The View From Here!

This cozy, traditional 3+ bedroom cottage on Lake of Bays offers the most gorgeous views on the lake. Built on a gently-sloping rock face in a sheltered bay, the main floor has large windows and a deck that look out onto unspoiled islands and calm waters. An almost perfectly southern exposure offers sun from morning till late afternoon.

Inside, a great room with vaulted ceiling, sky lights and a rustic granite floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace leads onto a galley kitchen, 2 main floor bedrooms (sleep 3) and a large bathroom with shower and side by side vanities. A small loft and an above-ground basement sleep 3 more comfortably. The "bunky", complete with queen-sized bed, two-piece bathroom and bar fridge, is always the most coveted sleeping spot.

The main floor deck has seating for eight and an attached screened-in "Muskoka room" with more seating and a day bed.

Down at the water, a clear, sandy bottom lake slopes gradually, offering great swimming for all ages. A cedar-lined electric sauna leads onto a long dock with two swimming ladders and an attached deck.
