Hello Kathleen! We disagree that the unit was dirty. We clean it very thoroughly, but we are not brand new and we are not misrepresenting the property. There was certainly no mold on vents or anywhere else. We wash towels and bedding and dispose of older sheets and towels as they become too worn, but there may have been a discolored one put in your room, which we probably got rid of already. We are sorry you did not like the property.

We have to completely deny most of the statements in your review, because: 1) We responded to your message about check in instructions right away and the most that you waited was probably 5 minutes. We provide our phone number on VRBO and also provide a time frame to check in. Even though we do not provide smart locks and check in codes at this time. Guests call us and get proper attention to all requests at check in and during stays, because we do have onsite person at all times! We inform potential guests that it is a rustic vintage Hideaway motel / Ocean Suites around 75 ft. elevation above sea level w/short walk or drive to the beach & popular ocean front Canyon Rd. park with free parking & bathrooms.. It is a road, but all residents walk this road without any issues. We also did not misrepresent our property as a cottage, because we are not cottages, we are suites, which are indicative of our name. We sure wish you read the description attentively before you booked so you'd not get disappointed. 2) The unit you stayed in is has hard surface flooring in living room and bathroom and newer carpet in the bedroom, which is vacuumed and cleaned properly and even sanitized, so is the rest of the unit, even though it is not brand new and may be discolored in some areas, but clean. This is why we advertise it as rustic! The shower is actually newer and the location is in the lower building with plenty of free parking next to it. It is one of our most popular units because there are no stairs to the front door. All our suites have separate entrances from the outside like condos. We do not misrepresent the fact that our property is not brand new & our rates reflect it and are very competitive in the times of very high demand!! 3) We have one of the best locations and views in the neighborhood, because we are located in quite residential neighborhood away from busy street, we are very popular among people who know us and fell in love with our property & location, but guests have to exercise due diligence in terms of safety due to high elevation. 4) There are plenty of sitting space inside the suite, because not only that we have full kitchen and dining table, but we also have a double pull out couch and a regular couch. As to sitting outside we never misrepresent any common sitting areas in our ad, because we currently don't have them, Our suites are like condos with outside separate entrances. 5)We will have to contest your unfair review!!!!!
