Scenic views across the street from Lake Winnipesaukee in a great location (on a side street, "Scenic Drive"). The house is clean, open, and has lots of natural light. The house has new furnishings, appliances, flooring, mattresses, furniture, and kitchen amenities. Comfortable, spacious layout consisting of a large living/dining room, galley kitchen, 3 bedrooms, large foyer, and both an interior and exterior porch. There are waterviews and mountain views from the outdoor patio, living room, master bedroom, and porch. Sleeps 7 total. Bedroom 1 (sleeps 3) consists of three twin beds (one is a trundle bed). Bedroom 2 (sleeps 2) consists of a queen bed. Bedroom 3 (sleeps 2) consists of a king bed and master bath. The house has two full bathrooms. The outdoor patio is a great place to relax with a fireplace, Weber grill, picnic table and view of the lake.

Location: Scenic Drive is a great side street to take a stroll. Nearby you have boating, swimming, sailing, hiking, skiing, sightseeing and shopping. Gunstock is ~10 minutes away, and Ellacoya State Park & Beach is a short walk/drive. Restaurants, marinas, boat ramp, and shops all nearby.

Beach/Water Access: There is no beach access directly across the street. Ellacoya State Park is a great beach option and is a short walk/drive down the street (0.3 miles). For boating, there are several marinas and ramps nearby.

Common questions: The rental includes linens, bath towels, beach towels, kitchen accessories, standard coffee maker, Nespresso machine, Fast WiFi, air conditioning, Weber gas grill, and firewood for the outdoor fireplace. Easy check-in, check-out!

Very nice property, close to by far the nicest public beach on all of Lake Winnipesaukee. Beautiful views of the lake. On a very quiet street with many pedestrians/cyclists which was nice to walk down. Host was an excellent communicator and brought extra toys and a wagon to the house when I told him we had small kids. House is technically part of a duplex but very much feels like an entire house and has a separate entrance.

Wonderful Place

We absolutely loved our stay at this house! It was perfect accommodations for our needs. Spacious, clean, well stocked are only a few of the great things about it! Jake was easy to get a hold of and was even so proactive he called the day before to check in with us and make sure we didn’t have questions before our trip. Will definitely be staying here again!

Highly recommend this beautiful rental!

We had a wonderful vacation stay at this beautiful home! The location was so convenient and the home was so clean, well-kept, and comfortable. In addition to being so close to Ellacoya State Park and beach, we also enjoyed a concert at the nearby Banknorth Pavillion. Another plus was the proximity to Fay’s Boat Yard where we kept our boat for the week. The lake and this home did not disappoint. The owner is also wonderful and very attentive!

Great property!

Our family had a relaxing time at Lake Winni! This property was perfect! Beautiful views of the lake, quite, clean and plenty of space. We had everything we needed to prepare family meals. The outside fireplace was one of our favorite things and firewood was provided. Easy walk to nearby beach. Lake Winni has great areas to hike, including Mt. Major nearby. Easily made day trips to Salem, Mt. Washington and Castle in the clouds (nice waterfall hike here). We would love to come back.

Amazing place!

Loved this space. There was plenty of room for the 6 adults and 1 child. We never felt like we were on top of eachother. It was very clean when we arrived. Jacob, the host, was extremely responsive with anything we needed and also checked in a few times to see if we needed anything. The 1BR rental mentioned appeared to be rented to a long term renter who was every respectful. I will definitely be saving this location to keep in mind for next year's anaul trip!

Jake (the owner) did a fantastic job with making this house feel like you are staying at a friends house rather than just some normal rental property. Coffee was stocked up and ready in the pot for you in the AM, fire wood ready to be burnt in the outside fireplace and a full games cabinet stocked in the closet. The views from the house of the lake were stunning. I highly recommend renting to anyone interested. The owner made it a point of checking up on us prior to our trip and during our trip just to make sure we were doing alright or if we had any questions. Lots of fun things to do in the area as well as the house being in a nice little quiet community. I will definitely be renting this place again in the future.

This is a spacious and welcoming home. It was great for our mini reunion of siblings and spouses. Big open living area for all of us to hang out together and nice bedrooms so we each had privacy. It's a short walk to the state park beach so that's super convenient too.

Vacation

Great house. We had 4 adults and there was plenty of space. The property was clean and the location was excellent. Neighborhood is very quite and we enjoyed daily walks on the road without worrying about traffic. Within driving distance to everything Lake Winnepesaukee. Walking distance to state park/beach. We had an issue when we tripped a circuit breaker while using the microwave and nespresso machine at the same time but Jake was very responsive and it was quickly resolved. Highly recommend this place.

It worked for us.

Our eldest son and family have a small vacation home and boat about a mile away, so we were not looking for direct access to the lake when looking for a place to share with our London-based youngest son and his family of five. This property, with it.s stunning mountain and lake views, and every conceivable modern convenience was just what we required. The owner/manager, Jake,, was easy to contact, and quickly resolved any queries we had. We would highly recommend the very comfortable property to anyone not requiring direct lake access.

I Really Did Feel Like a Local (and Wasn't Hassled Either!)

Notwithstanding living in the NE for almost 20 years, this was actually our family's first trip to New Hampshire and to Lake Winnipesaukee. We see why Jake is a Premier Host and this property lived up, and even exceeded, its billing. The house was clean, well maintained, well supplied and had beautiful views of the lake. Jake was very accommodating and responded immediately to any inquiries. We look forward to staying again next Summer - if not sooner. p.s. For anyone reading this if you didn't get the title of this review, you should watch "What About Bob". While filmed in Virginia it is supposed to take place at Lake W. and is a classic!

Fantastic house with beautiful views

What a lovely place! Rooms are spacious with quality furnishings and plenty of closet and drawer space in every bedroom. Ample bathroom space. The kitchen, living, and dining areas are all open concept with fantastic views of the lake from the abundance of windows. Particularly liked that whoever was on kitchen duty was able to interact with others due to the open concept. The patio was the place to be and although we didn't use it, there is an outdoor fireplace that would be awesome on a cool night. The FAQ sheet provided by the host was super helpful and for anything else, the host was just a text away. We would definitely rent this great place again!

Great stay in New Hampshire!

We were 5 adults, traveling to a family event. Jake's house in Gilford was perfect for us. There was loads of room to spread out, super clean, fully equipped with kitchen items, bedding, and thoughful touches throughout. The beds were very comfortable. Showers had good pressure. We very much appreciated the fans in the rooms. The view of the lake is lovely, and the road right out front was perfect for long walks. Jake was easily available when we needed to communicate. Great host. Super house. We could not have been more pleased, and we hope to return someday before too long!

Beautiful home and view

The view of the lake across the street while enjoying your morning coffee is gorgeous! We enjoyed a short walk to and swimming and relaxing at Ellacoya State Park several days. Jake was wonderful to deal with, checked in frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here!

Outstanding home for a lake vacation

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Jake's home. The house is a duplex and we occupied a better half of it. We were very surprized to find that the house meets all our needs. It.is perfectly stocked unlike most of houses we rented before: all necessary kitchen appliances, even a Nesprrsso coffee machine with a dozen of various coffee capaules, a new mixer, tons of utensils. Jake supplied 10 beach towels and plenty of bath ones. The living area is huge and faces the lake. There is also lake view from master bedroom, which had an excellent (feels like new) king mattress. The Ellacoya beach is 10 min nice walk and Scenic Drive is an excellent waterview stroll. Jake was very easy to reach for any questions we had and was always very helpful. We enjoyed clear check-in and check out instructions as well as very clear posted messages around the house. We would definitely come back when we decided to have another vacation on the lake! Thank you!

Was great to have you and your family as guests! Yes, the property is across the street from Lake Winni, and does not have direct water access. Ellacoya beach is a short walk/drive (0.3 miles; side road) and is a great beach option nearby.
