This is an amazing home for couples enjoying a getaway, a family on vacation, or even celebrating an occasion with the friends! This home draws attention, due to it being so close to downtown!

If you just need a place to stay

Well I received a text from the host with a lot of don’t do’s or else you be fined the magic number of $250. Apparently he has had some bad experience with some renters. And when I got to the house there were more don’t do’s noted at the thermostat. Also there were not enough towels to handle 8 people… the place was not very clean, But I guess in the final analysis the old adage is true… you get what you pay for

Wow! i’m sorry you felt this way, I would have never guessed since you did not reach out not one single time about any issues during your stay! I would have taken care of any problems you had if you’d reach out to me.. I have a storage closet specifically locked with extra towels, you just needed to ask me. As for the cleaning, there was a cleaner there the day of your check-in so i'm having a hard time figuring out what wasn't clean. Either way, I would have you back so please please reach out next time so any issues can be addressed.

When I arrived at the home it was very nice on the outside. I went in with my daughter in law and my grandson. We started putting our bags and groceries down. My grandson picked up a ballon that was on the floor and that’s when we noticed. There was pet hair everywhere all over the floor, furniture and the bedrooms upstairs. The tub was nasty it looked like someone had just taken a shower and just left the tub as is. I reached out to the owner Vincent immediately and advised of the condition of the home. I told him that we could not stay because my other daughter that was allergic to cats would not be able to stay. He asked were the pet hair was an advised he would have to charge the previous renters because animals were not allowed. That let me know he had not checked the home to make sure it was clean prior to renting it. I was not even there 30 minutes. I requested a full refund because I had to make other arrangements for somewhere to stay. He didn’t respond the next day he asked for pictures which I provided. He advised that his cleaning crew had came Saturday morning and stated they did not see animal hair. He advised he would not be giving me any kind of refund because the cleaning crew sent a picture of a ballon which was already there and stated it looked like a party had been had. I advised that I wasn’t even at the home 30 minutes so he knew I did not have a party. I also told him to check his cameras and he would see I did not have a party. He also stated that a w

BEWARE

BEWARE- I booked for our Christmas mini getaway to Dallas with my family. Was supposed to be a mini vacation to clear out heads after losing my brother. The check in process was good and when we walked in the house was ok. The cleanliness was not great but we made do with it.. Right away I sanitized the entire house to make sure my daughters didn’t catch anything. We noticed that there weren’t enough towels set out even though he knew that we were a big family staying there. After we unpacked we made a run to the local Walmart to grab what we needed for our stay. While at Walmart I sent the owner a message asking that we were going to buy batteries because the downstairs thermostat didn’t have batteries. He informed me that it was like that intentionally but that the upstairs thermostat controlled the whole house.. while I was texting with him I asked him if we could have more towels and he gave me a code to the closet.. DO NOT EVER ASK FOR THIS CODE!!!! I made that mistake.. he said very clearly that he has inventory on EVERYTHING in that closet and that I’m NOT to touch anything but the towels!! When we got back to the house my mom told me that she had actually brought extra towels.. we did NOT open this closet because we didn’t need towels.. when the owner asked me if I opened the closet I told him no. The entire trip went fine and when we left he called me, sent me a message through Vrbo and texted me. He claimed that we stole a bunch of paper towels!! I informed him that we did not and that we only used the paper towels that were on the kitchen counter!!! He went on to say that his cleaning person told him we stole them and that he couldn’t understand why they weee missing after we left.. we went back and forth but at the end I gave up cuz it was useless. He sent me a picture that he claims was the storage closet where the paper towels are missing. I can’t be for certain that the picture he sent is actually the closet he claims I went into because I never looked in that closet because we never opened it!!! So as a precaution: DO NOT ASK FOR THE CODE BECAUSE HE WILL ACCUSE YOU OF STEALING!! Take a video and pictures of how you find the house so you have proof of how it looks and take EVERYTHING you need and NEVER use anything of his!!! He will charge you credit card and claim that paper towels cost $30.. He ruined what was supposed to be a vacation for our healing.. I will NEVER rent from him again and everyone be VERY careful.

Amparo, first I am saddened to hear that $30 made you make your review a one star. You firmly told me you guys had a great stay during check-out before I addressed any of the paper towel situation. I gave you access to my storage closet to access more towels, and although I gave you the code you still chose to get more towels from Walmart. I don’t believe this is a fair review for dealing with a damage/stolen item claim. I gave you a fair warning that I had inventory of the entire closet and I would be able to tell if anything was missing. Although it was just paper towels, we still had to replace them again. As I let you know we bought a new 6 pack before your check-in, so when you left and there was only one left there is only one explanation for it.. it may have not been you specifically, but possibly your guests. Either way I do apologize for the inconvenience and we have improved our processes to have the correct number of towels out for each stay so we can minimize any guests asking for extras. The only reason this happened is because I had to give you access to my number coded storage closet, and I have never had any issues before with this because I usually don’t give the code out. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience of charging you for the missing paper towels, but it did have to be replaced. For future guests booking forward, please do not heed these claims. My home is cleaned thoroughly each time, so double sanitation is not needed, and if you anything extra such as towels to accommodate your stay please let me know.

Perfect Getaway with friends & family

My friends and I made a last-minute trip to Dallas and found out about Alec's place. It was in a great location close to Deep Ellum. We had a wonderful time, and the property had plenty of space for our large group! Awesome living room and backyard. Extremely satisfied with how fast Alex message us back. Definitely will book again, next time we visit the area!

Great place for large gatherings!

Host is very good at communicating and response time is amazing! Over all the stay was great, I had no issues with the home except the floors were a bit dirty but I didn’t mind it. Perfect for large gatherings, had my 22nd birthday party and everyone loved the home. Also there is plenty of parking along the street which was perfect for this occasion. Also had an incident where my friend lost her wallet on the street and some kids returned it, so it is a very nice neighborhood!! Will be booking again in the future!

Great stay! I highly recommend this bnb. The home was exact same as stated in details. Fairly quiet neighborhood, other than traffic passing through. The home was clean, easy check in process, nice neighborhood and good location. Of not being in the city, but not too far away. The owner Alex is great, he responds quickly to messages and communicator when we had questions.

Don't Overlook

Place is very nice inside, pictures on vrbo are dark, so they don't give it any justice. Quiet neighborhood, enjoyed my morning coffee outdoors. Host responded very quickly to questions. Everything we wanted to do was 20 minutes out. I'm from a small town so this might be normal for some :) If you have10 or more adults take an extra air mattress or two unless you are ok sharing a couch!

Excellent Property

The experience was great. We were able to check in seamlessly and the host responded very quickly to any questions I had. The property was very clean and even came with fun board games for my guests and I to use.

Teen Paint Party & Sleepover

I rented the property for my daughter’s 15th birthday. Alex was the consummate host; extremely communicative and accommodating. Would recommend.

Verandah, big backyard, Arcade machine, board games, plenty of TV's and a beautiful neighborhood located in a quiet subdivision. Police station is located less than .5 miles away(Next door to subdivision.
