Cozy four bedroom home, private fenced backyard, minutes from East Okoboji.

Four bedroom, two bathroom home located five blocks west of East Okoboji Lake. Sleeps 14, large bunk room is a kid favorite! 1.5 minute drive to nearest boat dock. Six blocks from Memorial Park. Ten minutes from Arnold’s Park. Two blocks from Spirit Lake school playground and rec center. Walking distance from downtown Spirt Lake shops, restaurants and taverns. This is a family vacation home that we would like others to enjoy as well. We love vacationing in Okoboji/Spirt Lake and believe you will too!

Lots of sleeping options

Our family enjoyed having shared eating, cooking and relaxing spaces and being able to retreat to private sleeping quarters.We discovered a wonderful park three blocks from the house!

Classic (1890s) home close to everything. Well equipped for a small family with you young kids. Property has been well loved and shows its wear and tear - but for the price it was a good find for us.

It was a good space. First impression was rough because someone left one of the stove burners on and it smelled terrible in there, but after it dissipated it was fine. There was also a lot of debris, like cereal, under the chairs in the living room. Check-in was easy. Kitchen was nice and well-stocked. Backyard was cozy. The kids all liked the bunkbeds room. House is in a good location.

Great place for a family at Okoboji

The house was clean and well appointed. Jennifer was great to work with. Would highly recommend for families wanting a great launching point in Spirit Lake/Okoboji!

Perfect Get Away

This home was a perfect place for our family vacation! Staying in the lakes area you are out doing lots of fun things and this home was a great place to come back sleep and do it again. The host was very quick to respond to a couple of small issues we had none were their fault.

Everything about this property is old. The driveway where we parked our truck and boat was a swamp due to the sump pump running constantly. The back yard is over grown and moldy smelling like the inside. Indoor and outdoor furniture are full of stains. On the positive side, it was a convenient location to get to the boat docks and lakes.

The interior of the house was clean but due to the age of the house it smelled strongly of mold. The sump pump dumped directly into the yard, making the side yard swampy. The back yard was also very moist and moldy. It also would have been helpful to have a code on the door, instead of one key among multiple individuals.

Spirit Lake Trip

Our extended family took a long weekend trip to Spirit Lake, IA. The house was great, the location was amazing. Walking distance to the lake and just a short drive to shopping, attractions, groceries, etc. We had a small issue with the trash cans, but the owners resolved it immediately and were very easy to contact and friendly to talk to. I would absolutely recommended staying here and would stay here again with my family if we ever traveled to spirit lake againetc

Great Vacation Home

Plenty of space. Huge kitchen. Beauftiful backyard. Clean bathrooms. Lots of towels. 4 Comfy bedrooms. Close to everything. Arnold's Park was 13 minutes away. Bridges Bay has an amazing indoor waterpark and a 140 ft high Zip Line. The Lake was closer. Walmar,t, Pizza Ranch, the Indian Motorcycle Factory and A&W was 3 miles away.

The house was old, but comfortable.

The overall stay was good and we had everything we needed. The host was very accessible and helpful. Some things were no longer there that we would have liked, the high chair and the baby monitor. The host said they were taken by other visitors. There was no door on the downstairs bedroom, just a curtain. The kitchen was well furnished and there were lots of fun toys for the kids to play with.

First Time to Okoboji

Check in was easy, owner communication was prompt. The house is very old and needs some upstairs bathroom renovations but we did enjoy the character of the home. The backyard amenities were subpar with a grill rusted out and the corn hole bags busted - plus most of the sandbox, dinning furniture, and playground items weren’t accessible with the overgrown backyard. Beds were comfortable but might want to bring your own comforters because they only had throws on the beds which seemed odd as most people don’t bring their own bedding with them. Location is roughly 15mins from anything on East or West lakes unless you just want to hang out at Big Spirit. Shops around the house were good as were the restaurant options but again none of the major tourist places are within walking distance. Big bonus is the Spirit Lake community school playground - completely renovated and great space for kids of all ages. We’ll be back to this cute lake town but will stay closer to the main strip/water next time.

Comfie beds, older home

Home was easy to find and access. Front porch wasn’t used by anyone in our party. Has a bit of a rotting wood smell. House opens to dining room, large kitchen and living room with great seating. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Beds were comfie. Plenty of beds to choose from. Bathroom downstairs is only shower. Great lighting, great water pressure. Bedroom downstairs has a mattress protector on it, that was plastic and very crinkly. Made it hard to sleep well. Three bedrooms upstairs with bathroom. Bathroom upstairs only has bath tub, and very small sink. Lightning is not great and doors don’t shut tight. Bedroom with king was comfortable, but door didn’t shut. Had to hold it closed or use locking system.
