If the roar from the ocean waves is calling you, access to the sandy beach and fun in the sun is just a few minute walk from your doorstep. This home is gorgeous and pet friendly! The four-bedroom, three bath home is located on the West side of Oak Island nestled perfectly between the serene marsh and the ocean shore. If you are seeking an opportunity to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views from the front or the back deck, this is your chance!

This home is extremely well appointed and thoughtfully decorated. The large, fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is completely stocked. It features beautiful granite counters, a custom backsplash, and an oversized table with seating for ten. The open floor plan flows into the family room complete with a large flat-screen smart TV and crystal-clear sound bar for you to enjoy your favorite music or show as you cook up your latest catch of the day. The home is equipped with a plethora of windows providing all the natural light you would want to boost a great vacation vibe!

New Horizons has two King master suites- one on the second floor with amazing marsh views and the other on the first floor facing the ocean. Downstairs you will find two more large bedrooms connected to a Jack and Jill bathroom.

After a long day at the beach rinse off in the spacious hot/cold outdoor shower, play a game of cornhole in the back yard, or grill your evening dinner delight.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more! The choice is yours! As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 night minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Oak Island Beach House

Beautiful home in great location

New Horizons is a beautiful home! It was beautifully decorated, clean, and well equipped. The location was excellent. It was a quick walk to the beach and the home had views of both the inlet and the ocean. We look forward to staying at New Horizons again soon.

Great home!!

I recently stayed as a vacation/work trip. Spring break and a trial. Plenty of space to work and play. Would have liked to know that the beach would be worked on while we were there.

Great Beach House

I my husband and I with our two dogs greatly enjoyed our stay for the first time on oak island. It was a peaceful get away with gorgeous marsh views and an easy walk to the beach. We had the choice between two master bedrooms with king beds. The kitchen was well appointed, and communication was by far the best of any place. We’ve stayed through VRBO.

Absolutely lovely home!

The host is incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. The home is just as you see in the pictures but better in person. Very clean, open, comfortable, easy access to beach. Our mini family vaca was just a few days but we felt so at home it was the best stay we’ve had in a long time! Oak Island is now our summer vacation home, they are pet friendly and allow you to take your furry friend on the beach all day (with leash). It was a doggie paradise for our pup with so many doggies on the beach for them to play! Our family did not want to leave and we will definitely be back next year!

Perfect beach house

This house was amazing. Tall enough for our truck and boat with a T-top to fit underneath with plenty of parking for other vehicles. Very neat and uncluttered home. Short walk to the beach. Large rooms and plenty of dresser space to unpack your clothes. The kitchen pantry was empty so it held all of our groceries. This was very nice as we didn’t have to leave everything on the counter. The front porch has good views of the ocean and the back sound view was so relaxing. We will definitely try to rent again.

Bare Feet Vacay w/Bare Minimums

The property itself is very nice and the location is good, being just a short walk to the beach. Beds very comfortable and everything relatively clean - they could have done a better job cleaning windows which were all pretty dirty. But, this place has absolutely no ‘extras’ to make your week (or more) feel like anything more than a hotel stay. No more than a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, absolutely bare kitchen - not even salt/pepper, and no cleaning supplies or garbage bags. Left us with one dishwasher pod and that was about it. We spent a week with no hot water in the kitchen (they couldn’t fix) and for the amount of money you pay I thought it was pretty bare bones and I’d not rent here again.

Jimmy, I am so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy New Horizons. We let all of our guest know that we provide a starter kit. To get you started, we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bag, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pod, washing machine pod, dishwashing soap, hand soap at every sink, bath soap, and shampoo/conditioner. Our homes are not supplied with these items for the week. Like all vacation rental homes on the island. We just want to make sure that you have things to use until you get to the store. I am deeply sorry about the hot water issue you experienced. I was under the impression with my maintenance staff this was resolved for you. I will investigate this further. We only want you to have the best vacation possible. Thank you so much for making me aware that the hot water issue.

The property was gorgeous! The decor was beautiful and the home felt very clean. The beds were comfy and felt clean... My only suggestion would be to have some of the basics available, including coffee filters (the most important item of the day!)

Everything was as described. Checkin was easy, keyless entry, linen provided, kitchen supplied with dinnerware, silverware, glasses & coffee cups along with cook wear. House is beautiful, clean and great views
