Harbor House is your own private waterfront retreat—an ideal escape for relaxation and recreation. This spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bath home offers 1,850 square feet of comfort, set on 2.5 serene acres. Every bedroom features stunning water views, creating a peaceful and picturesque experience from sunrise to sunset.

Step outside and enjoy the private pier, an expansive deck, and sweeping views of the water. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee at sunrise or unwinding as the sun sets, this home offers a truly unique vantage point for both.

For outdoor fun, Harbor House is fully equipped with 6 kayaks and a canoe (life jackets included), bikes, fishing poles, cornhole boards, a spikeball set, and crab pots. Paddle through calm waters, explore the scenic one-mile gravel road by bike or on foot, or simply relax and take in the surroundings at your own pace.

The oversized deck provides plenty of space for lounging, sunbathing, and gathering with family and friends. Nestled along Winter Harbor, which opens to the Chesapeake Bay, the property offers breathtaking views in every direction.
Prefer to stay indoors? Cozy up with a book or enjoy your favorite shows and movies on the Smart TV with DirecTV, or browse the Blu-ray collection—all while still taking in those beautiful water views. High-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi ensures you stay connected throughout your stay.

This place by far was the best we have traveled to, very clean and very nice furniture. You can tell they care about the quality of the home and furniture. The house is tucked away and private. If you want a great quiet getaway this is the place for you . We will be returning soon!

We had a wonderful time relaxing this weekend. The house is exactly how it looks in the pictures. However, the views are better than any picture can show! Sunrises and sunsets hit different on the water.We had plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The kayaks, bikes, and yard games were perfect. Buddy was great at responding to my questions. Views were fantastic! Loved the availability of kayaks and canoe with easy launch on the dock. Deck was spacious with plenty of seating for outdoor enjoyment. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels for a full weeks stay with a full house. Kitchen was very well furnished, all the pots/pans/dishes we needed to do a lot of family meals. It was really nice to have some basics (oil/sugar/flour/basic spices) on hand. The birding was fantastic, both on the water and in the woods. We are already planning when we might return! Communication with the host was fantastic and thorough to make arrival and departure a breeze.

This place was amazing for our family. My boys absolutely love the water and fishing. They were on the dock the majority of the time. They enjoyed learning how to do crabbing and going out in the kayaks. If we venture back to Virginia, we will stay again!

The view is absolutely beautiful. The home is very nicely decorated and included everything we needed plus more! We enjoyed our stay immensely! We were surrounded by wild life yet it was a short 10 minute drive to town. 5 stars! I highly recommend a stay at Harbor House.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy

House was the perfect choice for our family vacation!! The house itself is beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. Just as nice as the pictures, if not better. My wife and I are enjoying this season of our life as grandparents and getting to watch the families of our children grow. We currently live in Richmond, VA and have been married for 32 years. We have two daughters, two son in laws, and two grandchildren. We are blessed and thankful.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Our family fell in love with Mathews County and this home in particular as soon as we found it. We love our time together here at what we have affectionately named "Robin's Nest." We all learned how to kayak here, our grandkids loves to chase the crabs and catch fish, and we always enjoy watching the sunsets and sunrises that are different every day. The large deck, amazing water views, and the fire-pit keep us outside most of the time. If we aren't riding the bikes or fishing, we may be playing corn hole or napping. You can see the Chesapeake Bay from the private pier and kayak to the Bay easily. When we want a beach day, there are two beaches just minutes from the house. The peace and serenity we feel here has to be experienced to fully appreciate.

When we are ready to go somewhere, the town of Mathews is only 12 minutes away with restaurants, museums, antique stores, farmers markets, and various other places including a grocery store. Gwinn's Island is just a few minutes further away. Williamsburg is only 55 minutes away with so many attractions of it's own: Water Country USA, Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, and tons of outlet stores and restaurants. Yorktown and Jamestown are also easy day trips that are well worth the time.
