Situé à South Bowers Beach Island directement sur la plage et situé au point le plus large de la baie du Delaware, à environ 45 km de NJ, cette maison de l'ßle offre quelque chose de trÚs spécial que les grandes stations n'ont pas, la paix et la tranquillité.

Montez Ă  droite sur le sable de cette belle maison de plage. Si la pĂȘche est votre truc, jetez votre ligne dans l'eau et le poisson frais est Ă  vous pour le petit dĂ©jeuner ou le dĂźner, permis de pĂȘche requis.

Vous pouvez mettre votre petit bateau ou kayak dans l'eau juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© de la plage et explorer les affluents locaux oĂč vous trouverez non seulement la sĂ©rĂ©nitĂ© d'un paysage sauvage, mais aussi de nombreuses espĂšces de poissons et de crabes. Les enfants peuvent faire du vĂ©lo sur la route tranquille de l'Ăźle, faire du patin Ă  roues alignĂ©es ou jouer sur la plage, ramasser des coquillages et du verre de mer et ĂȘtre surpris par le site des crabes fer Ă  cheval prĂ©historiques qui migrent vers cette rĂ©gion d'AmĂ©rique du Sud.

Laissez le soleil se lever sur la baie et le bruit des oiseaux marins vous réveille le matin et le doux bruissement de la baie clapotant sur la plage vous endormit. Profitez de la «vie tranquille», venez à South Bowers Island ...

La route est sujette aux inondations de marée. Il existe une application disponible pour les téléphones mobiles appelée Tides Near Me (c'est gratuit). Great, quiet get away

Iguana House is a wonderful place to get away from it all with all the ammenities and loads of space to spread out. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.

Bowers beach getaway

I cannot say enough great things about our stay and the hosts! The house was clean and provided a lot of things you’d need for your stay. Patrick and Margo were quick to respond. The beach proximity was our favorite as we had little ones so packing up and taking things to the beach was so easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Great beach getaway

This property was everything that we could ask for. Extremely clean, plenty of space for a large family, and great ocean views. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with this property and it’s owners. If you are questioning if this is your place for a awesome vacation, look no further.

Home away from home

This was our second year here and we couldn't be more happy! We enjoyed the sand on the beach and Margo was very quick to answer any question we may have had. We went to JP's again and it doesn't disappoint. All had a great week, we hope to be back next year! Kathy

A true hidden gem!

This property is beautiful, private, clean, the house is stocked with everything you will need. Outstanding views from the house! My husband and I were actually married there, Memorial Day weekend and we basically had the entire beach to ourselves, which amazed me considering the holiday! If you want privacy and tranquility this is a lovely place to stay! We can not wait to return! Ps. The owner Bob was so easy goingđŸ‘đŸ»

Wonderful getaway!

We always enjoy our stays in South Bowers. This was our first time at the Iguana House and it did not disappoint. The house was clean, modern, and well appointed. The house was also more spacious than expected. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals (but bring your own pantry staples). Beds were comfortable. Nearby towns have everything you need, but are 20-30 minutes drive. So plan ahead if you don’t want to spend your time running errands. Overall a great experience and I would recommend the Iguana House!

Our 2023 yearly vacation

Everything was perfect. The house was clean well equiped with dishes and cookware. Shopping for groceries was with in a short distance of the house. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We rescued a couple of Horseshoe crabs by turining them right side up so they could get back in the water. The week went way to fast and it was sad to have to leave. We wouldn't hesitate to spend another vacation at your rental. Thanks for a wonderful vacation My 3 girls and Me we

Amazing!

If you are looking for the most relaxing vacation ever!- look no further. The Iguana House sits in a quiet little town with super helpful and friendly neighbors. After having a small emergency several of the neighbors stopped to help. The house itself is very spacious and clean. We loved having to decks to sit out on. Plenty of books and games to occupy us on a rainy day. We collected a ton of sea glass(my fav) and really cool shells. Thanks Cindy and Bob! Cant wait to come back again.

Better than Home!

We've had the pleasure of staying at South Bowers 5 times. It's becoming our home away from home. The home is beautifully appointed, clean and airy. The elevated tub in the master bath is to die for. Open the window and you can hear the water lapping at the shore. My grown kids loved the open floor plan and 2 decks. We went to the outlets in Rehobeth, mimi golf and you just cant miss Grotto's Pizza. The restaurant on Route 1 where you turn has fabulous seafood. Take out or just get fresh fish from their seafood case. We can't wait for trip #6.

A great place to relax.

We had an amazing time -- we truly have not felt this relaxed in quite a long time. The house is beautiful -- and there are stunning views of the marsh and the bay every where you look. Our two young children had fun playing on both expansive decks (there is one in the front of the house and one in the back), combing the beach for treasures, including sea glass and shells, and watching the wildlife (birds, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, and snails). We took a couple of day trips to Lewes and Rehobeth. And the guys golfed at the Rookery and took a tour of Dogfish Head Brewery in Milford. We were all sad to leave and we can't wait to come back. Book this house today--you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful location for peace & quiet

Our family just returned from our fantastic vacation! The house has everything you will need - and when we noticed the blender was broken, the owner sent over a new one for us right away:0) My two children enjoyed playing in the sand and water, searching for shells and watching the giant horseshoe crabs along the shore. And my husband and I coiuld keep an eye on them from the deck - the beach is literally right outside your door! It was so nice to be able to sit on the deck at sunset and watch the tide come in. The view is beautiful! The house is close enough to nearby Rehoboth if you are in need of some entertainment for the kids and close to restaurants in Milford, too. We had a fabulous week, got plenty of R & R and look forward to another visit next summer!

Relaxation off the beaten path

This was a fantastic find for our family. We were looking for a beach vacation in the Delaware area but also did not want to fight the crowds. This was the perfect solution for us. The view off of the back deck was amazing. There are only a handful of other homes along this particular stretch of beach so there were no crowds at all. This made walking the beach very pleasant which we did every day. The house is clean and as advertised (actually the inside is even nicer and roomier than the pictures!) Patrick was very easy to work with and very quick to respond to a couple of questions we had during the week. There are a couple of good seafood restaurants nearby that we ate at; enjoying steamed crabs from Medings and a number of nice dishes from JP's on the Warf. I would not hesitate staying here again.

Wow! Rent this house!

I really had no idea what to expect as we've never rented a vacation home before. We had a wonderful week we had at this house. I am a neatnik and was so pleasantly surprised at how impeccably clean and well -maintained the house was. So serene and quiet, if you are looking to relax then this is the place to go. We enjoyed swimming at high tide, a bonfire at the beach, and looking for snails and hermit crabs at low tide. The only downside was the flies-not the owner's fault, that's just the way it is by the bay sometimes, so be sure to bring some bug repellent. The kitchen is stocked with any and every appliance and gadget you could ever need-in fact there are so many that there isn't much cabinet space for non-perishables. With a bunch of teenagers the food didn't last long though! Also, be sure to bring your electronic devices-we couldn't get a cell phone signal so had to rely on wifi to contact the outside world. A wonderful getway-I'd rent from Bob & Cindy again in heartbeat.

What at gem!

This house is amazing and South Bowers is a real gem! The pictures do not do this house justice as it is absolutely beautiful. We had dinner every night on the porch overlooking the beautiful views - we spent hours on the beach swimming with the kids and viewing the wildlife - turtles, skates, and even dolphins! At lowtide we could walk out and find great conch shells and other beauties the bay has to offer. The kids rode their bikes under the house while I cooked dinner and each night we walked up the street and didn't have to worry about any traffic. This was a real freedom for them! We had the beach to ourselves most days and on the days we shared it with our neighbors, we were greeted by the friendliest people! The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possible need and there are plenty of games for family fun. This is the perfect house for a family looking to spend quality time together. The owner was excellent to deal with and was very patient answering my long list of questions when I initionally inquired about the house. I cannot wait to go back to this peaceful place!

An absolutely perfect week

This was our second time staying at the Iguana House, and it was even lovelier than the first. Of the various beach houses we've stayed at in the Delaware Bay over the past five years, the Iguana House is without a doubt the nicest. It's comfortable, up-to-date, beautiful, and well-stocked. SO nice having all the beach gear there and not having to lug it from home. The other thing we love so much about this house is the natural beauty and tranquility of the beach. There were days when we truly did not see anyone else on the beach, all day. Those neighbors we did see were so kind and welcoming! We also were fortunate to see a pufferfish who washed up on sand (we rescued him in a bucket and put him back in the ocean), a baby diamondback terrapin who hatched right behind our beach camp, and a beautiful shark that a neighbor on the beach caught and released. Not to mention the loads of sea glass and whelk shells we collected every day! This week was truly so restorative and full of simple joy. Thank you so much for hosting that, Margo and Patrick!
