"Right on the Water" vacation home in Mathews

This waterfront home sleeps 8 guests and sits on beautiful Put-In Creek, just 1 mile from downtown Mathews. The light-filled house has stunning water views and beautiful living spaces that are perfect for family gatherings. Enjoy days on the water swimming, paddling, boating or watching wildlife or in Mathews exploring shops, restaurants, and farmers markets. Spend the evenings sitting around a bonfire, playing ping pong or darts on the screened-in porch, or playing croquet and bocce.
The space
Guests will enjoy the spacious 3,400 sq. ft. home that has two distinct living spaces each with kitchens and bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate two families. The home has easy access to the water and pier, which are mere footsteps from the house. The spacious pier includes a floating dock where you can fish, catch crabs, swim, or tie up your own boat. There is a public boat launch just minutes away. Outdoor amenities include a fire pit, gas grill, two patios, picnic tables, ample outdoor seating, and an outdoor shower (with hot and cold water). A screened-in porch provides additional entertainment space with a ping pong table and dart board. The yard has ample space for outdoor activities (croquet and bocce). The town of Mathews is 1 mile away from this private riverside getaway and has restaurants, a farmer's market, fresh seafood, groceries, and boutiques. Plenty of parking is available to guests.

A change from the busy routine

The location is beautiful, and the house is very spacious. The town of Mathews is charming. A nice vacation where we could relax.

Quiet and Peaceful

My husband, sister in law and brother in law, and I all agreed that we would li w to come back and stay here again!! It was a peaceful treat for the senses. The house had a personality that invited tranquility. The eclectic furnishings grew more beautiful the longer we relaxed in them. The hummingbirds were an added treat. Everything was super clean and beautiful. Would highly recommend this place if you want to relax🥰🥰

Ready to return!

The property was everything as listed and more! The setting was serene and beautiful, quiet, and private. The house was lovely and had soooooo much space. There were plenty of games and puzzles as well as books available. The kitchen was a dream and equipped with everything imaginable and we were also able to do some fishing from morning to night thanks to the pier lighting. Susan was responsive and pleasant the grocery was less than 5 minutes away. We’re already planning our return.

Beautiful Spacious Waterfront Property

The house is open and airy and right on the water (sometimes you can catch sight of fish popping out of the water in a flash!) and it's beautiful on the large amount of outdoor lawn space and pier. There's lots of space-- great for two families because the upstairs is practically its own unit! It wasn't a dealbreaker, but the toilets and sinks weren't the cleanest. Otherwise, great experience. Host was accessible, kind, and accommodating. We highly recommend!

We are so glad that you enjoyed our house and our outside spaces near the water! Our cleaner is a super star, but our house is on well water which can make the toilets and sinks look colored because of mineral deposits.

Absolute treasure

The description almost undersells how amazing this home is. There was space enough for our adult family of 6 the spread out when a quiet work space was needed and every room was clean and well organized. The kitchen was with everything needed and extra towels and linens were available. The 10 minute drive to Haven Beach was convenient and the property itself offered plenty of room for relaxing on the dock, swing, patio or Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lovely and peaceful view of the inlet with fish, birds and crabs to enjoy it with. The owner was amazingly helpful and very responsive. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing property, wish we stayed longer.

The property was perfect for our group. Loved the private apartment that's separate from the rest of the house. The yard is truly amazing and the photos don't do the house and views justice. We just wish we had stayed longer and brought our boat. Susan was super nice...easy to check in and very clean. Couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Amazing home away from home

We can’t say enough about how wonderful this property was. Tucked away in a quiet town, the home on the water is beautiful. The dock is perfect for fishing or crabbing. There are so many comfortable places on the property to relax, play lawn games, or swing leisurely enjoying the view. This is the first place we have ever stayed that we are already talking about coming back next year. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful home.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home on the river. We had fun fishing and kayaking from the dock. Only ten minutes to Haven Beach. Owner is very responsive.

Best vacation home.

My family and I had the pleasure to stayed at that lovely property for short vacation, however the place from inside and outside was amazing. The place was very clean, and the water view was to die for. I have stayed in many places but none as beautiful like this one. We would definitely stay at that house again next summer.
