Bass Lake Heights - retreat with a million-dollar view and gateway to Yosemite.

* Large fully equipped 2 story home on 1.4 acres located in Bass Lake Heights, the Sierra Nevada forest foothills.
* Located only 3.5 miles up from Highway 41 at Oakhurst, just 19 miles to the Yosemite Park entrance.
* A short 3 minutes’ drive to the southwest side of Bass Lake where most of the public recreation picnic areas are located. (Folding chairs are in the garage for lakeside use).
* Large patio deck with stunning uninterrupted views to the west.
* Sleeping arrangements for up to 10, with 4 bedrooms and a roll-away.
* All facilities are provided - sheets, towels, cooking utensils, many plates - cups - bowls, glassware - small- large + wine, dishwasher, large refrigerator with ice maker, cooktop gas stove, convection. oven, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, tea, coffee, flour, sugar, wide choice of cooking condiments.
* Two BBQs are located on the deck, one a 5 burner, the other a smaller two burner.
* For winter months, a fireplace in the lounge and another in the master bedroom, plus a LPG firepit on the patio deck.
* Air conditioning and heating: Two large units, one dedicated for the upper level, and another for the entrance level floor.
* Power Outages are quite common anywhere in the Sierra Nevada foothills, sometimes for extended periods of time. While few properties have back-up generators, we have invested in a high quality one that we have regularly serviced.
* Two interior dining areas for up to 6 people in each, plus a six-seat patio dining table on the patio deck.
* Smart TVs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms.
* WiFi.
* Laundry room, office, hobby desk, many games including darts in garage, large chess board in the lounge, plus board games/cards and puzzles and children's games located in the lounge cabinet drawers.
* Enclosed garage, plus wide-open spaces for additional vehicle parking. Ample parking for a boat with easy driveway access off Road 426 for towing.
* Many hiking trails, great fishing areas, boat rentals at The Forks (3 minutes’ drive away).
* Many local dining choices: At The Forks, across the lake in Pine's village (12-14 minutes’ drive) or in Oakhurst (7-8 minutes’ drive).

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin, even though the weather didn’t fully cooperate and it rained quite a bit. The cabin itself was fantastic, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. All of the appliances worked perfectly, and we had very few issues during our stay, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time. John was especially great to work with; he was very responsive, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to help make our Christmas stay special. Despite the rain, we still made great memories and would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy and well-cared-for place to stay.

Lovely back porch

We lived on the covered back porch when we were at the house. Nice cool breeze blowing most of the time, great place to watch the wildlife, ate our dinner meals out there! Close to Yosemite National Park. Well equipped kitchen, great starter package of the essentials.

Family and friends with a view

This was a great place for our group of 9. The deck and view were amazing. The house was very clean and had evening we needs for cooking and hanging out. The host was very helpful and readily available. Easy to get to Oakhurst and the lake. Definitely recommend this house for your group.

The Family Great Vacation

It was close to all that we wanted to see. Short drive to Bass Lake, Ca and Yosemite. We also went to Sequoia National Forest. Perfect spot to see all we had planned.

Wonderful stay

Came down from Arizona for the weekend and had a blast. House has a beautiful view, very close to the lake and Yosemite. Great place to stay very cozy and warming. John was very helpful and kind with information about stuff in the area as well. 10/10 would stay again.

Beautiful view and very large space

We had a total of 8 people staying in the house. There were plenty of bathrooms for that amount of people. Check in was easy, the host was very communicable and helpful. I appreciated the fact that they allow family gatherings and small events because I was able to have a family dinner after our small wedding in Yosemite. I do think that there are a few things that could be updated, but overall for the price and location and space it was WELL worth it. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Beautiful View and Comfortable Accommodations

We stayed here for a large family Thanksgiving gathering, and the accommodations were very comfortable. The beds were comfortable to sleep in, and the views were gorgeous. Unfortunately, the kitchen appliances (stove and oven) were pretty dated, which made cooking a bit challenging as they took a very long time to cook in/on. The floor plan is very open and was perfect for entertaining. We would consider staying here again.

Nice place

The host responded in a timely manner and he was very informative I really appreciated that. The house was perfect for all of us. It was a little far from Yosemite entrance but, I was aware of it. The house had everything we needed for our stay . We definitely recommend this place.

Great space for Yosemite

Great property. The view is beautiful. The house is a great size for extended family. The only downside is there isn't a safe space to walk nearby. The house is on a two-lane winding road with no sidewalks. But would stay here again.

Excellent house for families to get together, for kids to run around. House had 2.5 bath, which was important - with a jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms. Very comfortable to stay in. 10 min drive to the supermarket. We were able to drive up to Badger Pass for skiing for the kids from this house. Reasonable prices with reasonable cleaning fees.

Absolute Perfection!

We traveled to Yosemite for our eldest son’s graduation! I looked at multiple properties and after communicating with the host, we felt confident that it would be the right choice! I was correct

the home exceeded our expectations in every way! From the mountain bluebird, deer and incredible gray fox that came to visit, the view from the deck was spectacular! The home was extremely spacious and our family of three teens were able to enjoy bonding time and then they had privacy within the upstairs bedrooms, bathroom and sitting area! The hosts are excellent communicators and extremely helpful! The property is close to Yosemite ant minutes from Bass Lake! My teens and husband said that it doesn’t deserve 5 out of 5 stars but instead they give it 10!!!!!!!!! I will definitely book again when we return to California from our home in Florida!
