Mount Elden suite! Close to downtown Flagstaff

This apartment at the base of Mount Elden has a private entrance to the right of the house, through the gate, and up the stairs. First thing you will see is the balcony where you can sit and enjoy the fresh air and views of Mount Elden under a giant 500 year old oak tree.

Inside this 600 sq foot apartment you will enter into the main living area which is open to a full kitchen.

In the kitchen is a full refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and double oven (upper oven for broiling only). Basic kitchen items such as a Keurig coffee maker, knives, cutting boards, pots and pans, pyrex dishes, toaster, waffle maker, blender, and cookie sheet are provided for you to make your own meals. We have coffee, creamer and sugar available for you.

After the long day of adventures or if your here to just relax, do it on our couch with a 55 inch Roku smart tv. It is logged into Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney Plus. Feel free to log into your own account to access your own watch list. We do not have cable.

There are 2 bedrooms. One room has a king size bed and the other has a queen. Both rooms have a dresser and closet space with hangers.

The bathroom has full size shower/tub combo. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available. There is also a blow dryer.

Flagstaff is a mountain town at 7000 ft elevation which cools down once the sun sets. We do have a portable AC in the main living room that cools the place down nicely. If you want to enjoy the fresh mountain air, the fans and open windows also can cool it down in the evening and nights.

We as a family live in the main part of the house. There is a door connecting the two that always remains locked. There is no sharing of any space! There will be some daily living sounds. We have kids and dogs that you might hear in the back yard. And any where you stay in Flagstaff you can hear the train.

Our cul-de-sac has access to the national forest and Flagstaff trail systems which means you can hit the trails without getting in your car.

There is room for one car on the RIGHT side of the driveway. Street parking is available 24/7.

Very nice experience

Everything was great! Nicole was very nice and responsive. Location makes it very easy to get downtown for all the great shops and restaurants. The rental was updated and modern. Highly recommend.

Great stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The apartment is above the family's garage, but we never heard them or really ever saw anyone. The apartment was immaculately clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable, the towels smelled amazing and were very plush, and the overall feeling was very welcoming. We'd stay here again without a second thought. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Lessons Learned

There are a few things to touch on about this property. We had booked a two-night stay; however, we only stayed three hours before having to leave and go to a hotel. Unfortunately, the weekend away became very expensive as we paid for double the lodging. The pro is that the owner had great communication prior to our check-in. The listing noted we would not have access to the backyard which was understandable and evident as when we arrived we were greeted by dogs barking over the small fence. The listing noted the front yard was available; however, based on appearance they were not ready for renters. When we opened the door to the apartment the entire space smelled like dogs. We quickly opened all of the windows and after carrying our luggage upstairs we went for a walk in the neighborhood to allow the apartment to air out. Based on the smell, dust on the bathroom shelf, oil splashes on the stove and cleanliness it appeared this rental does not use professional cleaners. After arriving back from our walk the place still smelled like dog and after being there a couple hours I had a severe allergic reaction to the dog dander/hair which forced us to relocate to a hotel. VRBO told us that if the owner rented the space to another party we could be refunded the money to go towards the hotel so I emailed the owner as soon as we knew we were leaving (3 hours after check-in). Unfortunately, it seems that the rental was not rebooked. There was a lot to be learned from this experience and we are grateful for the rental lessons; which is why our review includes the detail that it does. I do hope it helps someone!

Perfect Flagstaff Getaway!

Took a weekend trip with my mother in law and we had a fantastic stay. It was super quiet in the neighborhood. The living room/kitchen was perfect for us, we ended up spending quite a bit of time there because it was rainy in the afternoon. They had everything we needed and we were close to downtown Flag, great restaurants, the grocery store. Hiking was available from the end of the street. There was also a great selection of games and we ended up playing a movie trivia game for 3 hours! Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect place in the pines!

Absolutely charming, comfortable, and close to everything yet tucked in a great neighborhood vs. main drag. The beds were super comfy, place is well appointed, rarely saw or heard the owners in main house. Did hear the doggos in the morning (8am, not early but I did say beds were comfy haha) but didn’t bother these dog lovers. Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect stay for our family

Our stay was exactly what we needed. We were able to visit the cute town of flagstaff, hike Grand Canyon, do sliding rock and Sedona. The space was perfect and clean. The host was friendly and responsive to all messages. Our children enjoyed playing with theirs in the front yard. The beds and linen were comfortable. Thank you for our nice stay!

Excellent property with everything that you need!

We loved staying at the property! We had enough privacy and loved sitting on the upstairs patio. The owner was very communicative and even had great hiking suggestions for littles. The place was super clean and the linens were soft! We were able to cook using a well-stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back! Thanks!

Perfect location!

Very nice apartment strategically located for visiting the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Close to restaurants and grocery store but on a quiet dead end street tucked in the mountains.

Great stay

Went to sight see the Grand Canyon, east and south rim. This was a great location, the host was excellent to deal with, and Flagstaff was a midway point to get to both. Loved the location and condo was everything we needed!!

Hiking Just Steps Away

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Swiss Manor . It is obvious the owners put their hard work into remodeling and maintaining Swiss Manor. Both of us slept really well as the beds were comfortable and the property location is quiet. We prepared the majority of our meals in the vacation rental and weren’t lacking any small appliance or kitchen utensil. Proximity to trails was a great perk to Swiss Manor. We didn’t have to drive to a trailhead. We would definitely rent Swiss Manor again. Much thanks to the owners for their attention to detail for their guests’ stay.

Wife, Daughter and I were in FLG for a few days, and we thought the neighborhood was great. It was a quiet getaway for us, and everything about our stay was exceptional. Close to shops, food and roads for getting around town.
