I love staying here. It was my second time. The cabin is cozy, cute, and comfortable. I love the view off the back porch. I've had questions and the property manager always gets back to me promptly. I'm sure I'll be back!

This is a very nice cozy cabin with the waterway right out over the porch. It is in good condition with amenities provided. It is about 25’ x 25’ and the main bedroom has one bed which can sleep 2 and the other a bunk bed which can sleep 3.Total living space might be tight for 5 adults though there is a large porch. There is some minor road noise occasionally during the day but none at night.

The location on the canal gave us a picturesque scene greeting us each day. Host was responsive to an inquiry about network access (bring info to access your own streaming service.)Clean home, ample kitchen utensils and pans. Will keep this in mind for future visits!

My husband and I had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful cozy cottage. There is a lot of sights to see at this centrally located rental. We would defintely stay again and recommend this place. It was very clean and comfortable. We visited many historical sites, fished off the dock, grilled, and sat by the firepit in the evenings. The view is beautiful!

Great time visiting with family

We come up every year. We had extra family this year so we rented two cottages and were able to go back and forth between the two during the day. This cottage had the dock and fishing access. The other had close access to town and bridge view on the water. We rented a pontoon boat and went back and forth between the two. Had a camp fire and smores at this cottage. We always enjoy visiting with family around the fire. My son had his kayak for people to use. One of my brothers lives locally and he was able to stop by and visit and do some fishing also. The kids love it here and look forward to it every year. We always pick up and clean it before we leave. I recommend the place. Good location and close to many local attractions. We had 3 adults and two children stay at this cottage comfortably and it worked out great.

Beautiful - we’ll be back

What a beautifu cottage! It had everything we needed for the week - and more. The host has really made sure to have all the neccecities onsite, plus some sweet extra touches. LOVED have a washer and dryer (that was a bonus for us b/c I hadn't noticed that in the description), and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is quite large, which was great because I tend to overpack so there was plenty of space to store our belongings (plus lots of closet space). The lake is gorgeous and although we didn't end up swimming we could have - looks like a nice, sandy bottom by the dock. The dock is perfect for kiddos to fish - my 7 year old caught 47 kid-sized fish over just a few hours and was thrilled. Having morning coffee on the large back porch was my favorite time of every day. Overall, would definitely recommend and we'll be back in the future!

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds, good closet space and essentials provided. Kitchen stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful back yard and view. Could have used a back porch light since we arrived late. We would recommend this rental if you are in the area.

Lovely small house in a great location! It was private, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities for a relaxed weekend. We loved the chance to be by the water, yet close to town and easy access to the rest of the peninsula. Perfect for a couple, would be ok for a small family.

Inviting, homey cottage with the best views!

My sister and I traveled to the UP to enjoy a quiet and outdoorsy week. We found perfection at the Beautiful Lakefront Cottage just outside of Hancock. Clean and neat as a pin with personal touches that made us feel welcomed. We especially enjoyed the back porch with the gorgeous view of the lake. Thank you, Erica!

Michigan Tech Family Weekend

We were visiting our son his first year at Tech and this was the perfect place to stay. It had everything we needed and a very nice view. I loved the character of the cottage. There was attention to detail as well. I will definitely look for this rental again in the future.

Relaxing base camp for exploring the Keweenah!

Spent 2 nights and slept soundly. Beautiful view! Nice location for anchoring our waterfall tour, dinner in Hancock, and trips to the old central mine area, Fort Wilkins, and the night sky at McClain State Park.
