Welcome to The “SUMMER WIND” House! 5-Minutes to the Beach!

THE “SUMMER WIND” HOUSE - WALK TO EVERYTHING!
We have completely renovated our 5-bedroom, 3-full bathroom home with central AC. Walk up the steps to our large wrap around porch where Adirondack chairs await you to relax and smell the salt air. The main level of the house consists of the large kitchen with island that seats 8 people. The dining room/ living room open concept, the 1st floor bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom with tub/shower combo and laundry room complete the first level. There are 2 staircases which lead up to the second level with 3 queen bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and 2 additional full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms share Jack-and-Jill balconies with Adirondack chairs with ocean views. The large yard has a new bluestone patio complete with outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower and plenty of room for lawn games and privacy. Let the "Summer Wind" House become your “Happy Place” for years to come. THIS PROPERTY RENTS SUNDAY TO SUNDAY ONLY June thru August. All other months check-in/out dates can be flexible.

Great House, Great Host!

The home is in a perfect location! Walking distance to the beach and Circuit Ave. It comfortably accommodated our family of 4 couples with ease
 There are a lot of thoughtful details that make this a great home for staying in - lol The host was incredibly responsive and made me feel like we’ve known each other for years
 Looking forward to making more memories here

Our family vacation at the Summer Wind was simply amazing. The wonderful experience started with our communications with Wendy, the homeowner, who immediately responded to any and all questions both day and night - she was so friendly, patient, knowledgeable, thoughtful and helpful, that we would’ve have booked her house for a second year even if it hadn’t been perfect - and yet the Summer Wind WAS perfect! The house is Beautiful and recently renovated: the kitchen, bathrooms, A/C, flatscreen smartTVs in every room, washer/dryer, water pressure/hot water, pristine yard and large grill area, etc. are truly top-notch. Wendy provided sheets, towels, trash pick-up, beach equipment, and she even recommended a local business that allowed my wife and I to forgo overstuffing our car - instead, we were able to order the delivery of much needed “baby stuff” (e.g. a sturdy crib) for our 15-month old son. The house is an 8-10 minute walk to Backdoor Donuts in downtown Oak Bluffs and you have easy views of the ocean (it’s very close to the house) from the master bedroom and other rooms. My family and I spent many hours sitting on the wraparound porch while chatting, drinking a glass of wine or two, and marveling at the serenity of the neighborhood. We are already booked for next summer, and we plan to make this our annual family retreat!

Oak Bluffs classic charm and comfort

The home is perfectly situated with view of ocean. One block off the beach. Can walk to Inkwell and a short drive to State Beach or South Beach. Walking to heart of Oak Bluffs is also easy. Our group was adult family members (Older parents, two sisters and our husbands and my 20 year old son). The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are updated and bright. The kitchen was well appointed and spacious with lots of seating, and the full dining room/open concept living area was perfect for our group of 7. And the large wrap around porch was our favorite gathering place for morning coffee and conversation. The outdoor kitchen is fantastic. We never ate at restaurants for dinner! The owners are amazing, responsive and accessible. I highly recommend this classic Martha’s Vineyard home. We will stay there again for sure! Also, the neighbors were very welcoming and friendly which made us fall in love with the area even more!

The Summer Wind house is walking distance to the beach, ferry and the downtown so a car is not necessary. The neighborhood is quiet and the large side yard is great for cookouts and lawn games.

The large wrap around porch is perfect for watching the sunsets. From the second-story juliet balconies you can see the Oak Bluffs fireworks during August.
