Welcome to resort-style desert living at AVONDALE ESTATE, an exclusive, luxurious home in a quiet, gated, private country club community in Palm Desert. It is conveniently located central to all that the Palm Springs area has to offer.

THE HOME IS A MARRIAGE OF COMFORT & PLEASURE WITH DESIGNER ACCENTS: From the original framed artwork adorning the walls, the plush custom-made furniture and tasteful interior designer décor, to the variety of well-appointed rooms in addition to
the soothing pleasures enjoyed while using the large patio/pool/spa/lawn areas, it feels like you're living in your own private resort. The beauty here is in the details, which provide an upscale environment to fully relax in and enjoy with your family and/or friends.

HOME. This expansive 3-bedroom / 5-bathroom home (3,800 sq. feet) sits on a 1/2-acre extensively landscaped property with panoramic mountain views! The home is a very welcoming space, starting with a paver stone driveway which allows parking for six cars (+3-car garage) leading up to an exterior atrium entry featuring a garden and two massive raw granite boulders with water gently cascading down their sides.

GREAT ROOM. Once inside, the house unfolds into an airy open space filled with sunlight. The vaulted exposed wood ceiling brings a warmth to the open-space interior of the combined large Living Room and Dining area. This Great Room also includes a gas burning fireplace and a custom granite-top bar with a sink and mini-fridge (liquor, barware & crystal glasses supplied). Tasteful furnishings, including comfortable soft leather chairs & ottomans, generous-sized and plush sofa & matching chairs, and an elegant dining table, chairs and buffet, creates a rich ambiance. Windows and multiple glass sliding doors highlight a stunning view of the huge landscaped backyard with a showcase Hollywood-style pool, large lawn, palm trees, and the desert mountains beyond.

KITCHEN. The kitchen has every modern convenience available as well as a wide variety of cooking ware, spices & oils, and cooking supplies to make a private chef (available with notice) or all family cooking times easy. A double oven, gas cooktop and plenty of counter space set the stage for some savory moments to be produced. Additionally, there is a center island with a prep sink, a large stocked pantry, and of course the necessary oversized refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Mikasa dinnerware, bowls, silverware, glasses, stemware, and extensive serving platters/bowls fill up the custom cabinets & drawers, providing a truly “everything you need” for great dining experiences.

FAMILY & MEDIA ROOM. Adjacent to the Kitchen is a casual dining space with a nice outdoor view, plus there is a breakfast bar that allows for additional seating. This casual dining space then opens up to a Family & Media Room. It has very comfortable designer furniture including a couch, two leather recliners, over-sized floor pillows, which complement the room’s built-in electronics & TV, another bar (complete with movie & game-night treats), a gas burning fireplace and a full-bathroom. The corner of this room also has a built-in granite top desk with a wireless printer and compatible fast Wi-Fi. Four large-panel sliding glass doors (with remote controlled electronic shades) look out to the gorgeous backyard and to the mountains.

MASTER SUITE. The spacious Master Suite has electric shades on all windows & sliding glass door and includes a large walk-in closet with a make-up vanity, a bathroom with a long double-sink vanity, a shower, toilet & bidet, and a separate tub. Unique to the Master Suite is the ultimate sleeping luxury, a Duxiana split-king bed with remote controlled silent motorized adjustable settings (on each side) for your head, back and legs, enabling you to have the perfect sleep. And if sleeping isn’t on the agenda, a 80-inch Smart-TV is available for your viewing pleasure.

BEDROOMS. Second and Third bedrooms, plus the Family Room with a designer queen sofa bed, are all ensuite. The 2nd Bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet, and a 50-inch TV. The 3rd bedroom has a trundle set of twin beds, mirrored closet, and a 32-inch TV. If needed, the Family Room easily converts into a 4th bedroom with a custom queen-sized sofa sleeper bed with a very comfortable pillow-top mattress, there is also a walk-in closet and a full bathroom with shower.

BACKYARD RESORT. The expansive private backyard with lush landscaping & a very large lawn area, features an oversized (15 x 50 feet) Hollywood style salt-water pool (heating addl.) fed by streaming water fountains. The pool is surrounded by a large pool deck area with stunning panoramic mountain views. Whether it is enjoying lawn games (croquet, bean bag toss, Frisbee, badminton - all equipment supplied), a healthy swim, playing games in the pool, relaxing on the pool pads and chaise loungers, or a soak in the spa during sunset, having a cookout & drinks at the outdoor granite-top bar with built-in barbecue grill and sink, this resort-style backyard is a true delight!

CONVENIENCES. Practical conveniences include electric remote-controlled exterior shade screens on east facing windows & sliding glass doors. An energy efficient three-zone climate control system allows for total custom comfort throughout the entire house. An additional convenience is the large 3-car garage with epoxy floor. It has a Tesla wall charging system, built-in storage cabinets, a wine refrigerator, a second refrigerator, and work bench.

AVONDALE ESTATE is perfectly located for guests to enjoy the best in entertainment, sports, shopping and dining in the area, all within a 10 to 20-minute drive. Among these includes the high-end shopping and fine dining of The Shops of El Paseo (similar to Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive), The River shopping center with its many cafes, restaurants and movie theaters, and thriving Downtown Palm Springs. The area is a golfer’s paradise with over 100 courses. OPTIONAL: The home does come with optional private access to the country club (golf, tennis/pickleball court, fitness center and dining privilege's) via a monthly membership fee paid directly to the club.

It is important to us that your stay at our home to be as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. AVONDALE ESTATE is situated in a country club residential community where it is essential to respect our neighbors. No loud outside noise is permitted after 10pm. $1000-$5000 fines will be levied by the desert cities for breaches of any Ordinances. We ask our renters to be considerate of the property and to the neighbors.

CLEANING: House cleaning is available anytime during your stay. This can be arranged and paid directly with our cleaning crew. A required one-time house cleaning following your stay is a $500 fee paid via VRBO.

AGE REQUIREMENT: We require that the primary booking guest be at least 30 years of age.

SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed inside the house or in the garage. However, smoking is allowed everywhere outdoors and ashtrays are provided. A cigar humidor is supplied in the home (Family Room bar).

UTILITIES & POOL HEATING: A separate $1,500.00 monthly Utilities & Pool/Spa Heating Deposit is required via check or Zelle to be paid directly to the owner per the Guest Agreement. Any unused balance of the Utility & Pool/Spa Heating Deposit is refunded back to the guest.

DEPOSIT: A 50% deposit is required to hold the reservation, with the deposit being refundable up to 60-days prior to guest arrival date.

HOUSE AGREEMENT: House rental agreement must be signed to complete the reservation and gain access to the home. Owner will send agreement for digital signature. By placing a reservation you are accepting the terms and conditions of our house agreement posted on the VRBO website.

COUNTRY CLUB DINING & GOLF: Renters can enjoy access to all of the Avondale Country Club's dining rooms, bars, fitness center, and tennis/pickleball court. Golfing privilege's at the country club allow for six rounds of golf (including cart) during your stay at a cost of $125 per round to be paid directly at the pro shop.

Beautiful getaway

Jim was a great host. The house has a lovely view from the patio which is very nice. The location was perfect as we enjoy going to Palm Springs to LaQuinta for golf and hiking. Thank you, Jim, for rescuing our vacation!

We rented Zanzibar road property for five weeks to celebrate a special occasion. You will not be disappointed. Extensive perfectly landscaped site, luxurious well appointed pool probably 75 foot long. Spacious rooms, especially central area with living, dining room, bar, in highest quality furnishings. Everything is immaculate. My wife loved walking the Avondale Estate streets doing loops of more than two miles past fine homes on quiet streets. Avondale Estates are located in very accessible area to reach everything in Coachella Valley. You do not always find a fine rental home like this! Enjoy!

It was so great to be in such a fabulously decorated and comfortable home!!! The pantry and refrigerator was wonderfully stocked up for us upon arrival!! Surprises were the adjustable electric bed, the Toto toilet, the 80 inch tv, the comfortable lounge chairs and being two steps out of our bedroom and into the pool!!!The host was the best we have ever had!!Any little problem or question we had was responded on immediately and fixed for us!!!Jim Steers was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!! Judy and Mell highly recommend this fantastic home!!!!

Perfect for us

This home was perfect for us. We stayed for a month. We had some friends and family visit us for a few days each. The guest bedroom is very comfortable and well accompanied. The third bedroom would be more suitable for a child or a single adult. The home is decorated out of a fashion magazine. Jim was our host and is also the owner. He met us upon our arrival with a glass of champagne and appetizers. His Explanation of the workings of the house was thorough and complete.We sensed from the get-go that he was wanted individuals that would treat this property as it was their own. We liked that. If you’re looking for privacy, luxury and an amazing view, this is it.
