pool is extravagant and accentuates the Southern California style.

Robert and I both grew up back East but have been in S. California since the early 1970's. I retired after 30 years of teaching and have a love of languages, reading, yoga and hiking. We both enjoy travel, meeting people, wine, cooking, entertaining, and riding bikes.

We fell in love with the beauty of this unique property the moment we set eyes on it. When you drive up the extensive driveway you are greeted by a majestically massive 150 year old Australian Morton "s Bay Fig Tree. The original portion of this property was built in the 1930's as a typical S. California working ranch. We both love history and historical sites and are very proud of the fact that the grandson of President Ulysses S. Grant, Chapman Grant, lived at and owned this site in the 1960's! We are thrilled to be able to share with our guests this piece of American history while enjoying the architectural beauty of a Mediterranean Villa.
