Experience the ultimate Emerald Coast getaway at Beach Retreat Cottage 116, a charming and newly renovated vacation home in the exclusive Cottage Retreat gated community off Scenic Gulf Drive. Just steps from a private beach area reserved exclusively for residents and guests, this 1800 SF, two-story home offers unparalleled comfort and convenience. With four spacious bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and room for 10 guests, this cottage is the ideal choice for families and groups.

The upstairs main living area features a 75" HDTV, a modern kitchen with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, and a dining area perfect for family meals. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets from Adirondack and rocking chairs on the upper balcony. The master suite includes a king-size bed, 65" HDTV, and a large bathroom with walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. The lower level has a large foyer leading to three additional bedrooms (King bedroom, Queen bedrom and a full bed with triple Twin bunk bed) and a laundry room.

Enjoy the convenience of a dedicated two-car driveway and additional nearby community parking. Less than a mile from several dining options, including Pompano Joe's, Kenny D's and Captain Dave's on the Gulf. Just three miles from Destin Commons and the Silver Sands Premium Outlet Mall, each with pedestrian-friendly outdoor environments, children's play areas, dozens of shops and even more dining options.

Cottage Retreat amenities include a seasonally heated pool, hot tub, grilling area and fitness center. Check-in is at 4 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. This property has a minimum age requirement of 25+ for renters and allows a small dog with a $250 non-refundable pet fee. We also offer monthly rates for stays during our winter season.

The location of this property is perfect! It was so nice being able to walk across the street to beautiful Miramar Beach or to walk the few steps to the pool. The house does have a beach wagon, chairs and umbrellas, which I don't think is listed on the site so that was a pleasant surprise. The house had everything we needed and was absolutely beautiful! Thanks for a memorable and relaxing stay!

A Great Time in Miramar Beach

The home was even better than the pictures and description provided. Newly renovated and extremely clean. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and those staying were exceptionally nice. The management group was fantastic and very accommodating. We had a couple of questions and they were very quick and helpful. Overall a great experience and we are planning to do it again.

Fabulous Family Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cottage was perfect for our Beach Vacation. Our grandchildren had a blast. Plenty of space for the 9 of us. The triple bunk bed was a favorite. Tha house was very clean and sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck in the evening after the beach was very relaxing. The gated entrance gave a nice sense of privacy. The beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and wagon to carry everything in made the quick trip across the street to the Private beach very convenient. We rented a motorized cart and got around without any issues. The Pool was fun and big. Plenty of lounge chairs and shade. We absolutely LOVED the Beach. White clean sand. Beautiful Blue clear water. Will come back again.

Perfect for our family

Beach retreat 116 was excellent for our family vacation. The house was clean for the most part. There are some stains on the carpeted stairs but you can tell it's from being in a high traffic area. We tried using the jetted tub but I don't think it's been used for a very long time because black specs started coming out of the jets. Those two things are minor to me. The location was perfect. The beds were comfortable and clean. We loved that we all had our own bathrooms. Anytime I had a question or issue, I would text the management company and they were quick to respond and very polite. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely rebook in the future.

Lots of pillows. There is some general wear and tear to the property, but nothing out of the ordinary. There are some beach chairs, sand toys, umbrellas and a cart. Want to rent a bike? - they drop if off at your door. There could be more plates and utensils. But as for cooking, it's got a decently stocked kitchen.

We have been renting in this area for years and specifically in the Beach Retreat community because we love it so much. This is a house that we will definitely be renting again! Everything was very clean, the layout was wonderful (we had two small families staying), and the location is perfect. The community & pool are beautiful as well. We had one minor issue with being able to access the house (the internet went out which was out of their control), we called Glass Casa and someone answered right away and gave us an emergency code to use so we were back in the house within 5 minutes! They also sent someone out right away to check the internet. We were very impressed with the resolution to what could have been a bigger problem. Looking forward to future stays!

Check in and check out was a breeze and customer service was very responsive. Would rent again!

LOVED THIS STAY!

My family, a few friends, and I came down to Florida, for the first time since the pandemic, and we absolutely had the most amazing stay here! From the location, to the amenities, to the communication; it was all great! The only problem we ran into during our stay was the parking situation. You are only given 2 parking spaces and permits for each rental. We had 3 cars and had rented a golf cart. So we ended up needing to buy 2 extra parking spaces for the extra vehicles. The community offers extra parking spaces, but the office is closed on weekends, which made it difficult to get ahold of them to actually buy the parking permits Saturday and Sunday. After emailing all weekend, and frantically calling to get ahold of someone, while risking our cars getting towed for those 2 days; but as soon as they opened on Monday, we had our parking passes printed and ready as soon as we got up in the morning! The rest of the trip went smoothly and would definitely recommend this to all that are coming to Destin, Miramar area!

Destin Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great and the rental company was extremely responsive and pleasant to work with during booking and during our stay. THe house, however, needs some TLC. The carpet on the stairs is very soiled. The kitchen is not very well stocked with pans/baking dishes etc.. Glass Casa did bring a set of pyrex to the house at our request. The slipcovers on chairs need washed or replaced. The dryer vent was not attached to the dryer so I attached that vent. Also, the dishwasher is not bolted to the cabinet - it would almost "fall out" when opening the door. This could be a lovely vacation home with some paint, new flooring and general repair. Again, though, Glass Casa was great to work with; they simply need to pass on to the owner of the house the need for some refurbishing.

No AC In Florida, and No Returned Calls or Emails

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was relatively clean, but stains in the carpet and sofa were prominent. A broken door shelf in the refrigerator to match the missing shelf were also found when we unloaded groceries. The gate code sent to us for beach access was wrong, and the call to the unpleasant representative for the rental agency went without a return call, but a neighboring renter was kind enough to give us the code. AC went out on Saturday afternoon, and the house would not get below 80. After checking the filter on the return,, it appeared to have mot been changed in quite a while, so we attempted to take the vacuum cleaner to it, only to find the the vacuum was broken as well. Our check out call, requesting a call back went unreturned as well, and 2 subsequent emails. Simply stated, this will be my first and last stay with Destin Palms.

Jody, Thanks for your feedback. This cottage was sold to a new owner just a few weeks before your stay. Your reservation was transferred from the former management company to Destin Palms, and some details were missed. After a full property reinspection, here's what we've done to correct them: carpet and sofa cleaned, AC unit serviced, refrigerator shelves repaired and replaced, vacuum cleaner replaced. Message transfers between management companies contributed to the incorrect gate codes and poor responsiveness you described. Hairdryers were provided (sometimes overlooked at condo v. hotel). Additional beach chairs and equipment were great to have. Carpet was stained on stairs, but overall floors were clean. Having a powder room was a definite plus in addition to en suite bathrooms. Walk to beach was a comfortable distance without actually being on the beach. Location was good and close to everything. Access codes were texted promptly and when gym code was not initially included, this was quickly remedied via text. We had a great time.
