Stunning solar powered Mountain View Cabin has everything you need for your stay in the Western Mountains of Maine. This cabin is nestled on a private wooded lot with amazing mountain views.
Located in beautiful Upton Maine, with close proximity to Lake Umbagog, Grafton Notch State Park, the AT trail system and the NH Border. Whether you are fishing, boating, hunting, hiking or sight-seeing, this cabin will not disappoint.
The cabin features fully appointed kitchen, 1st floor bedroom with a queen bed, large sleeping loft with a queen bed and a twin bed, pullout queen sofa bed and 1 full bathroom. It also has a screened in porch where you can relax, kick back and take in the breath-taking views.
Come experience solar powered off grid living at its best here is Upton Maine.
NOTE: Wi-Fi is not recommended for Work from home scenarios as it is satellite with limited bandwidth. It is great for use in checking daily activities, email or general use.

Amenities include propane hearthstone stove, hot/cold water, propane full size stove/oven, full size refrigerator. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, bowls, cups and utensils. Outside there is a stone firepit, picnic table, horseshoe pit and private grassy yard.

This is an amazing cabin. Off grid, quiet and relaxing. A great place to launch your exploration of Maines northwest area. I would comeback in a minute. It is a distance from stores and restaurants, plan accordingly.

Beautiful getaway stay

Amazing solar powered house with everything we needed and close to fun and challenging hikes of all lengths. Can’t wait to come back to do more hiking and take a paddle in the gorgeous lake just a few miles away. Great shops and pubs in Errol were a perfect way to spend the rainy afternoon. Will definitely be back!

Anniversary with Foliage!

Cabin was perfect for our trip to Grafton Notch State Park. Cabin has everything you need, and located in the middle of most hikes, falls, lakes and rivers. Had a great time!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was the perfect place for our getaway. It was meticulously outfitted, very clean and a great location for us. We were kayaking in Lake Umbagog and hiking at Grafton Notch State Park. It’s a lovely area to enjoy the outdoors.

Great little getaway cabin!

We had a short, but lovely stay at this cabin. Even though it was off the main road it felt very private and had a beautiful view. The back yard was well maintained and had a great firepit and grilling area. My favorite part was the screened in back porch. It was a great place to have coffee with the dog in the morning. The bed was comfy and everything was very clean. The limited bandwidth was not an issue for us. The location is ideal for Lake Umbagog and also some great little hikes in Grafton notch. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Trout Cabin!

Awesome small cabin in the best area of Maine for trout fishing this time of year. Beautiful view of the mountains. Conveniently located near the Magalloway, Androscoggin and Rapid rivers. Host was extremely responsive to questions. Will definitely return!

Quiet, relaxed and peaceful

We were looking for a quiet place in Maine and this place was perfect! We enjoyed local hikes, restaurants a few miles away, saw some moose at dusk and just hanging out and playing some board games! Very appreciative of our thoughtful hosts who were very responsive. We had a great time! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you

The Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for a short getaway after we were married- the cabin was absolutely immaculate, and is quaint with wonderful views. The weather we had was not the best, but with the screened in attached porch we were able to enjoy the storms and still be outside and unplugged. It was very close to several incredible hiking trails and falls, and was a beautiful scenic drive into Bethel for dinner. Keith and Marybeth were exceptionally responsive and thoughtful- we would love nothing more than to come back for another stay very soon!

Beautiful view and relaxing getaway

This cabin is perfectly located in mountains with stunning views of the mountains, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Peaceful, secluded and very quiet. Cabin is tastefully decorated with log cabin feel, all new appliances and extremely clean and comfortable. Several trails and lakes nearby. A little bit of a drive to nearby towns but well worth the ride taking in the stunning Mountain View’s. The owners could not be nicer and quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely return!!

Short and sweet<

What an incredible place, a solar cabin! Outfitted with quality linens, utensils and furnishings in a hunting motif. The owners have thought of everything! Less than 1/2 hour from Bethel but feels remote. We enjoyed hiking, some shopping, swimming in the lake but the best part was just being at the cabin, Thank you.

Beautiful View with Some Issues

What do you think The cabin is very comfortable and the view is quite beautiful. The areas around Upton are wonderful to drive around with many accessible hikes of varying difficulty. The nearby lake is wonderful as well as a terrific place to kayak. We were also bothered by the fact that the Wifi was not unlimited as the posting would indicate but had to be increased by the owners as soon as we got there and twice more, even though our usage was quite reasonable. In addition, the electricity went off three times requiring numerous visits by the owners. So, while the owners where quite responsive, we felt the posting was not entirely accurate and complete. Still, a physically stunning place to stay.

Great location

Great property with everything you could want. Location was ideal for walking and exploring this beautiful part of the USA. Really enjoyed the fact the property is off grid and powered by solar energy.

Loved it!

My boyfriend and I had such a great time staying here. The cabin has a terrific location with beautiful views, especially with the leaves changing color! It was the perfect place to unwind, and the house has everything you need. Very cool experience to live "off the grid" but to have solar power for basic needs. Overall we loved it and want to visit again! Thanks for everything.

Beautiful Place

Very comfortable, very warm, and cozy. Great location. Grafton's Notch is an amazing place right down the road. Highway 26 is rated one of the best roads to see fall foliage. Just really enjoyed it and had a great time. Thank you.

Relaxing in the Mountains

The view at this place is worth the price of admission. The cleanliness of the cabin was exceptional. Everything about it was fantastic, will definitely be renting again.
