ENJOY all the comforts of home while staying close to the lake! Plenty of seating to dine and for board games. WIFI available along with 3 ROKU TV's. Bedding for 8. Full kitchen. Washer and dryer with a full sized refrigerator, and A/C and heat. Covered, screened porches for days!! 3/4 mile from the lake and easy access Shirley Creek Marina at the North end of the lake. Very peaceful place where you can enjoy the birds, squirrels, fishing, deer and fenced yard.

Great spot, very relaxing!!!

Greg and Kelly were great, the cabin was awesome too. Very relaxing, we loved the screened in porches and it’s very close to the lake. We will definitely be staying with them again in the future.

Great Place near the Lake

Very clean and homey feeling. It was in a quiet neighborhood with wildlife and just a short distance to the lake. Had everything you would need to stay in and enjoy hanging with your family or head out and go fishing.

Awesome weekend getaway

Our stay was great just minutes from the boat ramp and not far from lufkin. We spent the weekend and fished Sam Rayburn the camp was great nice fenced in back yard with a huge screened in patio and a second patio overlooking the woods. We also seen a few deer roaming the neighborhood. I highly recommend and would stay again

Great Getaway!!!

Property was great and perfect for a getaway! It was clean and the owners were awesome! They thought of everything and even left us goodies in the fridge since it was our anniversary! Very quick to respond and everything is ready to go when you get there! We will definitely be back!👍😁

Fishing on Sam Rayburn

Very nice place like being at home. Excellent amenities small covered area to park a boat or car. Located about a half a mile away from the boat ramp. Property owners super nice, overall great stay would recommend it.

Place to relax

We went for some time to relax. Home very accommodating for relaxation very comfortable. Perfect place for our furgirls to relax with us. Away from the hustle and bustle. We would love to return when we need to recharge. Kelly was very friendly and accommodating.

Fishing Trip

House was clean and comfortable. Very convenient to the boat launch and sufficient parking for our truck and boat. Enjoyed the outdoor space and our dog enjoyed seeing the horses next door from the big yard. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed our relaxing fishing trip.

Just what we needed!

There’s not many properties that allow pets, have a large fenced yard, multiple screened porches, thoughtful decor, comfy beds, nice shower, stocked fridge, and 3 minutes from a lake. Oh, and the host was extremely friendly, accommodating and funny. It was the perfect fit, and we will be back!!! Thank you Kelly and Greg!

Sam Rayburn stay

We went over to fish the McDonald tournament and were looking for a place on the North end of the Lake. found a couple places to rent but after looking at reviews felt like this cabin would suit our needs. The house was as described, probably a little over a mile to the Shirley Creek Marina which is just a handful of boat ramps accessible due to low water. The house was very clean and had any necessity's that was needed. The wifi was great allowing access with computer. I've stayed at several rentals and this VRBO was in my opinion 10/10 and will defiantly book again. Miss Kelly and Mr Greg were easy to get a hold of and quick with any question or request we had.

Shirley Creek

The house was very nice and ckean with plebty of room and had all the accessories and things we needed for our stay. Check in process was easy. The only issues we had were unleashed neighbors dogs and their barking at our dogs House was a bit farther from the lake access than i thoufht it would be but we stayed over Memorial Day Weekend and the access was extremely crowded. Overall the property was nice and quiet as long as the neighbors dogs werent barking. We would definitely book this property again if we decide to visit Big Sam in the future.

Can’t wait to stay here again!

If you’re looking for a place with all the amenities of home and a quiet relaxing atmosphere where you can take in the nature around you, look no further. The Shirley Creek Lake House is the place!! This is no empty shell vacation rental. All you need to bring is food to cook (unless you prefer to eat out), your clothes and personal hygiene items. I normally need a vacation after my vacation because I don’t usually sleep well in a strange place and from the amount of unpacking and laundry I have to do when I return home but that was not the case this time. Kelly and Greg offer a place to relax, unwind and renew while reconnecting with nature, family and/or friends. Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life at Shirley Creek Lake House. You won’t regret it. Read on for a list of things I felt I needed to mention to complete this review. 1) More like a home than a rental property, 2) The hospitality Kelly and Greg extend through accommodations and communication surpass all expectations, 3) Everything is clean, 4) Even the smallest of details are attended to, 5) Completely stocked with everything you could possibly ask for, 6) Unbelievably comfortable beds with plenty of options for pillows, 7) Full size electric stove w/oven, microwave, refrigerator, washer, and dryer, 8) Cleaning supplies, kitchenwares, and towels, 9) WiFi with boosters, 10) Roku TV, 11) Significant amount of water pressure for washing dishes, showers, and doing laundry, 12) plentiful supply of hot water, 13) Tub/Shower with removable handheld shower head with multiple settings and long hose, 14) Keurig Machine with Pods for Caffeinated or Decaf coffee and pod to use your own coffee grinds and condiments, 15) Plenty of hanging space for clothes in laundry room, 16) 3 stand fans, 17) Popcorn machine with popcorn and condiments, 18) DVD Player with selection of DVD’s, 19) Games for adults and children, 20) Toys and books for children, 21) plenty of screened in porch areas to enjoy Just make sure the first thing you do when you get inside is plug in and log into the complimentary WiFi. Cellular signal at this property is nonexistent but this is not a problem since you can communicate using WiFi for I messaging and other forms of WiFi calling/communication/Apps. Social Messaging Apps are probably the preferred method of communication for anyone that can’t unplug anyway. So it’s really not a problem. I was able to communicate through Snap Chat with no problem.

Great Home

We had an absolutely great time. The house was beautiful. We did spend a considerable amount of time on the water; however, the beds were a lot more comfortable than a boat seat to nap on. Will recommend it to other relatives and friends if anyone is looking. Thanks
