Our Quiet Surprise in the Suburbs private home is a 3 bedroom private home in a residential neighborhood conveniently located in Essex, VT only 10 minutes from I 89 & 10 minutes from the Champlain Valley Expo Center. Full kitchen with dishwasher, 2 full baths, includes washer/dryer in the finished basement, attach, 4 season sun-room, outdoor grill & fire pit along with gardens galore!
Only 15-20 minutes from Burlington Airport, downtown Burlington & lakefront & UVM Medical Center. Our 3 BIG hiking mountains (Bolton,Smuggs, Stowe) just a 20-30 minute drive. Relax in our backyard oasis with stunning gardens, fire pit, & badminton. Lounge at our outdoor bar or in our enclosed 4 seasons porch. 5-10 minutes to shops, dining, breweries, and more!

Nice Stay Near Burlington and Stowe

Perfect location to visit UVM in Burlington and to take advantage of the sites in Stowe! Near food, kayaking and other outdoor adventures! Host is attentive and super friendly! House has N amazing garden oasis to enjoy with your morning coffee or evening dinner.

Perfect for a ski getaway

Quiet Surprise was exactly what we were looking for for our family ski getaway. It is in a very quiet neighborhood with good proximity to several ski mountains as well as downtown Burlington. The property was well appointed and plenty of space for our family of four. Meg responded promptly to all of our questions. We would rent here again in the future!

Everything we needed

We stayed here for our niece’s wedding. Much better than a hotel. The house had everything we needed. Very comfortable and convenient. Gorgeous yard! It was roomy enough to be able to all be together or find a quiet spot to be by yourself. We all really felt at home there. I would rent it again!

Wonderful!

This was the perfect house for our group of 4. My husband and I had the master bedroom with private bath. Our friends each had a queen bedroom and shared a common bathroom. The house was plenty big. The backyard is beautiful with all the flowers and the fire pit. The host keeps a very clean house and even leaves a little chocolates next to the beds. She also left us a bottle of wine. It's a very quiet neighborhood and only 20 minutes to Burlington. I would definitely stay again!

Quiet

We had a great time at Megan’s property. We were celebrating a late Thanksgiving dinner and the accommodations were great for us. The house was in a quiet family neighborhood. Megan was very responsive in any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

AMAZING Garden

Megs house was in a great, quiet, neighborhood in Essex Junction. A short uber ride away from amazing hikes, restaurants, etc. I loved staying here to prep my daughter to move into her second year of college. The garden blew me away, a small taste of Japan and so many gorgeous flowers, plants. The house itself was great. Nice spacious kitchen for cooking and having a relaxing glass of wine.

You will notice the peaceful energy when you walk through the front door. Influenced by Thai culture which connects you back to the earth, the flowers and yourself.

Enjoy a game of outdoor raquetball in the back yard.  Grill a nice meal in the backyard, eat at the large table for 6, enjoy an evening fire in the firepit (wood is supplied) while you are surrounded by the activity of birds, and the earth's friends.
