1912 Farmhouse has large, covered porch & fire pit! Near Casino & The Pinnacle

We love having visitors to our farmhouse. Although it is rare that we meet them it feels like family and friends have been to visit by the communications we have via text. We love to hear about their visit here in Bristol. It is always like receiving a gift when they are happy during their visit. I (Geri) grew up in a big house where we always had visitors. My aunt (who raised me) was a teacher. She would have young women from out of the area live with us while they did student teaching, among other visitors. My grandmother always said you must have clean beds and good food for your guests. It is extremely important to me that the house is clean especially beds. I don’t cook for our farmhouse guests but occasionally leave fresh vegetables, homemade jams, jellies and apple butter during season. I do cook for a lot of family and friends especially when we all gather here to make apple butter. I also teach young family members how to can food and make biscuits and cornbread. So traditions can continue.

We love it because it is in the country but minutes away from Bristol, Virginia and Tennessee. You can set on the porch at night to hear the night sounds of birds and animals. Be at the Pinnacle to shop, the Casino or the Race track in minutes. Not counting all the restaurants and other shopping not far away. Bristol can really put on a music show which they do every year. We are very close 1.9 miles to the hospital and I 81 but not close enough to have to listen to traffic. We are also close to the airport.
