I was blessed enough to have my groomsmen stay with me for the days leading up to my wedding in this home, and while it might be odd to speak about a house in this way, it truly felt like home. There is so much space and so many little accommodations spread throughout the whole place and I can’t thank our host enough for all of it. I made sure the boys and I cleaned up, hopefully to the standard our mommas raised us with, but this place was truly special! Who would’ve thought this gem was hidden away in Columbia, TN! You can’t go wrong and most certainly won’t be disappointed by your stay here! With the warmest and most sincere regards, One happily married groom!

Host was very accommodating even with the schedule changes we had. Overall the house was beautiful and worked well for our needs. The only issue we had was that the house seemed like it had been sitting for a while without being checked on and was not cleaned properly before we arrived. The beds, sheets, kitchen and baths were clean overall but there were hundreds of bugs (dead and alive) everywhere in the house. We had to vacuum and sweep much of the house prior to enjoying it. Other than that, it was lovely!

So sorry for the inconvenience. That is why in the check-in instructions it mentions DO NOT open windows as the top of the window tends to slide down a little and allows access to insects. The house is out in the middle of the woods so we attract all kinds of critters. I have pest control that will go out when called. I just called my housekeeper that will go check all the windows, one has to be cracked open. I've recently installed all new siding, sophits, and a new roof. There can be no other way they are getting access to the home. I am happy you enjoyed your stay.

A Wonderful Place

The Cardinal's Nest is a beautiful property, we enjoyed it immensely. We were in town 5 days for a wedding and the house was a perfect setting for a lot of family visiting time. Very comfortable and private, yet close to Columbia with fun dining and shopping. Our host Daleen was great about answering any questions and ensuring we had a nice stay. Really nice place, we'll be looking for an excuse to come back!

Wonderful Home Base

The Cardinal’s Nest is a beautiful house in a beautiful area. It was a wonderful home base for visiting Columbia, Franklin, Leipers Fork, Nashville, etc. Daleen was a warm and responsive host. We hope to stay here again sometime!

Family Vacation

The Cardinals Nest was a great place to stay for our group of 9. Plenty of beds to choose from and lots of space to move around. We enjoyed all of the amenities. The movie theater was awesome. The recliners in the theater were so comfortable and recline with the push of a button. We saw deer every morning of our stay except for the morning we had thunderstorms. I would stay again. Thanks for the memories.

Great stay for all ages!

We traveled to TN for a softball tournament and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The four 13yr olds loved the theatre room along with the game room. The 6 adults stayed very comfortably and it’s a very peaceful stay with the house being tucked away in the woods. We would definitely stay again if we make it back out that way.

Great family house!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home. As frequent renters of vacation homes we were really impressed by all the amenities. Stocked well with paper products, baby items such as a stroller and pack and play, and plenty of towels and extra blankets. The privacy is really nice and the game room and movie room were a really nice bonus! Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Family Christmas at Cardinals Nest

Loved how they had a ping pong table, when we got there, we loved playing that, the movie theater, so fancy, even with a popcorn machine! Tether ball was so fun, the fire outside, everyone loved the house! So many special features and touches :) the host, daleen, is wonderful! We had a great time at the Cardinal's Nest!! It had everything we needed. Very clean and tons of space. The kids loved the lower level with the game room and theatre. My elderly parents enjoyed the ground floor with the master bedroom, spacious bathroom and all the kitchen, dining and living spaces. All of the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great views from the deck. We loved watching the deer come through grazing each night. And from the deck my parents could watch the grandkids and their tetherball battles. Lol

Wonderful family getaway!!

Cardinal’s Nest is just “as advertised!” Beautiful property, clean home, easy check-in and out, and very comfortable accommodations. Our family loved the view, the home, the fire pit, the theater room, the game room and close proximity to plenty of restaurants, shops and trails around Columbia. Perfectly secluded and 5 mins from town. And Daleen was very responsive to any questions we had. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Thank you for the wonderful family getaway!!

Peaceful Spacious Family Getaway

The home was perfect for my large family to gather for a family wedding nearby. The home is well equipped for entertainment and cooking. More stayed at the house than previously disclosed, a baseball team! I had to pay my cleaning lady extra, worst stay she has seen in three years. It took her 17 hours to clean. Minor damages throughout.

Rolling hills, historic sites, wineries, antique shops, parks & walking trails are available for your pleasure.
