Eagle’s Rest-lakefront, paddle boat

A large front porch welcomes you to Eagle's Rest overlooking beautiful Eagle Lake. Upon entering this gorgeous custom cabin, you'll find the comfy living room with wood floors and a stone fireplace, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Whimsical details can be found throughout this unique cabin including door handles carved by a local artist and interesting art throughout. There is also a game room stocked with plenty of games, puzzles and toys and an air hockey table. The quiet and inviting king-sized en suite master bedroom is on the main level. A powder room and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer finishes out the main level. Upstairs you'll find another full-size bath as well as a loft style bedroom with queen size bed plus two twin size beds. Enjoy views of Eagle Lake while relaxing on the screened porch, accessible from both the living room and the master bedroom. The outdoor space features a large yard, lots of sitting and outdoor dining areas, a charcoal grill and an antique forged iron fountain on the patio. Bring your fishing gear to fish off the dock or cruise around the lake on our paddleboat or your own kayak or canoe. Please bring your own lifejackets. This cabin is adjacent to it's sister cabin, Owl's Perch. These cabins are completely separate with separate entrances and screened porches but they are joined by a deck, so you will likely see the other family staying in the adjacent cabin.

Need more space? Our sister cabin Owl's Perch accommodates up to 8 more guests and is located adjacent to Eagle's Rest. If you would like to book them together check out VRBO # 2289629 These cabins can be rented together at a discount. Please note that these cabins share a common dock and large yard overlooking the lake, but each cabin has lots of private outdoor space for you to enjoy!

Located approximately 5-10 minutes from downtown Mentone, 10 minutes to Desoto State Park, 30 minutes to Cloudland State Park.

Beautiful, and we'd go back again!
We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend in a beautiful setting. The home was gorgeous and comfortable, and the setting was beautiful and serene. We enjoyed family time inside and outside with all of the fun things to do. It was close enough to all of the local attractions for a short ride in, but far enough out to be quiet and peaceful. Would love to stay there again!

Great place to stay
The cabin was a comfortable place with a loft upstairs and master downstairs, each with a bath + a half bath near the kitchen. Great space for gathering. The appliances also were nice and worked well. The internet worked well but we had no phone service (Verizon) but were able to use the wifi calling feature. VRBO misrepresented the location (appeared to be by brow park but was further down the road from Mentone) It still was a nice place to be and if you need another house for friends or family, there is a house right next door, also owened by the same group.

Great Weekend Fishing Trip
Eagle's Rest is a beautiful cabin on quiet road. Everything was clean and well-stocked. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the pond out back. We had a great time fishing and sitting in the outdoor space.

Great cabin!
This is a great secluded cabin with a large welcoming front porch and beautiful landscaping. The cabin is spacious and nicely stocked. We spent our mornings drinking coffee from the cozy screened back porch overlooking the pond. My husband enjoyed early morning and evening fishing from the kayak. We loved having an evening around the fire pit. Rain on the metal roof was very relaxing. The cabin is about 10 minutes from DeSoto State Park and 15 minutes to Ft. Payne. We enjoyed exploring the area. Can’t wait to make a trip back!

Amazing stay at Eagles Rest
We absolutely LOVED the property!!!! It was nice, clean, great amenities and an awesome location. Great attention to detail in the house and the landscaping. Super charming! It sits very close to its neighbor Owls Perch. Next time we will have a family we know or additional family rent it as well since it’s so close and shares some common outside areas. An amazing time and Holly, the renter, is top notch! A great communicator! We will be back!
