Checkout weekly discounts! Formerly a Bed & Breakfast. Gorgeous historic Stickley Craftsman House with giant windows, soaring ceilings and loads of charm. Free parking. High-end, casual elegant furnishings. Comfortable gathering spaces for groups. Living spaces bathed in natural light with panoramic garden views. Spacious 5 bedroom, 3 full bath house. Living room, dining room, den, kitchen, garden and patio. Fabulous location on a quiet street, walking distance to Braddock and King St. Metros/Amtrak and historic Old Town. 5 minutes to Reagan National Airport.
Bedrooms are located in 3 different wings of the house, which provides lots of privacy. 2 bedrooms are on the main floor, 2 bedroom are on the 2nd floor, in the front of the house, and the master bedroom is on the 2nd floor in back of the house.
No parties or events permitted.
Laundry in basement. Tea and coffee provided. Tons of bath towels in the 1st and 2nd floor linen closets. Toiletries provided. Irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, curling iron.

This home provided a great place for our family to stay for our DC tour vacation. We LOVED that it was so close to the incredible Alexandria Old Town shops and restaurants.

Very relaxing, accommodating, warm and welcoming.

The house is situated in a beautiful historic neighborhood, very clean and accommodating. The kitchen is well stocked with every dishes and cookware, you could possibly need. All appliances upgraded, nice having access to washer and dryer. My family, and I would definitely stay again if in the area. The host was very responsive and friendly.

We had a perfect girls’ weekend at Layla’s place! The house was in a great location, very clean and well-laid out for the four of us. It was spacious and had everything we needed. Layla was also a great host, very responsive and helpful!

Great DC home

We had a lovely time and great stay! Plenty of room for everyone and ample space where we could spend time together or have some space if our own. Host was very responsive to messages and checked in with us throughout the stay. Would recommend!

Christmas gathering

A perfect place to stay for 2 families coming to DC to spend the holiday with another part of the family. The house offered two wonderful rooms to gather, do a puzzle, watch football and other programs. Plus a wonderful dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped and met our needs. We also loved that the home was about a 10 minute easy walk to the Metro. A great trip!

Graduation Weekend

Layla is an incredible host! We cannot recommend staying here enough, we had a multi-generational trip for a college graduation and everything about the stay was great. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of room for everyone. Clean, organized house was comfortable and well equipped for our needs, do not hesitate to stay here!

Thanksgiving 2025

Great property for family and friends to come enjoy Alexandria and Washington DC! The house is a great size plenty of room for people to spread out and decompress. Then perfectly located to enjoy old town, and hit up the amazing sites around DC. Great neighborhood for walks and access to metro! Host was great very communicative and met us off to start our journey and walked us through everything with the house! Highly recommend

Second Time Just As Perfect As First Time

This is our family’s second time staying in this big, beautiful house. It accommodated two sets of families with children under 12 wonderfully. Everything we needed to be comfortable and make multiple meals was provided. Excellent communication with the very kind host. Highly recommend.

Graduation and family reunion

Graduation and family reunion! 5 Star+ The house was spacious, comfortable, and clean with two living rooms and a beautiful outdoor space. The kitchen was very well stocked with the most spices I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental. We were near a metro and many great restaurants. Highly recommended and I would stay there again.

Fashion Show in DC area

We were part of a fashion show being held in Alexandria and needed a place close to the venue that could accommodate a large group. This house was amazing and spot on. It was immaculate, perfect location, had some of the nicest decorations and amenities I’ve ever had in a VRBO, and the host was extremely attentive and even ended up joining us for the fashion show. This house was huge and worked perfectly for the group we had. Highly recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.

it's a beautiful house in a quiet tree lined neighborhood. everyone enjoyed socializing in the living room, playing cards in the dining rooms and drinking wine in the backyard. Layla was quick to answer my text messages and fix the very minor issues that arose. I highly recommend this place.

5 star stay

I needed somewhat last minute accommodations for my family of 8. The 5 bedroom and 3 bath was perfect for all of us. The house is beautifully decorated, the sofas and oversized chairs with ottomans were super comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable. This house had everything a family would need and the location was central. I appreciated the easy and quick communication with Layla (host). If you’re reading this review and contemplating on booking the property, all the positive reviews are still spot on. Probably one of the best house rentals I’ve stayed in.

Great weekend reunion place

Property is beautiful, just like represented in the pictures. Very well stocked, lots of homelike amenities. Great for having a group of friends get together for the weekend with 5 bedrooms that have real beds. However parking is not available for nor does the neighborhood welcome parties or having a number of people over for dinner. That said there is plenty of room for a large group to spend the weekend at the house, 2 gathering areas with lots of seating, lots of TV's available, big dining room table and a real cook's kitchen. Layla is wonderful, meets you to introduce the house and make sure you are comfortable. Exit "chores" are taking out the trash, starting a load of dirty towels (leave the sheets Yay!) and starting the dishwasher, all very reasonable. Lovely neighborhood, walking distance to lots of fun things, property in excellent condition. Highly recommend.

Perfect for Big Families - Large AND Cozy

Our extended family had to make a last minute trip to Alexandria and were scrambling to find a spot that would accommodate all 12 of us. The Rosemont property was PERFECT. It held all of us very comfortably. The layout was great for each family having privacy when needed, and had two separate common areas allowing kids and adults to split off. There's not an uncomfortable spot in this place-- huge couches, big chairs, and supportive mattresses. The kitchen has practically anything you need to cook meals large and small. The dining area held all of us for our family dinners. The washer and dryer access was also a big plus. Its location is perfect, next to parks, quick drives to grocery stores and nearby attractions, yet is very quiet and a great area to take long walks. Our host was super helpful and struck the perfect balance of being available, yet respectful of our privacy. Highly recommend, especially for large gatherings.
