The Panther Den Cabin is brand new and located 4 miles from Black River and Hwy K Campground. Cabin has 2 lofts for sleeping that kids will love!! Annapolis, MO is in the middle of attractions and places to visit. Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park, Taum Sauk State Park and Sam A. Baker State Park are all within 30 minutes. Wappapello and Clearwater Lakes are a short drive as well. Fire pit, BBQ grill, and picnic table comes with Cabin. Food and drinks are with walking distance.

The cutest little cabin AKA "The Panthers Den"

It was seriously so cute! Nice & clean. Plenty of space & sleeping areas for our family of 6. Although, we didnt spend alot time actually in the cabin it was nice to come back to a nice cool place to relax for a bit and shower, after an entire evening in the rain (Friday) & full day of sun floating the black river (Saturday). I would highly recommend the Panthers Den to friends/family & if available next year we will be back!!!

Water issues

There was a boil water in effect which is understandable. I boiled water for cooking and dishes. The biggest problem was there was no hot water at. So bathing was a issue. all

Panther Cabin

Overall really enjoyed the stay and natural beauty, however not being able to flush toilet paper was definitely a downside

Very Cute Cabin

Very cute and clean cabin. The listing does state there are a few amenities that are not really there- such as WiFi, a fenced yard and a fireplace. If the listing details were correct I would give this place 5 stars , but because the ad is a little misleading ( but didn’t impact our stay) we give it 4 stars.

Cozy but nice

Perfect sleeping spot as we knew we wouldn’t be inside much! Would never know it was a converted shed inside! Very clean and had everything you need to cook a meal. Husband is 6’3, so his shower was a tad difficult but he didn’t complain! Kids loved the loft area! They even had an intense card game going on up there! Deck was perfect to grill and hang out!

Great pad to enjoy the Ozarks

We enjoyed our stay at the spotless, quaint Panther Den. Bed was comfy, kitchen was great. Nice deck to sit out and enjoy the cooler evenings. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Ceilings are low in the bedroom and bathroom, but we’re 5’8” and 6’2” and we managed. :)

Very cute little cabin

This cabin is very well equipped, with everything you need to cook inside or outside. It is nice and clean, and there's lots of outdoor space. We had four adults and a teenager, and I think it is more suited for two adults with several smaller children, as the loft areas have a very low ceiling. Two of our adults are over 6' tall, and couldn't stand up in the bedroom or bathroom. So it's great for people of a shorter stature, for sure. But we were grateful to have a cabin to come back to after a day on the river. I highly recommend this cabin for shorter people :-)

Panther Den

The Panther Den was a great home base for our family to spend a long weekend enjoying the Black River, Johnson Shut-Ins, and Elephant Rocks. The kitchen is well stocked and the Queen-sized bed is comfy, and the air conditioning and fans provided will keep you nice and cool in the summertime. It’s small but our family of six people fit comfortably. Might not be as comfortable if there are tall people in your group, the bedroom, bathroom, and loft ceilings are low. I’d recommend stocking up on groceries & supplies before you arrive, the town has a Dollar General but not an actual grocery store, and the liquor store closes at noon on Sunday. We enjoyed the fire pit each night, and the hosts even provided marshmallow roasting sticks and s’mores fixings!
