This is the ultimate in what beach vacations are made of-house is on stilts and give a feel of stepping back in time to enjoy time with family and friends, yet still has all the modern luxuries to make your stay amazing.

Damage Waiver Disclaimer:

I. AGREEMENT
On behalf of Salty Dog Vacations, LLC, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will pay the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
II. EXCLUSIONS
This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:
1. Acts of God
2. Prior damage, cosmetic damage, or normal wear and tear
3. Theft without a valid police report if over $250
4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property
5. Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal
6. Damage to a motorized vehicle
7. Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items
This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.
This Waiver will not pay for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, landscaping, marring, maintenance, or mechanical breakdown.
III. CONDITIONS
Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable manner.
Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.
This Waiver will pay for excessive cleaning, as a direct result of damage, over and above the normal cleaning fee. An irreparable stain or spillage is considered damage.
This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, of up to 90 days, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars.
If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.
IV. DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property.

We are here to help so please reach out to the property manager for anything you need. Please note we have someone on staff 24 hours a day, so please call main number. Please do not reach out to individual staff as they may or may not be on call and if they are not working you will not hear back from them so please call main number.

Provided: 3 rolls toilet paper per bathroom, hand soap, dish soap (small bottle), 1 roll paper towels, 1 trash bag per bin, 3 dish soaps and three laundry pods.

Guests will be required to provide a photo ID and credit card for security deposit ($500). Security deposit is a pre-authorization, not an actual charge, unless there is damage or missing items. Authorization is removed within 48 hours of check-out.

This is a non-smoking unit-we don`t care what you smoke, just do it outside. Any smoke smell in home or evidence of smoking in home will result in complete loss of security deposit. If you smoke in the home, it both is unfair to the owner that is working hard to keep their unit nice and to the next guest that rented a smoke-free home. It`s Florida, this is non-negotiable so please understand.

We have our cleaners thoroughly clean and sanitize the home between each guest. We also ask our guests to please do the following at check-out (note, if this upsets you please simply find another location as there is a massive labor shortage, we frequently have guests ask for early or late check-in/out and this is how we are able to make things smooth for all guests. Please note our check out instructions:
1. Strip all beds used and pillows and put sheets, pillow covers and used towels in a pile in center of room or on beds for beds used.
2. Turn off all lights, fans can be left on.
3. Turn off TVs, coffee makers and other electronics.
4. All dishes should either be cleaned or put into dishwasher and start dishwasher cycle. This is to avoid dishes getting crusty and attracting bugs.
5. Please load one load of towels into washing machine and start.
6. Return any books, games, beach items, etc (beach items should be rinsed outside to get rid of any excess sand).
7. Empty any outdoor ashtrays, clean up any cigarette butts.
8. Empty all food from refrigerator (you can leave never opened beverages and used condiments if you wish) put in outside trash and make sure trash is on curb Sun night or Wed night.
9. Make sure keys are left in lockbox ($50 per key replacement) and garage remote and/or parking pass left on counter ($100 replacement fee).
10. Wipe down countertops and leave home the way you found it.
11. Turn A/C to 78 degrees prior to departure.
12. Drive or fly home safely and come back and see us soon!

Perfect location and breathtaking views

I am sure you won’t find any other place in Palm Coast so tranquil and closer to the beach. To make it the perfect place, a few house renovations will do the trick.

Great place to stay! Pics of stairs should be included as it's a townhouse with all bedrooms up stairs, which made it difficult for my 92 yr old mother to navigate. Location was great and house was clean, overall I would rent again.

Funky Pelican truly grows on you and you just feel right at home in no time. It’s a great location!

The group that works with the Funky Pelican works with you and makes the process very user friendly. A terrific Welcome basket was a fantastic added personal touch. This was a winner of a place to stay and fully enjoy the beachfront!

Beautiful Location

This house is in a gorgeous spot and the owners have worked hard to provide a sweet retreat with many amenities. The view and beach are gorgeous and quiet, and we loved the large decks. Our family of 4 had ample room and we could have been comfortable with 6-8 people. The beds were comfy and the linens soft. Be prepared for an older home experience. Despite some recent updates, this house has drafty windows and doors and very old kitchen and bathroom plumbing. There is also no longer a hot tub or a grill. Despite these minor issues we very much enjoyed our stay and I would book this house again.

Bad timing but beautiful location

This location is perfect. Our timing was off as I was told after we got there and had several issues that the home was getting ready for updates. The kitchen was dirty (cabinets not cleaned and they were sticky) the cleaning staff did not do their job and it’s really unfortunate. Issues with getting into the home (code didn’t work but finally able to access keys in the lockbox). The property manager was extremely kind and apologetic about the lack of cleanliness. I realize it’s a beach property and very casual but the problems we saw were unacceptable. Again, location was perfect and hopefully the updates are completed before anyone else stays here.

Slice of Paradise

It was all about the living on the beach experience for us. It was indeed! All the comforts of home right on the beach with spectacular views of the ocean. A true feeling of a private beach. We have a large family, nine of us, and we were all comfortable and had ample room without feeling crowded at all. The management was personable and available. Their instructions about the property were easy to understand and made things seamless. Watching the dolphins were addicting. I have decided on two must-haves in my life, a hot tub and a home on the beach 🙌
