This is an amazing one of a kind lake front property with three separate living units on the same property AS WELL AS a boat house & large PRIVATE BEACH! Perfect for Weddings, Family Reunions or Multi-Family Vacations!

The main house, The Mainstay, boasts incredible lake views from inside as well as from the expansive back deck. The gated deck is ideal if young children are in your party. The Mainstay sleeps 15 across three levels with 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and a laundry room.. The downstairs play area has a full size foosball table.

The detached cottage has two separate units affectionately known as Bikini Top & Bikini Bottom.

Bikini Bottom is handicap accessible, sleeps 8 in two bedrooms, full kitchen, has a laundry room as well as a soothing view of the lake from the screened in porch.

Bikini Top sleeps 9 in two bedrooms, full kitchen, and has a fun view of the lake from the private upper deck.

There is a boat house and an expansive private beach equipped with beach chairs and an umbrella several screened in porches, fire pit area and so much more. Included in the rental is a paddle board and kayaks. Enjoy cooking outside on propane grill availabe as well.

There is parking for boats on either side of the boat house. PLEASE NOTE: Slips and lifts are not available for use with rentals.

We hope you enjoy your stay and make a million wonderful memories while staying at our home. If you are in search of an amazing retreat where you and your family/friends can come stay together (and apart in your own unit)...it doesn't get any better than this! If you're looking for a place to whoop it up and party...our retreat is not for you. Our neighborhood is very much family oriented, peaceful and laid back. As one of very few rentals in the entire area, we are excited to share the LKG experience with you and ask in return that you respect our neighborhood/neighbors.

We had an amazing vacation and made memories to last a lifetime! The hosts are quick to answer questions and did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful time. Water fun

Our family group (age 1-96) had a fantastic stay - everyone loved the lakefront, especially the ample shade provided by the boat house. The house is well-stocked and ready to walk in and enjoy. A great place to relax!

Big family home

Great property with 3 separate living areas and 3 kitchens. Paddle board, kayaks and beach area were a nice addition to our stay. House was clean, linens were fresh. Only downside were the multiple hornets and wasps constantly around us. We had a lot of stings and this was unfortunate. The cove was wonderful for swimming and just hanging out with the kids.

Work Retreat

The leadership team for my company spent a couple of days at this amazing lake side property. It was perfect for a larger group. The owners were excellent at communicating prior to the stay to ensure that we were prepared with everything from parking plans to meal planning. This is a beautiful home in a prime location on the lake. We enjoyed the beautiful view and all of the amenities offered at this home. It is a 10! Highly recommend it!

Great Time Together

Our extended family of 25, from 1 year old to 82, gathered at this amazing home for a wonderful week in June. The home has everything we could imagine: 3 fully stocked kitchens with everything needed for cooking for a large group, comfortable beds, multiple gathering spaces inside and out and hideaway space for alone time. The covered dock with plenty of chairs and shade was a favorite spot and tie up for our boat. The teenagers enjoyed the WiFi and endless card games and outdoor skill challenges. The many extras provided (toiletries in the bathrooms, spices in the kitchen) were enjoyed by all. We swam in the lake, kayaked alone or in a parade, fished, played games, sat around the campfire watching the fireflies, and made memories. We can’t wait to come back.

Fabulous place for family and friends

We had two families of three generations at the lake; kids from 4 months to 16 yrs and the property was great for all. The dock and beach are a wonderful place for all the kids to play. The water in front of the beach was perfect for the little ones and the cove is nice for the older croud. The bikini top and bottom worked out really well for the families with infants and toddlers. The lawn was great for cornhole and lawn darts. The cove is nice and quiet and has a beautiful view of main lake too. The house is well equipped with all the amenities, and extras. Overall we could not have found a better place for our group! Thank you again for such a wonderful vacation!

Truly a Lakeside Retreat

We held a family reunion here the second week of July, with some hot, humid weather. We could fish and swim right off the dock (kids, teens, and adults), the canoes and kayaks were well-used, our 1 year-old even attempted to paddle on his own in a small kayak. Lawn games were a great touch. The outdoor deck was great for meals, and the dock for evening gatherings. The three living spaces are well stocked, beds are comfortable, air condition worked great! Enough space for 28 of us. We decided not to rent a boat (many little kids), and found there was more than enough to do at this "waterfront retreat". As kids get older we might come back and do some boating as well. The communication with host was great, so responsive and kind. While there wasn't a large indoor gathering space for the entire group, we made the living room in the main house work. A great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Incredible place for family reunion!

Our extended family converged from different parts of the country to what became the perfect platform for some wonderful memories. Prior to arrival (and upon arrival) the owners were super helpful and responsive. Once at the home we could not believe how clean the home was! The accessories (inside and out) were well thought out. The layout of the three connected units gave us sufficient elbow room but not so much we couldn't find people. Visibility of the dock and lake from the deck and yard was perfect and relaxing. Other extras like lots of coffee pots, plenty of fridges, a new grill, plenty of fresh bedding, and even a foosball table made us feel like we were staying at a friend's house. Outside, the use of the various boats and canoes was so fun! Topping it all off, the use of the new fire pit was a great way to spend cool nights. Thank you Steve and Dena for providing such a great place to relax with our family! -Ryan

All the spaces were nicely furnished and comfortable. Our extended family enjoyed our reunion very much. Only criticism was that many of the beds were too soft, or the mattresses needed to be updated.

Definitely would rent again !!

We had an awesome week here. A beautiful home with the additional apartments was great. Being right on the lake is so convenient with our boat & jetski. The owner was always available with any questions we had. Everyone had a great time & we loved everything about it. Only downfall was the propane tanks were not refilled prior to us checking in so 2 of our meals we wanted to grill we had to cook inside.

Great week on the lake.

15 family members stayed for a week in July. Fishing was great from the dock. With plenty of lounge chairs for the adults to relax on the private beach area. Plenty of beds for everyone. A larger area for everyone to gather inside would have been nice. Overall a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood and cove in the lake!

Family Vacation - Mom's 80th Birthday

All my mother wanted for her 80th birthday was to have all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (31of us in all) together ...and to go skydiving. Well, we made BOTH of those things happen and she was ecstatic! Thank goodness we found Steve and Dena's property! Truly, it was perfect for the event! The 2 houses (3 places) are close enough together where even the kids could wander back and forth between houses, yet families could have their own space and privacy when they chose to. The deck at the Mainstay was the favorite gathering place for meals and the lawn was great for yard games. However, the private beach, with plenty of lounge chairs, and the boat dock were by far the biggest hits, for young and old, alike. Loved it! Highly recommend!

Incredible stay with an incredible view!

We rented this property with friends as a getaway trip to be together and celebrate our friend who recently passed. In total, we had 23 adults staying on the property. To say we had an amazing time is a complete understatement! We were initially concerned with staying in three separate living areas, but it worked out perfectly for our group and having access to three full kitchens made mealtimes smooth and clean up easy. The bedrooms easily accommodated our group and people shared the full bathrooms without being inconvenienced. The lakeside access was perfect for our group and it was rare to look outside and not see some of us enjoying time on the dock or in the provided lounge chairs. We were fortunate with the weather overall and spent more time outside than we anticipated. Most of all, Stephen was extremely communicative and welcoming throughout our stay. I messaged him once with a couple, minor questions and he responded within minutes. I would 100% recommend booking this property to anyone looking to get away in a peaceful neighborhood that provides the perfect reset. We would absolutely book again if given the opportunity!

Perfect for large family gathering

Our large extended family enjoyed this property in the week between Christmas and New Years, and were extremely happy with our stay. A couple of very positive notes: - the property has three separate, independent living spaces, each with a full kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Wonderful for multiple family units to stretch out and have privacy when wanted. - property was great for kids: we had 7 cousins running around, ages 11- 2 months old. Plenty of beds for everyone. - the outdoor spaces were generous, well furnished, and connected the living spaces well. We loved evenings around the fire pit - the view is gorgeous! - the weather was nice enough that we used the canoes and kayaks daily for brief excursions. In the winter, the lake had almost no boat traffic and was peaceful. - the hosts were wonderful. We really appreciated that each of the cottages had Christmas tress and were decorated for the season. All the cousins loved getting a second Christmas morning at the lake house - no fault of the owners, but the house lost power one morning. When I contacted Stephen, he responded immediately, had an electrician at the house within 15 minutes, diagnosed the issue, and had the power company come out within two hours. The house had a generator back up, which worked great, and we did not miss a beat in the house during the whole issue. A+ for response to the problem. - house was clean. kitchen was well stocked Overall, we loved our stay at Lake Gaston and would rebook!

We have a large blended His, Mine & Ours Family! We have 9 children and currently have 5 grand children! We absolutely adore the Lake and all the fun memories it provides on each and every visit! We look forward to watching generations of Mangum's grow up on beautiful Lake Gaston! This beautiful lake retreat will be part of our family history and memories for years and years to come! We wish the same wonder and enjoyment for our guests as well!

We've owned a home at the Lake for years but when this one came available we knew it was perfect for us...and hopefully for your family as well! There is a ton of space for gathering, playing, laughing and relaxing...as well as plenty of individual space for some much needed privacy when things get crazy as often they do with large gatherings! The community is super friendly and very family oriented.

Our home offers a little bit of something for everyone....swimming, boating, private sandy beach lounging with lots of chairs, room to play football & cornhole, great fishing off the dock and three complete kitchens and living spaces. Outdoor area is beautiful and spacious.
