Ship's Watch is a beautiful cottage at end of the road. The area is quiet and beautiful. The hosts have thought of every need from extra blankets to numerous quality cooking resources. Looking forward to my next visit. Already miss the tranquility this home offers.

We loved, loved, loved everything about our stay at “Ships Watch on the Bay”—the pier, the wrap-around screened porch, the gourmet kitchen, and the BEAUTIFUL VIEWS of the Chesapeake Bay. The three bedrooms are very nice, too. Sunrises are worth getting up early; just go out in your pajamas and watch from the pier! The cottage could not have been more charming. We are still talking about it four months after our stay. We went in late August, but I feel certain we would love being there any month of the year!
I had personalized mugs made for everyone to use at the cottage and to keep as a memento of our stay.

The home is wonderful! View of the Chesapeake Bay is picture perfect. The location provides convenient access to many great points of interest along Virginia’s Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. The pier and outdoor amenities truly added to our experience. The home itself is lovely. Warm, cozy and the kitchen alone is very well appointed. Our family of two adults and four teens slept very comfortably. Our host, Lisa, was warm, gracious and very communicative. We are definitely looking to return to this home again.

Wonderful stay at Ships Watch on the Bay! Absolutely darling cottage with spectacular views, a fantastic screened porch, stylish and comfortable furnishings and bedding, and a fully equipped and modern kitchen. Lisa was so helpful and provided so many extras- like water, snacks, coffee, creamers, shampoo , lotion, etc .-which were very much appreciated. The neighbors are also so friendly with tips for fishing and crabbing. We loved our stay and look forward to returning!

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful vacation at the Ships Watch. The house was beautiful, clean, well stocked, convenient to local shops and restaurants. We spent lots of time on the large screened in porch watching the waves, the birds and enjoying the amazing bay breezes.Any questions we had were immediately answered.We will definitely be back

Great getaway!

House was very clean and well stocked, has everything that you would need for your vacation. The beds were super comfortable and had plenty of comfy pillows and blankets. Our Deltaville vacation.

Our vacation was about relaxing and fishing. Enjoyed every day doing just that. The house, Ships Watch on the Bay, had every thing you needed to have a good time.. I plan on going back again.

The house was absolutely beautiful! We really didn’t need to bring anything else besides food because Lisa kept the house super well stocked. The dock was so wonderful and we caught lots of blue crabs and fish right off the dock. Lisa was a very responsive host and made us feel right at home. We will definitely return to this property again!

Deltaville Delight

Weekend getaway did not disappoint! Stunning views on the water with private pier. Everything you need is there 
 fully stocked kitchen, games, books, bikes just to name a few. The host is easy to reach and communicate. Part of the blender was missing and Lisa had a new one at the house within a couple of hours. The beds are comfortable and we loved having the screened porch to relax for morning coffee or evening cocktails! Book it!!

Loved this experience! The view was spectacular! The house was a fantastic blend of old and new. Kitchen was well stocked and the chip jar on the counter was so welcoming. Linen and bathroom supplies were exceptional. The Bedroom options were perfect for an extended family vacation. The boys loved the dormer beds. The super soakers provided entertainment for the kids and adults! Bikes and kayaks, games and puzzles were enjoyed by everyone.The porch was our most favorite place to be together but we also enjoyed the dock experience. 5 Stars

Wonderful getaway

I highly recommend this location for a getaway. Lisa is a great communicator, from time of booking to check out. The views are amazing and so is the house. You can either lounge in the chairs in front of the bay or walk on the dock. All of the amenities you need are there. The bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows. We have stayed at several VRBO properties in different states and this is right at the top. Will definitely be back

Relaxing on the Bay

The property exceeded our expectations and was a wonderful getaway. We were looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a little quiet and the location was perfect. What I wasn’t expecting was the amazing sunrises. I made sure I was awake for each one. I would definitely rent again!

Beautiful property for relaxation and play!

We had a wonderful stay. Lisa is a great host who definitely thinks of all of the little things that boost an already 5 star accommodation up to a 5 star plus! She was quick to respond to the dingle question I had We’ll definitely look to stay here again, especially during warmer weather when we can take full advantage of all the property has to offer. The dogs lived it too!

Peaceful and Relaxing

Great property with amazing views and amenities on property. The town of Deltaville had all your essentials and the drive to and from Williamsburg/Yorktown, etc. is not that far. Great place to stay and the experience with the host was outstanding. The home had everything you needed and the wrap around porch and open windows provided a view of the bay at all times.

Looking for Privacy - Avoid like the plague.

We went for our anniversary and found the house to be very lovely, however, hours after settling in we wished we had never booked. A man,Todd, who lives next door: decided to mow in the dark. This took Lisa the “host” two in person visits to quiet him for the night. We assumed that the rest of the trip would be okay, since we were already paying. No, more of the same. Blaring music the entire next day and evening. Instead of the “host” apologizing she said it might be better if we left. I said no thank you because it would be too far to drive at night. I then called VRBO to explain the horrendous situation. I will never rent from this town again.

Quiet getaway in a well-appointed home

We had a nice relaxing vacation with our two small dogs at this property. The screened porch was especially great, hanging out with the dogs who were barking at boats, drinking coffee and reading while listening to the water. The house is very well furnished and comfortable. The host was very responsive to emails. The only caveat is that Deltaville itself is very small, and the few restaurants are only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, maybe Sunday, with the exception of the Chinese restaurant, which was mid at best. All that to say, be prepared to bring your own food and cook, if you're staying early in the week. There is a small grocery store nearby, and kitchen had everything we needed, so that was no problem for us. All in all, a great stay in a tiny quiet town.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Location....Location....Location! It's a rare opportunity to be able to stay on the very tip of Stingray Point in Deltaville! In 1608, Captain John Smith was stung by a cownose stingray while fishing with his men at the mouth of the Rappahannock River. He was seriously injured by the sting and even gave orders to his men as to the disposal of his body should he perish. He recovered and named the point Stingray Point.

The Stingray Point Lighthouse was built in 1858 at the entrance to the Rappahannock River. It was deactivated in 1965 and dismantled shortly thereafter. The pilings are still in place and are now a buoy. The Stingray Point Lighthouse can be seen from Ships Watch. A replica of the lighthouse was built at the Safe Harbor Marina in Deltaville 1.6 miles west of the original site.

We love dogs! We allow up to 2 dogs 50 pounds and under with a small non refundable pet fee. The pets cannot be left unattended in the home unless they are in a crate. They must be house broke and not chew. If you have any questions send Lisa a message.
