In the woods at Talkeetna Airport is a sweet location in East Talkeetna.
Walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and Talkeetna River.
River trails are accessible on foot or rent a bike in East Talkeetna.
Aviator cabin is a two story place built in 2019. Upstairs has amazing views of the woods.
Relax be the fireplace inside or campfire outside. Enjoy a swing in the hammock while watching birds.

Talkeetna is a great town in an ideal location as base camp to explore Alaska. There are plenty of things to do in the area as well. This property is relatively new and suited our family of 5 well. We also enjoyed the fire pit one evening after our excursions. Thankfully we didn’t spend much time indoors but if we had to, we would have been right at home here.

Very clean and comfortable stay. It was tight with five people and luggage but we knew that going in and it was fine for a one-night stay. One pull-out couch was ok, the other quite uncomfortable. For those looking for a longer stay, the cabin would be perfect for a couple or small family. Dowtown Talkeetna was less than a 5 minute drive but also walkable. The immediate neighborhood had some run-down properties but didn’t feel unsafe. Communication with the hosts was very good.

Great cabin!

Very clean and comfortable for our one night stay. Loved the proximity to Talkeetna. Enjoyed the host‘s recommendation for pizza at Mountain High Pizza Pie!

Amazing cabin in a great location

This cabin is beautiful, clean and more spacious than a hotel suite. The location is perfect for a fly-over and glacier landing tour. And for a quiet evening after a long day of adventures. It’s a very short drive to ‘downtown’ Talkeetna (very walkable if you like to walk). The hosts sent GREAT recommendations ahead of our stay, including a detour which proved to be a magnificent addition to our trip.

The Aviator cabin was clean, nicely decorated, welcoming, and larger than expected. Having the extra half bathroom on the second level was great for our family of 5. Good communication from Lyn and suggestions for before our arrival and during our stay. Easy access to downtown and would recommend to others.

Beautiful Cabin

Very comfortable - beautiful finishes inside with lots of options for sleep. Blackout shades were ideal for a summer visit to help us get sleep. The outdoor fire area and seating were also great - my boys loved making a camp fire. Thank you

Loved it!

My family of four stayed here for a few days. The kitchen was very well supplied, drip and kuerig coffee pots, about all the kitchen items you’d need. Main bed was very comfortable, there is a pull out in the bedroom (fairly comfortable) and the kitchen/living area. It’s actually more spacious than the photos make it seem and just really a lovely place to stay. The walk to Talkeetna is pleasant and great access to Denali and the State Park as well. Would definitely return!

The Vrbo app has a small glitch or something we never received the security door code. However communication with the host was very smooth and easy. Definitely would come back in the future.

This property is beautiful, accessible and clean. It was a great choice for our family. The most memorable part, however, was the caring host. I became critically ill with COVID during our stay, and the host allowed us to check out late and also helped with the cleaning in order for my husband to be able to get to me in the ICU. She was such a great support during this crisis away from home. There are no words for how much we appreciated her.

Tourist trip to Talkeetne

Nice modern cabin near the airport in Talkeetna. Cabin is very attractive and new. We took a Denali flight seeing trip that was rescheduled several times due the the weather and when we had a good window we walked down and flew. Cabin was good for our group of 5 family members- grandmom downstairs and parents and kids upstairs. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful wooded setting in Talkeetna

Everything was exactly as we expected from the information on the listing. This home is within walking distance from the shops and restaurants of Talkeetna, but in a quiet and somewhat secluded part of town. It is close to the airport so you can hear and see the planes, but not enough to be disruptive. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped.

A Nice Visit to Talkeetna

Clean. Good location, about 1 mile to town. Easy drive and walk. Looks relatively newly upgraded. Nice layout among the cabins with fire pit. Has one regular bed (comfortable) and sofa beds (as comfortable as one would expect). Keurig with pods provided. The shower stall is a bit small, but certainly functional - ensure shower curtain is completely closed to keep water from spraying out. Aviator Cabin recommended.
