While this review is 5 stars, and we appreciate that, we do want to explain part of what this guest wrote. First, regarding check out, 10 am is a standard time, but we are usually flexible if we do not have another check in that day. If we have another check in on a day guests check out, we have to leave an appropriate amount of time for the house to be checked for damages and cleaned for the next guest. This is to ensure the property is in satisfactory condition upon arrival which is something we take very seriously. As for linens and towels, this is fully disclosed in our listing. It is true that this is meant to save guests money. Owners that include linens/towels in their rentals build the pricing into their rate, and therefore you are charged additional VRBO fees on top. We provide it as an option and by renting them outside VRBO you save the fee. Also, many guests do in fact prefer bringing their own (for many reasons) and appreciate the savings. Additionally, for those who do rent them, they are always delivered to the house before check in. The process is almost seamless. If any guest has an issue with linens and towels, like we did with this guest, we always work it out to their satisfaction.

We appreciate the review, but feel compelled to address some comments, many of which we feel are unfair and misguided. We suggest you read the other reviews which are more accurate. First, regarding the dock and the water. The lake is appropriate depth at the docks to get in and of kayaks, etc. People do not dive or jump off docks to get into any lake of which we are aware. You just lower yourself into the lake.. The water is still plenty deep for swimming right off the docks, using floats and boats, etc. As for the outdoor area and seating, please just take a look at the pictures. There is plenty of seating and room on the decks and dock areas outside. This comment simply makes no sense. As for the comment regarding inside the house needing a face life, again I am not sure what this guest is referring to, nor did they explain in their review. Look at the photos. No one has ever said they are not accurate. We have made several renovations in the house over the past year and are constantly making updates. This comment also makes no sense. As for pillows, this guest did not make us aware of any issues during their stay. We have extra we could have provided as a replacement if in fact they needed replacement. But to comment that every pillow was not acceptable is clearly just an excuse to complain. If anyone finds issues when they arrive, all they have to do is let us know. We are very responsive hosts and do our best to keep our guests happy. As for the third floor room, we have been renting this house for several years, and this is the first time we have gotten any comment regarding the ventilation in that room. There are 3 windows in that area as well as AC in the Summer. As for the comment regarding the kitchens and eating space, all pictures in the listing are accurate, and you can see for yourself. The main dining area downstairs has a large table, and there are more chairs around that room that can fit at the table, in addition to the island with 4 stools that is right next to the dining table. Please read our reviews, which contradict much of what this guest is saying about space. Here are a few quotes from some reviews. "This house is amazing there is so much room for everyone. The enormous kitchen island fit everyone around whether they were standing or sitting. " "Great location and a good house with plenty of room for large parties." "There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out and enjoy, especially the game room." Finally, I would like to address the cleaning. It does appear that this guest misunderstood what was asked of them. We do not expect our guests to spend a bunch of time cleaning the home. We simply ask that they leave it in the condition they would as if it was a friend's house. The cleaners take care of every single room, and the cleaning fee also includes the cost for the hot tub. As for linens, we do supply them for a very small charge if the guests do not want to bring their own. We do not include the cost in the fees since many guests prefer to bring their own and if we did charge in the fees, VRBO would add its fee and tax on top. This way guests do not have to pay for that if they want linens. We appreciate the positive comments but feel many of the negative ones are unfair. We have over 35 reviews, almost all 10/10, and many say the opposite of what this guest has suggested in their review. Most importantly, please let us know during your stay if there is anything you need. We are very responsive and work incredibly hard to ensure you have an enjoyable vacation in Lake Harmony.
