Christmas Vacation

We really enjoyed our week stay at this cabin. We highly recommend staying here if you need privacy for your large family. Meaning that every bedroom has it's own bath. Beautiful cabin!

Lovely property!

Absolutely loved this cabin! The check in was super easy, and the view is amazing. Everything was super clean, and instructions for everything were simple as could be. The owners are extremely reasonable and easy to communicate with! We adored everything about this place ❤️

It was a great place. The only "problem" we had is our room had one towel in the bathroom for me and my husband to share. Everywhere else had 4. We had one.

This property is very cozy, quiet, comfortable and well cared for. With temperatures in the 90's, the cabin was always cool. Tammy and Guy are terrific to work with especially their quick action to solve the water problem which only lasted a couple of hours and with no disruption to our stay. We highly recommend this place and would absolutely come back for another stay.

Great layout for large family

We stayed Thanksgiving week 2023, we had our extended family - four different smaller families with ages ranging from 15 months to mid 50s. The bedroom layouts were great, separated for privacy. Kitchen was well stocked. Communication with owners was great, they were very attentive. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful Stay in a Beautiful Location

Gorgeous cabin in a wonderful location. Listing is totally accurate and the pictures don’t do the home justice. Plenty of room for our family of six with room to spare. Having the bedrooms split 2 per floor is perfect and the deck and hot tub overlooking Douglas Lake provides amazing views. The owner is extremely responsive to any issues as is the local property manager. We had a wonderful week and would go back again in a heartbeat.

Check in went great, some issues were mouse pellets in the downstairs couch, dishes in dishwasher were dirty, roach bugs in shower on main level and mouse traps on back porch.

Hi Sonya, We are so sorry about the issues with your stay! We have a contract for monthly pest treatments so I was quite concerned about you seeing bugs in a shower. I immediately contacted the pest control company to make an emergency visit for treatment. The technician came out and afterward, I spoke with the owner who said he is all but certain that it was a beetle (water bug) in the shower, not a roach. Thank goodness! I talked with our cleaner about the mouse traps, and she confirmed that there was just one mouse trap. She had placed it on a board near the ceiling of the deck because she had cleaned out a mouse nest from up there last week. I am not certain whether you are referring to seeing the trap up there or whether it had been knocked down to the floor of the deck, but I’m sure you recognize that mice can be difficult, especially during colder weather. I have also asked our cleaner to be more thorough and be sure to check inside the dishwasher at each cleaning. Lastly, as is noted in our house rules, we sincerely wish you had let us know about these issues as soon as you became aware so that we could have sent our cleaner back out to make things right for you. We take our hosting responsibilities very seriously and pride ourselves on providing wonderful stays for our guests so we are quite disappointed that you did not give us the opportunity to correct these issues for you. We are issuing you a partial refund for the inconveniences you experienced, and again we offer our sincerest apologies. Tammy and Guy

Gorgeous View

An amazing view of Lake Douglas. The location of the house is very peaceful with spectacular outdoor living areas that everyone enjoyed. The house is clean and worked great for our family of 11 with two dogs. Tammy and guy are very quick to respond to emails and helpful if you have any questions.

Our stay

We had a very nice time but were notified the day before arrival that the lake access that we were suppose to have was unavailable because of Hurricane Helene. That was September of last year so pretty sure this was something that we should have been told when we booked. The place was also not the cleanest. There were dead bugs and spiders everywhere almost like it hadn't been swept recently. I know this is in the mountains but if it is being rented the I would think that somebody would do a quick look through.

Luann, We are so very disappointed to see this review. We are surprised that you were unaware of how Hurricane Helene impacted Douglas Lake. The TVA and others have worked tirelessly since the hurricane to clean up the tons of debris in the water. It has been difficult to get status updates of the cleanup of specific coves and as we mentioned in our message to you, we had only just recently learned that our cove was still blocked with a boom. We notified you of this as soon as we became aware, 4 days ahead of your stay and we would have gladly offered you a refund if requested. We would love if you would send us information on where the dead insects were located. Our cleaner cleaned on Thursday before your Saturday arrival and she always does a good job, but we will surely make her aware of your feedback to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We take feedback from our guests very seriously and we are so sorry that we didn’t exceed your expectations. We would like to offer you a discount on another stay if you’d like to visit again. The house was very cute. The pics don't do it justice and the view out the back porch was lovely. It was a bit of a chore getting down to the water but we knew that when we booked it. Great Vacation

My family, my sister's family, our kids and our mother spent a week together at this cabin - everyone had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the seclusion of the property and private lake acccess. The cabin has great mountain views both front and back and all the comforts of home inside - we really had everything we needed. The owners were very responsive throughout the rental process as well as during our stay and clearly want their guests to enjoy their stays. The drive back and forth to popular attractions like Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and GSMNP were a bit tough for my small children, but worth it for the privacy and remoteness the cabin offered. We would definitely stay here again!

Our cabin has 4 bedrooms each with it's own private full bathroom. It has 2 levels with 2 bedrooms on each level and the lower level has a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and dining table with chairs allowing for some in your party to have earlier mornings or later evenings than others.

The secluded cove just a short walk down a gravel path is a wonderful place to kayak, fish, swim, picnic, or just enjoy the sunshine. There is a dock that is shared with the neighbor so you can park your boat or tie up your kayaks.

The cabin is just a 40 minute drive to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and with highway construction on Route 411 nearing completion, the drive will be even shorter.

Where you want fun in the sun at the lake, amusements, entertainment and shopping, or a peaceful and serene escape from it all, this cabin home has it! We would love to host your family or group of up to 12. Our goal is for your stay to make a wonderful, lasting impression!
