Purgatory Resort is located between Silverton and Downtown Durango. Our condo is the perfect home base for exploring the Durango region year-round. It is a corner unit, so the balcony and patio offer some of the best views at the resort! It is nestled by a gorgeous 30â waterfall and fragrant pines and is just a short 3-minute walk to the lifts, and only 2 minutes to the Purgatory Lodge and Plaza. The condo is on 2 levels and is very comfy for 2-6 guests but can accommodate up to 8. The main living area is a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of hitting the slopes or exploring all that Durango has to offer. Whether you are traveling with family, friends or planning a romantic getaway, you will not be disappointed with your stay here!
Upstairs Features:
The upstairs is the entry and main living level. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, leather sofa and loveseat (replaced 2023), chair & ottoman, and a queen sleeper sofa. A smart TV is above the mantle on the stone fireplace. The entry area is tiled for removing boots and shoes, with direct access to one of the two full bathroom. The counter height dining table seats 8. The kitchen features a bottom freezer fridge, cabinets that are stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and accessories you need. There is a Cuisinart drip coffee maker, a standard Keurig, and a crock pot. The balcony is on the main level, has seating for 4 and a Weber BBQ.
Downstairs Features (2.5 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom):
All bedrooms are located downstairs where youâll find 2 fully private bedrooms, 1 semi-private bunk area, 1 full bathroom, and a patio. All downstairs floors are distressed hickory. The small bunk area is at the foot of the stairs, separated by a curtain, and is well appointed for children with a window and a dresser. (The bottom bunk is sturdy enough for an adult if needed.) A hallway leads to the downstairs full bathroom with travertine floors and walls, wood ceilings and a tub/shower combo. (At this time, the jets in the tub are not working.) The 2 private bedrooms are at the opposite end of the hallway. The main bedroom has a Smart TV and features a full wall of windows leading to the patio. There is an electric fireplace to keep you warm as the floor heater does not work in this bedroom (rest assured; the electric fireplace does it's job!). There are also 2 small cots under the bed for extra sleeping. The 2nd queen bedroom has a 2X3' window full of views, new mattress replaced Summer 2025, a small walk-in closet with organizer, and a Smart TV.
Building and Parking:
There are no buildings that block our spectacular balcony views. The building has a covered courtyard entrance (recessed about 14 steps down from street level), with a picnic table, plenty of extra firewood and a private ski locker. The building facades recently received a warm exterior make-over, with stack stone corner columns and distressed metal surround. Parking is right in front of the building (and directly across from Purgatory Lodge). You must display parking pass in vehicle at all times. Additional parking located in open ski parking.
Resort Amenities:
Purgatory Resortâs amenities include an outdoor heated pool w/ slide, hot tubs and fitness center which are located in the Lodge across the street. There is an additional fee of $35/night.
