Red Bird Roost - Cozy log cabin on the Brow steps to downtown and Brow Park

Location in Scenic Mentone on Cool Street less than two blocks from downtown and one block from Brow Park. Lovely 2 bedroom 2 bath authentic log cabin with maximum mountain charm and character. Open living, dining and kitchen on main level with full bath. Large stone wood burning fireplace with vaulted ceiling. Main room opens to screened porch with multiple tables and chairs to enjoy the tree tops and access to outdoor grill area, stairs up from main area to loft with king bed and spiral staircase down from main living area to private basement suite with twin XL beds, sitting area, bath and lower level screened patio with swing and comfortable sitting area. Lower basement suite also accessible from separate entrance.
Outdoor firepit and sitting area. Firewood is provided for a $25 fee per night, please let manager know if you would like to add this charge.

We had a great time! We were able to hike and explore all day and return to a cozy cabin to rest and relax. The house was clean and just as described. Our host checked in on us after our first night and was hospitable and helpful. We would definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends.

Cabin was very private and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Bed (king) was super comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk to Brow Park. Be advised that king bed is in a loft and twin beds are down a spiral staircase (didn’t use that bedroom). It wasn’t a problem for us, just know before you go. Bathroom is on main level, so hopefully very few nighttime bathroom trips. Kevin is an excellent host. We had no issue during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Bird Roost. It was quiet, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics, which made cooking easy and convenient. One of our favorite parts was the back porch. Perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or winding down in the evening. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and recharge.

Family Kayaking Adventure

The home was very cozy and was very accommodating for our family. My wife and I were able to enjoy the main bedroom while our two daughters enjoyed the downstairs area. The home made our visit to Mentone a very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful, Well-Kept Cabin

Our stay was wonderful! The cabin is precious, well-decorated, and extremely clean. The host reached out to us to ensure our stay was going well. The procedures for checking in and checking out were simple. When I left an item at the cabin, the owner worked quickly with housekeeping to ensure its quick return. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Mentone!

Wonderful Stay

The cabin was beautiful warm and cozy. The property is well maintained and it is easy to see it is well loved in all the small details, window dressing, artwork as well as furnishings. Just a wonderful and beautiful stay. Also, has a great view and walking distance to Wildflower. We both recommend this property and look forward to staying there again!

Fantastic getaway

This house in Mentone was the perfect weekend getaway. Beautifully decorated with ample space for us within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Mentone. The cozy cabin had a comfortable seating in front of fireplace that was perfect for reading, working a puzzle, or watching football. We would love to visit again.

Great spot Mother/Daughter weekend

The cottage is in a great location near Mentone spots like the Wildflower Cafe, the Sallie Howard Church and walking distance to a great sunset at Brow Park. The home is exactly as described, clean and well-stocked. The owner/manager was incredibly responsive when we couldn't figure out the heat/air (which was very easy once pointed in the right direction). We would stay here again.

Wonderful cabin in perfect location

Charming, well-maintained home on a quiet street, very close to center of Mentone. Awesome sunsets from The Brow, nearby small city park, just a minute’s walk away. Perfect moments: besides sunsets
spreading our blanket to lay down in the middle of the street late night, looking up at a star-filled sky
walking down the hill to hear a free Celtic music concert. Wonderful stay

A perfect cabin for a perfect "girl's" gathering

Four long time friends wanted to get together for a rather last minute weekend. Mentone was a convenient location and Red Bird Roost couldn't have been a more perfect cabin for us. The accomodations were cozy and comfortable. Although small, the kitchen had ample glassware, plates, utensils, towels, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. The porch was a great place to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the short walk to watch the evening sunset at Brow Park. Finally, the owner was attentive, responsive and generous. We sincerely hope to be back soon!
